May your birthday be LIT!

Good morning inky friends!  It's Kerry here and today I'm sharing a sneaky peek for the brand new stamp release at Miss Ink Stamps.  Today we're sharing projects using the fun collection of GNOMES!  Yep, these little gnomes are up to awesome adventures!  I can't wait to share all of them with you but today, I'm revealing my "Perfect Match" card. The Perfect Match stamp set is so fun and whimsical.  It reminds me of the antics of the House Mouse stamps that I love so much.  These gnomes are definitely just as full of mischief as the little House Mouse, don't you think?

There are THREE new Gnome sets being released this week:
Birthday Gnomes (prize on IG),
Thank You Very Much (a twist on Elvis)
Perfect Match!

If you're interested in joining the fun giveaway, please check out Miss Ink IG HERE.  Today, they're offering a fun giveaway of the Birthday Gnomes set.  Once the sets release, I will provide links to them on my blog post here.  You can also keep an eye out for them on the Miss Ink Stamps website HERE.

If you're interested in checking out how I created the gorgeous background for this card, check out the little videos I created for my TikTok.  If you follow the TOK, please follow me.  I would love to be able to do some lives over there...but I'm at just a few followers and I need at least 1000 to make lives...So until I reach that milestone, I'll share fun little video snips like this!  You can find me over there @stampingbugKerry.  :)

Spring Summer Coffee Lovers Hop Day 4: Miss Ink Stamps!

Hello there coffee loving crafty peeps!  It's DAY 4 of the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Spring/Summer hop and today I'm sharing my fourth project with you today!  This time, I'm featuring the fun new stencil called "Latte Love" and the oldie but goodie coffee set "Brewtiful" from Miss Ink Stamps.

To create my card, I started out by stenciling some Citrus Green and Cottage White Folk Art paint over the stencil using a foam dauber.  After that, I attached some sparkly washi and tied on some crumpled tissue paper for texture.  I used some green ribbon and some satin twine along with a bit of golden trad to tie on a yellow button.
To finish things off, I added some green Nuvo drops and added some Lucky Leprechaun Dazzle Dust over the drops to make them sparkly.  I mounted the panel onto some yellow cardstock and then onto a yummy lime card base.

Thanks so much for hopping over to check out my project.  I hope it inspires you to create something for the hop!  See you tomorrow for DAY 5!  Make sure to play along too.  You can upload your card and check out all the entries and Super Sponsors HERE.

Sending a whole latte love...

Hey there inky friends!  Today I'm sharing a sweet little coffee collage card that'll be heading out in the mail soon.  I wanted to spend some time this weekend (in the brand new year) digging into some old but loved supplies collecting dust.  I've decided that this is the year to go through all my stuff...and get more acquainted with supplies I haven't used in a while.

I pulled out my Pan Pastels and decided to use a few colors on the pretty Floral Wave Offset stencil from Miss Ink Stamps.  I used to blending brushes to create this beautiful blend...  I used PanPastel 520.3 Ultramarine Blue Shade and 430.5 Magenta to create this beautiful background.
After creating the background, I  stamped the images from the Brewtiful set with VersaColor ink (Nocturne) and then heatset before applying more PanPastel over that.  I fussy cut all the images and then started assembling the collage using some of my most favorite embellishing touches.

Take a closer peek at the collage...I mounted this cardfront onto some white cardstock before adhering it to a blue card base.

I really love how this card turned out and I hope you like it too.  I'll see you again soon with another fun creation!  Have a great weekend!

All is calm...

Hello there inky friends. Today I'm sharing a card I created for one of my sisters and her family for Chirstmas. I wanted to give them a little piece of peace and calm and I felt this scene captured it perfectly.

To create this scene, I stamped the Mountainside mini scene on a dark blue cardstock panel with Versafine Onyx ink and then embossed it with silver sparkly embossing powder from my stash.  I then blended black ink along the edges before grabbing my Distress ink in Turquoise, Purple and Pink to create this pretty aurora in the sky.  I then spritzed water onto the panel to help let the ink bleed together.  Next, I splashed a bit of sparkly shimmer on the panel.

I stamped and embossed the sentiment from the Little Angel set because it just fit so perfectly with this scene.  I cut the sentiment into a banner and then mounted it onto the stamped panel.  To finish things off, I attached some sparkly tinsel ribbon and some tiny sheer bows before adding a little bling.  I mounted this whole panel onto a piece of white cardstock, then gray stock before popping the whole panel onto a white card base.

Thanks for hopping over to check out my card.  I hope it inspired you and I hope you have a wonderful 2021!

See you again soon!

Cheers! Miss Ink Stamps...Happy New Year!

Hey there inky friends!  Today I'm sharing a fun and festive card featuring the new Miss Ink Stamps mini set called Happy New Year!  It's a sweet little set that includes a sentiment that is soooo true and some traditional images like a champagne bottle, champagne glasses  and other fun elements.
I also used the fun Halftone Rectangles stencil to create a fun and festive background.  I used some acrylic paint and a paint brush to give hints here and there of the rectangle shapes in the stencil.  I wanted it to mimic the look of a disco ball--- or the light that comes from one.  Party, right?!
I know we all are trying to rush through this crazy year and I can't wait to put it in the rear-view mirror!  How about you?

You're In my heart...

Hello there inky friends!  Today I'm sharing a card I created with the fab products from Miss Ink Stamps.  I wanted to create a fall/Thanksgiving card to send to some of my <3 people because I'm having to make some very hard decisions about Thanksgiving this year...Should I go, should I stay home, this decision is really weighing on me.  I know so many others are having to make these heavy decisions too, and I am not alone, but it still sucks royally!

As I work through all the ramifications of my decision and how it affects so many (including myself), I think spending time crafting helps calm me and focus my intentions...So, while this decision was running through my mind, I pulled out my Gel Press, my acrylic paints, my stamps and my sewing machine and just got lost in the process.

To create my card, I started out by placing stripes of red/orange/yellow acrylic paint on my Gel Press.  I then used a sponge to blend them together in an ombre effect then added the fun Stripes in the Basics Stencil Bundle over the top then sponged again to help lift some of the paint.  I released the stencil and then stamped the leaf spray from the Springtime Banners set onto the paint to lift the ink from the plate.  I let that layer dry and then added some cream acrylic paint over that before adhering white cardstock and peeling it off to release the images from the plate.

Next, I stamped the leaves as if they were falling onto the panel using black Versafine ink, heat set it and then colored the leaves with dark orange Copic marker.  I then flicked some black acrylic paint onto the panel and let it dry.

I machine stitched the black seam binding and pulled the thread to help gather and pucker the ribbon before attaching it to a piece of torn book paper.  I then used some white thread (colored with dark brown Copic) to add another layer of texture before attaching the paper to the panel.  I stamped the sentiment (from the Everyday Sentiments set) onto white cardstock and added that to my layers.  To finish things off, I colored some pearls with red Copic marker, attached them and then applied some Autumn Dazzle Dust to a wooden heart embellsihment.

I attached everything to a piece of red/cardstock before mounting onto a white card base.

Thanks for stopping over to check out my card...

Autumn Greetings- Pretty Posies and Fall Leaves from Miss Ink Stamps

Hello there inky friends!  Today I'm sharing a sweet floral card created for someone special.  I used the pretty new Fall Bouquet stamp set from Miss Ink Stamps.  I also used the fun Mouse Floral stencil by blending a light load of white opaque ink over the kraft card base.
I colored my image with Copic markers and with watercolor pencils.  I tried to incorporate all the pretty colors of fall...including the gorgeous blue sky agains the oranges and greens...

To finish things off, I tied some jute into a triple bow and tucked it under my popped-up floral spray.  I also added a few bits of bling for fancy!

Thanks for hopping over to check out my card.  I hope it inspires you to play with color and to get a little fancy!

Apple Pie and Pumpkin Spice...Nom Nom Nom!

Hey there inky friends!  Have you seen all the yummy fall stamp sets at Miss Ink Stamps yet?  If not, hop over to their website and check 'em all out.  This release is so fun and gnome-tastic! Today I'm sharing this fun fall card featuring the new Pumpkin Spice Gnomes set from Miss Ink Stamps.  I just love this set and the scenery as well as the assortment of Gnomes.  For this card, I picked the little pie totin' gnome so that I could get in the mooood for the fall season.  While creating this card, I also had some apple pie spice hot wax melting in my hot pot...SO perfect for this aromatic scene.
I'm loving the "spotlighting" effect of coloring a single image with vibrant colors and then stamping/coloring the background in darker colors to create depth and detail.  I really wanted the background paper to be deep and rich so I selected this cranberry colored cardstock from my stash.  I think it worked perfectly for this scene.  I used Copics to color the gnome and then stamped/embossed and colore the background images using some watercolor pencils (without water).  I also added some white ink along the edges to really make the scene etherial.  Next, I mounted the scene onto a piece of pale yellow cardstock and then onto a cinnamon spice cardstock base.

Thanks so much for hopping over to check out my card!  I hope it gets you in the mood for fall!

See you again soon!

Hello there Coffee Loving Crafty peeps!  Today is OUR DAY!  I'm excited to be joining my fellow Coffee Loving Cardmaking designers AND the Miss Ink Stamps team in sharing some Coffee inspiration!  This is not your traditional hop (we'll save that for the Fall/Winter Hop) but is a Sponsor featured hop.  That means each one of our fabulous sponsors listed on the hop page.  Since Miss Ink Stamps is one of the super sponsors and is offering up a fab prize, I thought I'd join the fun!!!

Miss Ink Stamps NEW RELEASE: Beautiful Destination...

Hello there inky friends!  Today is the day!  It's the official NEW RELEASE LAUNCH!  We're sharing inspiration using some of the newest sets at Miss Ink Stamps!  Today, I get to share a card I created featuring the new Beautiful Destination set.  This set is a gorgeous collection of stamps that can be assembled in a variety of ways to create a tall slimline card.

Now this set is quite fun, for sure.  You can pick and choose these scene elements to create a gorgeous mountain/stream scene or you can choose to create a prairie with a stream.  It's totally up to you!  I decided to create a fall scene using the mountains for the background and added some fall trees in the background too.

I just love Black Eyed Susan flowers so I colored the little flowers at the base of the stream like that.  I also added some hints of green to my stream.  I can just look at this scene and take a big deeeeep breath.  That place would be Heaven for me right now!!!

I added some stitching to the edge of the image to give a little texture and to finish off my card.  As you can see below, I'm not a planner when it comes to coloring with my Copics so I just kept pulling more and more colors to bring this scene to life.  HA HA... I was sooo into coloring, my coffee went cold.  BAHAHA.  In the zone for sure.

Thanks so much for hopping over to check out my card!  I hope it inspires you to create something amazing too!  See you again soon!

Sending you HUGE hugs...Miss Ink creations

Hello there inky friends,  Today I'm sharing a special little card I created featuring the adorable new Hippo Hooray stamp set from Miss Ink Stamps.  I think this has to be one of the cutest stamp sets out there and I knew it would be a perfect set to create a card for a friend who's in the hospital with COVID.  I know she can't have visitors right now, but I hope she knows I'm praying for her and this little greeting will be waiting for her when she gets home. I also paired it up with the fun Sunburst Stencil to create a fun light from above water scene as a backdrop for my cute little water family.
To create the background, I used the stencil a blending brush and four BLUE inks from Wendy Vecchi.  I twisted the stencil for each color applied to create the beautiful rays of light.  I then flicked some white acrylic paint on the background for some added layering.
Next, I diecut a circle (with stitching) and punched a couple holes at the top so I could thread some teal twine and a button through.  Stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx ink and then stamped the sea grass with Wendy Vecchi ink.  I then stamped and colored the critters with my Copic Markers.

To finish things off, I mounted this circle onto the page with foam squares and then assembled the critters around that with foam squares.  I mounted this image onto a white card base and called it DONE!

Thanks for hopping over today to check out this card.  I hope it inspires you to create something cute and FUN!   See you again soon!

Miss Ink Stamps NEW RELEASE SNEEK: Firetruck Duck!

Hello there inky friends!  Miss Ink Stamps NEW RELEASE Day is coming soon (August 1) and I'm so excited to share a little sneaky treat with you today.  This adorable little set called "Firetruck Duck" is just the cutest and I'm so thrilled to be able to share a card I created with it today!

Firetruck Duck is an adorable set complete with playful ducks, a firetruck and some punny sentiments!  To create my card, I started out by using the Sunburst Stencil.  I used two colors from the Wendy Vecchi blendable inks line to create the sun rays and then added some microfine glitter as well as Champagne Stardust to add more bold pops of sparkle.

After creating the background, I colored the images with Copic markers and then fussy cut them out.  I set them aside and mounted the starburst panel onto a piece of light blue cardstock.  I then added some graph paper to the edge the page.  Next, I machine stitched these layers together and then mounted the ducks to the panel.  I mounted this panel onto a light yellow card base (with a topfold).

After the front panel was complete, I started working on the inside.  I used the same techniques- but lowered the sun rays so that a message could easily fit at the top portion of the panel.
I just love this card and I know you'll have a BALL playing with this set too!  I hope it inspires you to create something fun and playful!

I'm on my way to the Punny Farm...Miss Ink Stamps

Hey there inky friends!  I'm sharing a sweet little card featuring the cute Punny Farm Pigs critter set from Miss Ink Stamps.

I did a bit of layering to achieve the dimension I wanted.  I also stenciled the bigger pond in the background and traced around it to mimic the other pond so that the layering would be like that of a shadow box.

To help the scene meld together, I traced the inside of the sun (from the Scene Builder Stencil), the large pond, the grasses and the edge of the scene with my black microfine pen.  I also added a bit of Champagne Stardust to the ponds...just to make them sparkle.

These little piggies and ducklings are so adorable.  I just love 'em.

Thanks for hopping over!  I hope this card inspires you to play today!
