Graciellie Design meets WOW! Embossing Powders and Glitters!!!

Hello there inky friends!  Today, I'm joining some of my fellow Graciellie Design team members as well as the designers for WOW! Embossing Powders in a fun Instagram collaboration hop!  Join us for inspiration and card ideas featuring Graciellie Design digital stamps and WOW! Embossing powders and glitters.  Make sure to check out all the inspiration and leave some love along the way.  You may win a $75 prize!

I've included the list of all the IG participants at the bottom of my post.  Please use it to help you navigate the hop.

My first card features the beautiful vintage roses from the "Hey Beautiful" set.  I paired the images with a fun dotty/glittery/pearlescent embossed background.  (To create the dots, just simply apply fine glue dots to your cardstock and emboss over that).
I selected three colors of WOW! powder to create my design.

While the Mint Macaroon Embossing Powder allowed for a pearlescent and smooth dotty effect, the Oceanic Embossing Powder allowed for a deep matte finish.  To add a pop of sparkle, I selected the Crushed Ice Sparkles which really helped carry the dotty movement of my design into the next level.  This trio of powders was a dream to work with!!
My next card features the brand new digi set called:  "Coffee is Life". Of course I HAD to create with the newest coffee themed set, right?!  HA HA.

I selected a deep coral cardstock for my base and then brushed some gold medium over the paper.  While wet, I sprinkled three powders onto my panel to crate this fun brushstroke background.

The pearlescent sheen of the Metalline Himalayan Musk is just so gorgeous.  You'll see that sheen more closely in the picture at the end.  I also added two very sparkly glitters "Truffle Sparkles" and "Oh Dorothy! Sparkles".  The Truffle sparkle added a richness that worked beautifully with the colors of the digital image.  And that Oh Dorothy!, well, it added the pop of red that I wanted to pull out of the coffee bean fruits.
After working with the background, I colored the coffee flower/berry/pods using Copics and then fussy cut.  After that, I attached the sentiment banner (my preferred sentiment treatment) and added some taupe satin ribbon.  YUM!
Adding just a few strips of golden cardstock helped tie in the sparkle of the background and lift some of the gold medium through.  Just the delish layers upon layers of yummy goodness is what I was after.
Just look at that metallic/pearlescent sheen...and that sparkle.  YUM!
Thanks so much for hopping over to check out my cards.  Please make sure to hop over to my fellow crafty peeps blogs/FB pages and IG pages to check out their work!  Also, check out all that Gracielle Design and WOW! embossing powders has to offer.  You're going to LOVE it!

Little Acres and Coffee Loving Cardmakers...Mousie Match!

Hello there coffee loving cardmakers!  I'm thrilled to be joining my teamies on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog and the Designers at Little Acres Creations for a fun collaboration featuring LAC's adorable new set called "Cafe Dreamers".  This little mousie set is just the cutest and I am so excited to see what everyone has created with it!

Little Acres Designs has graciously contributed two $10 gift certificates for two lucky commenters.  Just make sure to comment on each blog post in the hop by Friday, April 20th!  A winner will be announced on their blog as well as the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog on Monday, April 23.
If you've arrived here from Amy's blog, you're off to a great start!  If you're beginning your journey here, don't worry...I've included the complete blogroll at the bottom of my post.
I decided to create a card every mouse would love.  My inspiration was the sentiment...It had me thinking of that little mouse on her coffee (or tea) cup and what she would be dreaming of...Yes...CHEESE, CHEESE, and more CHEESE!  Soooo...I got out my pencil and started drawing some cheese.  After penciling in my cheese lines, I grabbed my Leisure Arts Colored Pencils and my Leisure Arts Watercolor Pencils and got to work!
I started out by coloring that adorable little mouse and coffee/teacup with the watercolor pencils.  After watercoloring, I ran over the image with the colored pencils to give more dimension to some areas.  I set that aside and started coloring the cheese...Oh fun!
Isn't she cute?!  After coloring her up, I set her aside and marked up the pencil lines with my Staedtler .01 pigment pen and started coloring the cheese with the colored pencils.  After I was satisfied with the color, I fussy cut the cheese and mounted it onto a white card panel.  I used my Misti to position the sentiment perfectly on the panel then gave it two presses of ink.  After that, I just popped the mouse/cup image up onto the cheesy panel with some foam squares.  NO RIBBON.  GASP!
Such a fun, fun set!  I loved working with this set so much!  I can't wait to play with the mouse on the upside down cup next!

Did you know that Little Acres is celebrating their birthday?  If not, they're having a BIG BIG HOO-RAH and you are invited.  Check out all the deets on their blog and social media outlets!
Thanks so much Little Acres for the opportunity to play with your adorable mousie set!  I just LOVE it!  Thanks visitors for stopping by to see my creation, I hope you were inspired!  Please hop on over to Helen's blog for the next stop on the hop!

Exciting News!

Hello there stamping friends!  I'm popping over here on my "all-stamps-are-fabulous" blog to share some exciting news with you!  I was invited to be a part of the Coffee Loving Papercrafters Design Team and I'm so thrilled to be a part of such a talented group of designers.  Have you been following the new Design team announcements on the COFFEE LOVING CARDMAKERS blog?  If so, you can probably see why I'm so excited to be joining such an amazing team.

There are a few more to announce too but you'll have to wait a bit.

WOWSERS 'eh?  I'm so honored to have been asked to join such a talented group of cardmakers and designers.

So to share in my excitement, I brewed up a pot of extra-strong coffee, added some Italian Sweet Cream and headed to my stamp room to create a deelish card...With a stamp set I received from the most recent Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog hop!

Melissa, owner of A Creative Journey with Melissa sent me this TASTY set of stamps to play with as winnings in the recent blog hop.  Don't you just LOVE the variety of cups and sentiments in this set "Coffee Is My Liquid Therapy" ???  The hearts, beans and smiley are a perfect little add-ons too!  LOVE this set.  They ink PERFECTLY too!!!
I started off by stamping the cup using Colorbox Chalk Charcoal ink.  I love this ink when I stamp with clear photopolymer stamps because it allows for a crisp and bleed-free image.  After stamping, I colored the image using an overlapping brushstroke pattern using my Copic markers.  You will find them listed in the photo below.  When done coloring, I added a few dots here and there to give some contrast and fussy cut the image.
I decided I wanted the cup to be the primary focus of the card so I accentuated it with a watercolor background (a wash of Shimmer Gold Splash and Watermelon Color Splash) on Canson Watercolor paper that allowed the cup to just float along in a sea of bliss...  I embossed a few hearts using FSJ Clear Pigment ink and Journey Gold Embossing Powder.  I also added a few splatters of Gold Silk
To help "contain" the cup, I attached a bit of Natural Thread to the handle and positioned it to the far left -almost off the page with a little foam dot.  I added a tiny pearl (colored with gold silk) to the bow of the thread.  After embossing and assembling the panel, I punched a circular punch and stamped the sentiment -popped it up on the panel and attached the panel onto graph paper and then onto some Oatmeal Cookie cardstock.  A simple white card base finished it off.
I used the following Copic colors on my cup:
Thanks for popping in today to share in my excitement.  I'm also sharing another coffee-loving card on my Fun Stampers Journey Blog, so if you're interested in an extra shot of java today...head over THERE!
