Spring Summer Coffee Lovers Hop Day 4: Miss Ink Stamps!

Hello there coffee loving crafty peeps!  It's DAY 4 of the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Spring/Summer hop and today I'm sharing my fourth project with you today!  This time, I'm featuring the fun new stencil called "Latte Love" and the oldie but goodie coffee set "Brewtiful" from Miss Ink Stamps.

To create my card, I started out by stenciling some Citrus Green and Cottage White Folk Art paint over the stencil using a foam dauber.  After that, I attached some sparkly washi and tied on some crumpled tissue paper for texture.  I used some green ribbon and some satin twine along with a bit of golden trad to tie on a yellow button.
To finish things off, I added some green Nuvo drops and added some Lucky Leprechaun Dazzle Dust over the drops to make them sparkly.  I mounted the panel onto some yellow cardstock and then onto a yummy lime card base.

Thanks so much for hopping over to check out my project.  I hope it inspires you to create something for the hop!  See you tomorrow for DAY 5!  Make sure to play along too.  You can upload your card and check out all the entries and Super Sponsors HERE.

May is for Beautiful Mothers...

Hello there Joy Clair Friends!  Today we're kicking off May theme challenge!  This month we're celebratin' our Momma's.  I've got another special project for my mom that will be shared on Mother's Day, but this card will be given to her before she heads off on her month long trip to Germany with my dad.  They'll enjoy some time visiting our roots in Poland (which was part of Germany at the time) and will be visiting family in Berlin.  I so wish I could be able to join them but this teacher has a job to do.

I decided to create a flowery card using a color my mom loves:  YELLOW!  The sentiment was perfect for her, and i knew it would be the star of the show.  My mom is the most loving person I know and she is such an inspiration to me.  I'm so blessed to be her daughter.

To create this card, I stamped the flower from the Flawless set using the Memento colors pictured below.  I felt these cards exuded the love and light that beams from my Momma's heart...
After stamping the flower background, I stamped the sentiment onto kraft cardstock using Tuxedo Black ink. I cut it into a banner shape and added a little sparkle washi for fun.  As my cards are never void of ribbon, twine or fibers, I added a few wraps of natural colored twine, then popped a stamped, watercolored and glossed heart over the bow.  A few more watercolored hearts would finish it off.
The sentiment banner was attached using some foam squares and the stamped panel was glued to a kraft card base.
I hope my mom has a fabulous time galavanting around and I'll be ready to pick them up when their plane arrives back home.
Thanks for stopping by!  Please come back to see my other extra-special project created especially for my mom on Mother's Day.
