Graciellie Design meets WOW! Embossing Powders and Glitters!!!

Hello there inky friends!  Today, I'm joining some of my fellow Graciellie Design team members as well as the designers for WOW! Embossing Powders in a fun Instagram collaboration hop!  Join us for inspiration and card ideas featuring Graciellie Design digital stamps and WOW! Embossing powders and glitters.  Make sure to check out all the inspiration and leave some love along the way.  You may win a $75 prize!

I've included the list of all the IG participants at the bottom of my post.  Please use it to help you navigate the hop.

My first card features the beautiful vintage roses from the "Hey Beautiful" set.  I paired the images with a fun dotty/glittery/pearlescent embossed background.  (To create the dots, just simply apply fine glue dots to your cardstock and emboss over that).
I selected three colors of WOW! powder to create my design.

While the Mint Macaroon Embossing Powder allowed for a pearlescent and smooth dotty effect, the Oceanic Embossing Powder allowed for a deep matte finish.  To add a pop of sparkle, I selected the Crushed Ice Sparkles which really helped carry the dotty movement of my design into the next level.  This trio of powders was a dream to work with!!
My next card features the brand new digi set called:  "Coffee is Life". Of course I HAD to create with the newest coffee themed set, right?!  HA HA.

I selected a deep coral cardstock for my base and then brushed some gold medium over the paper.  While wet, I sprinkled three powders onto my panel to crate this fun brushstroke background.

The pearlescent sheen of the Metalline Himalayan Musk is just so gorgeous.  You'll see that sheen more closely in the picture at the end.  I also added two very sparkly glitters "Truffle Sparkles" and "Oh Dorothy! Sparkles".  The Truffle sparkle added a richness that worked beautifully with the colors of the digital image.  And that Oh Dorothy!, well, it added the pop of red that I wanted to pull out of the coffee bean fruits.
After working with the background, I colored the coffee flower/berry/pods using Copics and then fussy cut.  After that, I attached the sentiment banner (my preferred sentiment treatment) and added some taupe satin ribbon.  YUM!
Adding just a few strips of golden cardstock helped tie in the sparkle of the background and lift some of the gold medium through.  Just the delish layers upon layers of yummy goodness is what I was after.
Just look at that metallic/pearlescent sheen...and that sparkle.  YUM!
Thanks so much for hopping over to check out my cards.  Please make sure to hop over to my fellow crafty peeps blogs/FB pages and IG pages to check out their work!  Also, check out all that Gracielle Design and WOW! embossing powders has to offer.  You're going to LOVE it!

Sneaky Peek Day 3: A Tea-Lightful Collaboration!

Hello there crafty friends!  I've got some crafty fun in store for you today!  The Coffee Loving Cardmakers and The Cat's Pajamas designers are hopping together as we sneak a peek at the brand new stamp set that is SOOOO deelish!

Please join us as we share inspiration featuring this adorable new “Make Tea set  (and cutting filesavailable today at The Cat’s Pajamas!  Hop along with the Cat Pack and the Coffee Loving Cardmakers team as we share some tea-lightful projects with you.  Make sure to leave comments along the way as one lucky commenter will have the opportunity to win a fab prize from The Cat’s Pajamas!

My cards today incorporate the use of some deelish Sassafras printed paper (oldie but goodie) and I coordinated my Copic colors to match the paper...Just picked and picked and picked until the color was just right!  After coloring, I did a little bit of shading with colored pencils.

Of course I had to add some ribbon and buttons to the mix!  LOVE THEM!  I also added a bit of machine stitching to add another layer of texture...YUM!
My second card is a bit more of a "grungy vibe.  I carried my colors into the bunny/mouse using the polkadot paper as a foundation.  After coloring, I coordinated a bit more patterned paper from the pack (same Sassafras pad) that has a bit of a cross stitch pattern.
I distressed the edges of the paper with my fingernail and added some black splatter.  I also added a few bits of bling and some polka dotty ribbon...With a few staples, of course.
To finish off my card, I mounted the stamped/layered panel onto a black card base.  On the inside, I added another little mousey image and a panel of white cardstock.

Check out the complete blogroll for the hop.  I've included the inlinkz for easy clickable access to all the hop crumbs...You WON'T get lost!  .  Please make sure to visit each stop along the way (and leave some love) for a chance to win a TCP prize!

Coffee Loving Cardmakers meets Not 2 Shabby!

Hello there inky friends!  Today I'm joining some of my fellow Coffee Loving Cardmaker designers and the designers of Not 2 Shabby as we collaborate with some fun YUMMY Coffee/Cocoa digis available exclusively through Not 2 Shabby!  These digis are fun AND inexpensive and I guarantee you'll have an awesome time playing with them!

For this collab, I selected two different delish images to create some yummy cards.  I chose "Pumpkin Spice Everything" a fun fall themed coffee image with a great sentiment! "Warm Wishes", a yummy little hot cocoa mug with two sweet marshmallow's relaxing and a nice cozy sentiment!
Since these images are digital, I had the freedom to reverse the image to make the pumpkin appear on the left.  I also took the sentiment and repeated it over and over again so that I could use it as a background.  I saw a really pretty aqua/teal pumpkin in real life this year and just fell in love so I decided to create my pumpkin with this non-traditional but very festive color.  I used my Copics to give the perfect color to the images.  I also added a bit of white gel pen here and there for highlights.
For my second card, I kept the image a bit small so that I could use some fun Bo Bunny winter paper (retired and from my stash).  The image comes with the sentiment on the mug but I opted to remove it so that I could decorate the mug with fun little designs after coloring.  I did move the sentiment so that I could use it separately.  That's another thing I love about digis!
Adding some snowflakes, some diecuts and some bling/ribbon and this card is ready for mailing!
Thanks for hopping over to check out my card!  I hope you enjoy the rest of the hop collab.  Thanks so much to Not 2 Shabby for allowing us the opportunity to play with the pumpkin spice images.  I'm happy I was able to purchase the Warm Wishes set.  SUCH A STEAL OF A DEAL!

Make sure you leave a comment on each blog in the collab for a chance to win a gift certificate (2 are being offered) to go shopping at N2S! Their shop is stocked full of goodies!

Joy Clair and Clear Scraps Collaboration: Wooden Easel Fun!

Hello there inky friends!  I'm so excited to be sharing a fun little end-of-the-school-year gift using Clear Scraps wooden elements and Joy Clair stamps!  WOOP!!!  Check out the Joy Clair Blog for more collaboration projects ALL THIS WEEK! Make sure to leave some love too... You just might win a prize!!!
Today I'm featuring the Clear Scraps Vintage Wood Phone Stand.  Not only can this wood piece be a cell phone stand, it can also be a card stand (for photos) as well as a little recipe card easel or, in this case, an "End of the school year" photo stand.  I know that this time of year brings all the feels for many families and the "Last Day of School" photos have been flooding my social media pages.  How about you?

They're so adorable.  Why not capture the image, print it and gift it to someone special?  This easel is the perfect showcase for that photo!  As for me as a kindergarten teacher, I would be thrilled to prop up a little class photo on this easel and set it atop my desk on the first day of school.  A little reminder of all the growth to come!
I started out by painting the easel using ivory acrylic paint.  After the paint dried, I stamped the little apple from the new Teacher set using Palette Black ink and then heat set.  After that, I painted over the apples a bit with a drybrush technique so that the apples could peek through.  I didn't want the apples to be crisp and clean, I wanted them to leave hints that they are there.

After the paint dried, I applied some Copic coloring and stippling to the apples using a variety of red/pink/green colors.  After I was happy with the color, I flicked some ivory acrylic paint over it to finish off the panel.  To finish off the design and move on to gift-giving presentation, I cut a piece of red cardstock into a tag shape attached some ribbon and twine (and a red button) and added a punny little sentiment.  Now it's ready for its debut!
This was such a fun project and I look forward to propping up a class photo on this easel when school begins!  Thanks Clear Scraps for the opportunity to play with your wood products.  I had a ball!

The Rabbit Hole Designs and Coffee Loving Cardmakers Preview

Hello there Coffee Loving Crafters!  I'm thrilled to be welcoming The Rabbit Hole Designs to the stamping community and am excited they asked the CLCDT to join them in their launch debut!  What a special privilege to be able to help reveal their images and products with the stamping community!  Products will be available for purchase beginning Friday, January 11th at 4PST.  For additional information, please visit their blog HERE.

Today, I'm sharing a preview of an adorable new stamp called Caffeinated Dino by The Rabbit Hole Designs.  All the "Caffeinated critters" in this collection just make me smile and I had such a blast playing with this stamp set.
Cute 'eh?  Each one of these Caffeinated critters sets comes with two fun sentiments, a large critter image as well as the caffeine molecule image...SO FUN!

When I started coloring this fun dino, all I could focus on was his/her slug-like eyes.  They made me go "UGGH" thinking that poor dino has gone without coffee for AGES!  Can you imagine?  Well, I can't either!  I decided to color up the dino using some spekledy coloring and gave her/his mug a little RaeDunnification.  ;)
I mean really, such a rough life-even her/his slippers are feeling the pain!  I added the caffeine molecule image in the background to just whisper to that dino that I get it, It's definitely time for some java...

To celebrate today's previews, The Rabbit Hole Designs is offering a SWEET prize to two lucky winners.  Each winner will be awarded their choice of one stamp set from The Rabbit Hole Designs collection.  Leave a comment by 11:59 PST on January 18 for your chance to win!  The lucky winners will be selected at random from the participating blogs so make sure to visit and comment at each stop!  Winners will be announced on The Rabbit Hole Designs BLOG and the Coffee Loving Cardmakers BLOG on 1-21-2019.

I'll be back again tomorrow as Coffee Loving Cardmakers hop along with The Rabbit Hole Designs so I hope you join us as we take a sweet adventure down the rabbit hole.  I can't wait to see what this new company has to offer.  I'm ready for some inky inspiration too!  See you tomorrow!!!

Coffee Loving Papercrafters meets Casual Fridays!

Hello there Coffee Loving Crafters!  Today I'm joining my fellow Coffee Loving Cardmakers DT and the designers from CAS-UAL FRIDAYS stamps for a collaboration hop!  I'm thrilled to share a few cards I created using the fun new sentiment set called Hot Coffee and the Coffee Cup Fri-Dies.

Make sure to leave comments on our blogs as you just might win one of three generous gift certificates from CAS-UAL Fridays Stamps worth $25 each!
To create my first card, I started out by applying a variety of colors of splashes (lavender, two greens, orange) to mix the perfect coffee tone and placed that on my Gelli Plate.  After I lifted the print, I made a second print to use for my diecuts.

Next, I flicked some colorful ink onto the background panel and used a leftover sparkly oval as an embellishing layer onto the side of the panel.  Then, I tied some ribbon, added the cup/sentiment and finished the card off with some pretty bling and real coffee beans.
The insert of the coffee cup was painted and attached a little low so that the brown coffee would be set apart from the cup.

My next card...
It's a little lady incognito...  All spiffed up for Halloween!
She's sparkly, frilly and oh-so-fabulous, don'tcha think?!  I paired up the fun die with some machine stitched and ruffled ribbon, and some doodly facial features.

To finish off her fabulocity, I added some doodly sentiments and a little fun with Nuvo drops.  She sure does like Big Cups...Yep, I do too.  :)

Now, on with the show!

If you arrived here from Amy's blog, you're hopping along quite nicely.  If not, just continue along from here until you make full circle.  If you want to start at the beginning, click HERE or please see the blogroll at the bottom of my post.
Yes, I'm sharing something quite different than the norm for me.  I can say that this collection of cards was created using ONLY digital images! I created the collage on my computer using the awesome graphics from the Notes and Dates digital set from Hero Arts and the Iced Coffee from A2Z's exclusive brand new Hug in a Mug digi set.  Can you believe it?  I used NO stamps!  HA HA.
I wanted to create a mix of colors for this collection of cards (I made a set of 24 cards- six of each color) so I used my computer to change the color of the calendar wheel image.  After layering the images to suit my liking, I printed them up on white cardstock.  I then cut the images down to card size and mounted them with glue onto some premade kraft card bases I got from the Target Dollar Spot last year.  After that, I felt a bit guilty for not stamping.
...so I decided to pull out my Copics and coordinate the color of each mug with the color of the calendar wheel.  I also took the opportunity to color that little heart on the banner and added some "coffee" ice to the cup.  I created pastel pink, orange, green and blue cards.
These cards are going to make fun little notes for random hellos!
I think I love the blue the most but since I did this digitally, I now have the collage on my computer and can go in and tweak the colors in the future!  WOOP WOOP!
Wrapping them up all pretty was the finishing touch!  This would make a fun little giftie too, right?!

Thanks A2Z for this fun collaboration.  I enjoyed taking the leap into the digi world again and appreciate the opportunity to play with your new exclusive set!

Thanks for hopping along with us!  I hope our creations inspire you to have another cuppa joe, get inky and/or digital and play!  Please hop over to my DT partner Helen's blog for the next leg of the hop!
