Hey there coffee/tea/cocoa loving crafters! I'm joining a few of my fellow CLC designers and the Studio Katia Design Team as we celebrate International TEA day with a fun hop featuring some of Studio Katia's clear stamp sets, dies and sequin goodies! I just love Studio Katia and was thrilled to be invited to participate! I selected the most adorable bear set called
Winter Kobe to coordinate with the
Sweet Latte set I had in my stash. I also paired it up with the
Brush Stroke set- a fun set of stripes you can stamp individually or in a cluster.
If you've hopped here from
Erin's blog, you're on the right path. If not, no worries, just hop along after me or scroll down for a complete line-up of participants! Studio Katia is offering a sweet prize too, so make sure to leave comments along the way! Commenting will be open from Dec. 15-22 and the prize announcement will be made on my Sunday Sip post on December 23.
I tried to incorporate some "tea leaves" instead of holly- so as you might notice, I have quite a few leaves here and there. The bag is a huge bag of tea leaves. HEE HEE...
I just LOVED coloring these images. I pulled quite a few Copics to make this little fella come to life!
After stamping and coloring the bear/bag, I stamped the cup and teapot from the Sweet Latte set. I added some snowflakes using the Winter Kobe set and painted over these images with ivory acrylic paint to lighten them up. I did the same with the background panel. The stripes were stamped with Catherine Pooler ink.
I added a strip of Photoplay printed paper and then some distressed jingle bells were tied on with twine. To finish the card off, I mounted this panel onto a gray piece of cardstock and mounted the panel onto a white card base. Next up, it was on to the tag.
I gave the tag a similar layout. This time, instead of the teapot and teacup, I chose to stamp the sentiment from the Sweet Latte set, and stamp the bear and tree from the Winter Kobe set. I colored them with the Copics and then mounted them onto the tag.
To add some extra texture and fun, I applied some crystals (
April White Diamond Crystals and November Crystals) and some
Crystal Stars to the tree and to the tag itself with some diamond glaze adhesive.
So fun!
Thanks for hopping over to see my projects. Thank you to Studio Katia for allowing me the opportunity to play with your awesome projects! I LOVE LOVE LOVE them!!! Please hop on over to
Katie's blog to finish off the hop! :)
