National Coffee Day: SPOOOOOOKY Concoctions...

Hello there Coffee Loving Crafty peeps!  Today is OUR DAY!  I'm excited to be joining my fellow Coffee Loving Cardmaking designers AND the Miss Ink Stamps team in sharing some Coffee inspiration!  This is not your traditional hop (we'll save that for the Fall/Winter Hop) but is a Sponsor featured hop.  That means each one of our fabulous sponsors listed on the hop page.  Since Miss Ink Stamps is one of the super sponsors and is offering up a fab prize, I thought I'd join the fun!!!

I created this spooooooky Halloween coffee card with some of the newest stamp sets released this month.  I stamped and colored the image from the Coffee Gnomes set and then stamped/masked/ colored the images from the Pumpkin Spice Gnome set.  I also doodled a spider web for the background and added a little color/splatter before attaching the images.  To finish things off, I attached some enamel dots and mounted the panel onto a purple panel before attaching to a white card base.
I am in such a Halloween kick lately so I'm having fun making my sets "halloween-ie"!  Hope you enjoy!

Thanks so much for hopping over to my blog and I hope you hop over to the Miss Ink Blog and the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog to check out all the fab info on this hop!  You just may win a coffee loving prize!!!

Sunday Sip...Jump right in!

Hello there coffee loving friends!  I'm back with another Sunday Sip and Share over at the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog.  This week, I'm feeling much better (my back is healing nicely) and I can now get back to that big pile of crafty goodness on my stamping table.  A while back, I purchased a some coffee-related stamp sets at my favorite little stamp shop Butterfly Reflections Ink and  I'm slowly working through inking up everything in my order.  This week, I decided to get this adorable little gnome-y coffee set by Stamping Bella.  It's called Swimmer Gnomes.  I just love gnomes and they are having such a good time in this image, don't you think?
To create my card, I started out by stamping the gnome cup onto Neenah Solar White cardstock with RG Avenue Black Taffy Ink.  I fussy cut the image and started working on watercoloring it with watercolor pencils.  After that was done, I took those same pencils and splattered some ink on the cup to give it more depth and then added some splatters on a background page.  After that, I used some RG Avenue Dazzling Pat to splatter some shimmery spatters on the page.  When it was dry, I stamped the sentiment over it with VersaColor Black ink.

To finish the card off, I mounted the cup onto the splattered panel with foam squares and then mounted it onto a blue card base.

I hope you enjoyed this card and I'll see you again soon!

Wendy Vecchi in the house...Masculine Coffee Card Inspiration!

Hello there inky friends!  Today is Sunday Sip day at the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog and it so happens that my card today is sharing a little wheat-ish vibe with my gorgeous handmade mug from Andrew Gilliatt.  When I first saw this new stamp/die/stencil set "Bravo" by Wendy Vecchi-for Ranger, I gushed.  I knew I could make the elusive MASCULINE card with these little gems and my mug would help light the way.  HA HA...

Check out all these yummy goodies available March 31!  I'm thrilled to be able to share some inspiration with the newest goodies in the Wendy Vecchi Make Art collection at Ranger and can't wait until YOU can get your hands on the goods too.  You'll definitely find these items must-haves in your card making wheelhouse!

To create my card, I selected some Wendy Vecchi Perfect Cardstock in Grey to build my masculine card.  I stamped the "wheat-like" images onto the panel using Potting Soil, Acorn, Watering Can and Carnation Red inks.  I used her fun new mini magnetic STAY-tion and stamp positioner to arrange my images perfectly on the page.  The Perfect Stamp Block also helped so much to allow me easy grip of the block (those scalloped edges are perfect) and the straight edge butted up to the stamp positioner just so snug!
Now that I take a closer look at those "wheat-like" images, I think they look more like the tall grass weeds that have gone to seed.  LOL...Whatever they are, they work perfectly for this masculine design.
After stamping the background, I added some flicks of black acrylic paint and silver metallic paint onto the panel to help tie everything together.  I then grabbed some kraft cardstock and created a sentiment panel.  I stenciled the "Thanks" from the stamp/die/stencil set using the Watering Can ink and then added the "cheering for you" sentiment over that using Carnation Red ink.  I mounted this panel onto a dark gray piece of cardstock and then machine stitched the top before wrapping it with some jute.
To finish things off, I attached a shell button a feather and a trio of coffee beans.  I mounted this panel onto a corrugated kraft panel before mounting the whole thing onto a dark gray card base.
Wahoo!  And there you have it.  The ever-elusive Masculine card is ready to mail!
Thanks so much for hopping over to check out my card...and the new goodies from Ranger.  I hope I inspired you to create something coffee-licious and MASCULINE!  See you again soon!

Sneaky Peek Day 3: A Tea-Lightful Collaboration!

Hello there crafty friends!  I've got some crafty fun in store for you today!  The Coffee Loving Cardmakers and The Cat's Pajamas designers are hopping together as we sneak a peek at the brand new stamp set that is SOOOO deelish!

Please join us as we share inspiration featuring this adorable new “Make Tea set  (and cutting filesavailable today at The Cat’s Pajamas!  Hop along with the Cat Pack and the Coffee Loving Cardmakers team as we share some tea-lightful projects with you.  Make sure to leave comments along the way as one lucky commenter will have the opportunity to win a fab prize from The Cat’s Pajamas!

My cards today incorporate the use of some deelish Sassafras printed paper (oldie but goodie) and I coordinated my Copic colors to match the paper...Just picked and picked and picked until the color was just right!  After coloring, I did a little bit of shading with colored pencils.

Of course I had to add some ribbon and buttons to the mix!  LOVE THEM!  I also added a bit of machine stitching to add another layer of texture...YUM!
My second card is a bit more of a "grungy vibe.  I carried my colors into the bunny/mouse using the polkadot paper as a foundation.  After coloring, I coordinated a bit more patterned paper from the pack (same Sassafras pad) that has a bit of a cross stitch pattern.
I distressed the edges of the paper with my fingernail and added some black splatter.  I also added a few bits of bling and some polka dotty ribbon...With a few staples, of course.
To finish off my card, I mounted the stamped/layered panel onto a black card base.  On the inside, I added another little mousey image and a panel of white cardstock.

Check out the complete blogroll for the hop.  I've included the inlinkz for easy clickable access to all the hop crumbs...You WON'T get lost!  .  Please make sure to visit each stop along the way (and leave some love) for a chance to win a TCP prize!

International Tea Day 2019...

Hello there inky friends!  I'm joining my fellow Coffee Loving Cardmaker designers as we share a little inspiration for International Tea Day 2019!  Many know that I LOVE Matcha tea almost as much as Coffee but I also love just regular Twinings English Breakfast Blend loose leaf tea.  It's such a delicious start to my early weekends!  I decided to make my card color scheme match the tin that I have my loose tea in.  I used the gorgeous Tea-Lightful Digi set from Graciellie Design and colored it with Copic markers.
I also paired it up with some old My Minds Eye Christmas paper from my stash.  I love that the lines in the paper mimic the lines in the cup and help give that almighty glow.

To finish off my card, I tied a bit of twine around the card front and that was it!  Easy, peasy!

I hope our tea-licious cards inspire you to plug in that teapot and brew a cup today!  Happy Tea day! Hop over to Coffee Loving Cardmakers to learn more about Tea Day!

Coffee Loving Cardmakers meets Not 2 Shabby!

Hello there inky friends!  Today I'm joining some of my fellow Coffee Loving Cardmaker designers and the designers of Not 2 Shabby as we collaborate with some fun YUMMY Coffee/Cocoa digis available exclusively through Not 2 Shabby!  These digis are fun AND inexpensive and I guarantee you'll have an awesome time playing with them!

For this collab, I selected two different delish images to create some yummy cards.  I chose "Pumpkin Spice Everything" a fun fall themed coffee image with a great sentiment! "Warm Wishes", a yummy little hot cocoa mug with two sweet marshmallow's relaxing and a nice cozy sentiment!
Since these images are digital, I had the freedom to reverse the image to make the pumpkin appear on the left.  I also took the sentiment and repeated it over and over again so that I could use it as a background.  I saw a really pretty aqua/teal pumpkin in real life this year and just fell in love so I decided to create my pumpkin with this non-traditional but very festive color.  I used my Copics to give the perfect color to the images.  I also added a bit of white gel pen here and there for highlights.
For my second card, I kept the image a bit small so that I could use some fun Bo Bunny winter paper (retired and from my stash).  The image comes with the sentiment on the mug but I opted to remove it so that I could decorate the mug with fun little designs after coloring.  I did move the sentiment so that I could use it separately.  That's another thing I love about digis!
Adding some snowflakes, some diecuts and some bling/ribbon and this card is ready for mailing!
Thanks for hopping over to check out my card!  I hope you enjoy the rest of the hop collab.  Thanks so much to Not 2 Shabby for allowing us the opportunity to play with the pumpkin spice images.  I'm happy I was able to purchase the Warm Wishes set.  SUCH A STEAL OF A DEAL!

Make sure you leave a comment on each blog in the collab for a chance to win a gift certificate (2 are being offered) to go shopping at N2S! Their shop is stocked full of goodies!

Sunday Sip: Graciellie Designs Farmhouse Christmas!

Hello there inky friends!  It's Sunday Sip day at Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog and I'm sharing a pretty card I created using some of the newest digital stamp sets from Graciellie Design.

To create my pretty "Farmhouse Christmas" Spice Cocoa card, I combined two of Gracie's new sets:  Festive Wreath Mini Bundle and Cheery Cocoa Mini Bundle.  I just LOVE the images and the mix of fun sentiment fonts!  It's PERFECTLY PERFECT for the Christmas season!!!
To create my card, I colored the images with my Copic markers and then added some Glossy Accents to the pinecones and the center of each flower.  I also added a bit of shine to the cinnamon stick.
After coloring, I set the images aside and started working on the base layer.  I mounted a piece of kraft cardstock onto a white card base (topfold) and then flicked some black acrylic paint onto a kraft card panel and then attached some of my favorite burlap ribbon to the Farmhouse sentiment.  I then started layering all the pieces together and voila!  This beauty was complete!
Thanks so much for stopping over to check out my card today!  Hope you have a fabulous week!  See you again soon!

Coffee Loving Cardmakers and Trinity Stamps Collaboration Hop

Hello there Coffee Loving Cardmakers and fans of Trinity Stamps!  Today is the day!  If you've arrived here from Annette's blog, you're on the right track!  We're excited to be sharing the fun new stamp set that Trinity stamps designed in collaboration with Coffee Loving Cardmakers!  We're thrilled that we were asked to collaborate on the design of this fun set and we're exxcited to be sharing some yummy inspiration with you today!  The fun new Frappy Camper Stamp set AND COORDINATING DIE SET were released early this month on National Coffee Day and we shared a few inspirational pieces then.  Check out my post HERE to see my other coffee-licious creation.

One lucky commenter will win a $20 Gift Card to the Trinity shop.  Please leave a comment no later than Oct. 22 at 11:59PM Pacific time for a chance to win! The winner will be announced on Oct. 26 on the Trinity blog.

I decided to go a little watercolor/doodly route this time with my card.  To achieve the watercolor effect, I dropped watermelon, tangerine and banana colored reinkers on my Gelli Plate and spritzed them with water.  Once the ink was blended, I placed a piece of white cardstock onto it to lift the color.  Next, I dried the paper with a heat gun.  Once it was dry, I moved on to stamping the images.  I fussy cut the images and set them aside so I could start doodling on the page.

I doodled the grass and the sun and then colored with Copic markers.  After that, I mounted the images onto the doodled panel and then mounted this panel onto pink cardstock and then onto a white card base.  VOILA!  I love it!

Thanks for hopping over and I hope you enjoy the rest of the hop!  Please head on over to Helen's blog to check out her fab work!

National Coffee Day: Super Sponsor Joy Clair

Hello again coffee loving crafty peeps!  I hope you've been having fun getting inspired by all the gorgeous creations made featuring our Super Sponsors at Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog!  Today I'm joining the National Coffee Day blog hop challenge and am sharing a few cards featuring our Super Sponsors!  I like to keep manufacturer posts separate, so I've got several blog posts today so I hope you check 'em all out!  For this post, I pulled out a favorite set from Super Sponsor Joy Clair!
I've been having a rough patch with school and my health so I created a few cards for my school peeps who have been there for me when I've been a crazy wreck.  I appreciate their listening ears and their support more than they know.  Hopefully things will become a bit more sunshiny and happy in the near future.

I decided to use a few sets that work perfectly for my "thanks" cards to these special peeps.  I used "TEACHER" set and the paw prints from the "DOG GONE CHRISTMAS" set.  Although my school mascot is a Wildcat, I think the paw print fits nicely.  I also used our school colors to make these more customized.
I created a couple different versions:  one design for my awesome teamies and another design for my administrators.
Just a few copics were needed to create this fun school themed collection!
Thanks for hopping over to check out these little cards.  I hope you make sure to head over to the Coffee Lovers National Coffee Day Hop and check out all the super sponsor posts!  Make sure to leave comments.  You'll have until Sunday, Oct. 6 at 11:59 Pacific time to have a chance to win the prizes available for this hop!

See you soon!

Sunday Sip...Tea Treats!

Hello there Coffee-tea-cocoa loving crafty friends!  It's Kerry here and I'm back with another fun Sunday Sip!  Today I'm sharing a fun little tea giftie for a special someone.  The gift includes a sweet little decorated gift bag with a little note tucked inside and a few hand-packaged bags of specialty teas.  The black polka-dot ribbon indicates a super delish English breakfast tea and the orange twine indicates a yummy vanilla Thai Tea.

To create my ensemble, I started out by frothing some Nutpod "creamer" and brewing myself a cup of bold coffee.  After taking a few sips, I got to work on distressing a piece of Wendy Vecchi Perfect White cardstock by Ranger.  I then use the brand spankin' new Wendy Vecchi Make Art Blendable inks to create a vibrant background.  I used the new colors:  Forget Me Not, Tiger Lily and Leaf Green.  I also used the fabulous new blending brush "Big Beautiful Blending Brush" by The Cat's Pajamas to achieve the seamless blending.  After I was satisfied with the background color, I stamped the sentiment "A Million Thanks" from the Wendy Vecchi "Thanks a Million" stamp/die/stencil combo set a million times (hee hee) along the right edge of the panel. Next, I attached two strips of Wendy Vecchi washi tape along the other side of the panel.  I used my sewing machine to add some stitching on top of the washi for added texture.
Next, I set out to stamp and color the floral image in the set.  I wanted to use this ink as a watercolor medium so I dabbed a bit of each color onto my Ranger mat and used a superfine paint brush (and a bit of water) to add the color.  As I was coloring the image, I incorporated the Pink Peony and Carnation Red Blendable Dye inks as well to give some added dimension to the flower.
When I felt the image was colored just the way I wanted it, I added a few white highlights here and there with my White Gelly Roll pen.  I added some graph paper (I just can't do without it!) and attached the flower.  To finish the panel off, I added some polka-dotted ribbon and a cute orange button.  I mounted this panel onto a black Jillibean Soup gift bag (retired) and started working on packaging the tea gifts.  While I was at it, I brewed myself up a cup of Thai tea in my French Press.  It made a mighty fine photo prop while it was steeping, right?
Thanks so much for hopping over today!  I have been having such a fabulous time crerating with the new Wendy Vecchi goodies and I want to thank Ranger for giving me the opportunity to play with these fabulous products!  The blendable inks...I'm in love (I had to order 'em ALL!) and the stamp/die/stencil combo is such a treat.  Of course, you've gotta love a nice collection of washi tape too!  WOO HOO!
