National Craft Month FUN!

Hey there stamping friends!  It's Kerry here and I've got a sweet little layered Easter card to share with you today.  I'm joining the fun this month for National Craft Month and you know, I've just gotta get my craft on!  Soooo...Today, I'm sharing a crafty layered card inspired by the challenge "LAYERS" on the Right at Home blog.  This theme was right up my alley as you probably know me and my creations include layers and layers and layers.  I love layers!

Since I only have one collection of stamps from Right at Home, I had to dig into my stash of stamps to find something festive and fun!  I just got this plaid paper pack from Lawn Fawn and knew this print would pair nicely with the scalloped card base.  Next, I dug deep to find a fun little bunny to go with the pastels.  I found it in the cute little HELLO SPRING stamp set by A Creative Journey with Melissa.  To color the bunny and carrot, I LAYERED Copic Coloring with colored pencils to create just the perfect touch of color.

Yes, I love to color so this was fun creating with both medium.  After coloring, I fussy cut the images and mounted them onto the card panel (and the oval diecut). I stamped the little eggs onto the plaid paper and added a bit of sparkle too.
Of course, I just HAD to add a bit of machine stitching on the card layers too!

Sooo...What are YOU doing to celebrate National Craft month?  Come play along and have some crafty fun!  Join the #NCMwithRAH challenge!  Check out their blog every day for new inspiration and fun!  I'll try to play along as much as I can and can't wait to see what everyone shares!   I know it will be quite inspirational!

See you soon and thanks for popping by!

Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

Woo hoo!  Today is the start of the Winter Coffee Lovers Hop and I'm all prepped and ready!  I'll be posting cards and projects all week long so make sure to stop by every day!  I'm excited to be a SUPER SPONSOR again this season on my other Fun Stampers Journey Blog so make sure to visit there too!  I'll be awarding one lucky participant a $25.00 gift certificate to shop my store!  WOO!

My projects are set to post each day and each one is a special holiday gift for someone.  I have created a variety of projects and I had so much fun playing, planning and creating some fun treats to share.   This first project is a special card for a very special inky friend.  I thought about her favorite colors, her favorite themes and even gulped down a cup of yummy coffee so I could incorporate the little sleeve in the design.  This card will accompany a very special coffee-loving gift.
I used two stamp sets for this card.  my first choice was the new Bossy Joscie clear set called Christian Greetings.  I love this set because of the perfectly perfect sentiments and the yummy font.  I also love that it has a pretty floral image in the set that can be combined for a summer/spring...and WINTER card.  Yep, it's a winter rose.  ;)

My second stamp set is from A Creative Journey With Melissa.  I love her collection of coffee themed stamp sets and "Coffee, Tea and Wine, OH MY!" works perfectly with the floral image and the scripty sentiment I used.

ColorBox Chalk Charcoal Ink was used on the sentiment and I inked the flower with Ranger Distress Pine Needles.  I watercolored a bit of Vintage Photo and painted a bit of shine with some Gold Silk from FSJ.

I hope you enjoyed this creation today and I'm off to check out all the fun and fab creations already posted!  Happy Hopping and see you tomorrow!  :)

The Fall Coffee Lovers Hop starts TODAY!

Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop
September 23-September 30
Theme:  Fall Coffee, Tea, or cocoa project
National Coffee Day:  September 29
#fall2016clh

I'm excited to join the Coffee Loving Design Team in welcoming you to the Fall Coffee Lovers Hop! I'm sure this hop will break records for participation and for awesomeness...just as in hops of the past!  Just you wait, will we hit over 800 link-ups???

Let's take a peek at my first fun creation for the hop.  I'm sure you'll GASP because I created something CAS!!!  Yeah, you read that right!  I about patted myself on the back for this one!  I have very little restraint when it comes to cardmaking and I love adding layer upon layer of yummy goodness to my cards but something weird came over me.  Maybe it's my cold, or my aching back...I don't know...all I know is I was victorious in creating the elusive CAS card!  Snaps for me!!!

So wanna see what I'm talking about?  Hold on to your seat...Don't faint!
Really, I earn a GOLD Star right?  WOOO HOO!!!

So to create this fabulous, once in a lifetime CAS card, I washed a bit of Ranger Walnut Stain ink onto some watercolor paper, splattered some Ranger Peeled Paint ink and some Walnut Stain ink onto the dry watercolored paper, then splattered a tiny bit of Orange Rave Silk onto that.  I selected the fun mug image and sentiments from one of our Super Sponsors:   "Coffee is my Liquid Therapy" by A Creative Journey with Melissa.  I stamped the sentiment words all over the mug using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, Hazelnut Blend ink and the heart was stamped with Cranberry Bliss ink.  I stamped the "Hello Friend" sentiment onto a hand doodled thought bubble. The images were cut out and some twine was added.  The little wooden heart button was the finishing touch!
Just look at that yummy splatter!  I just LURRRVE it!!!  Perfect fall colors, dontcha think?!
This little inked panel was mounted to a Kraft Cardstock panel and mounted onto an Olive Green Card Base.

Hope you enjoyed this little number!  If you LOVE the stamp set as much as I do, head on over to Melissa's store!  Make sure to enter the special discount code FCLH2016 to receive an extra 25% off your entire order (offer good until 10/3)

Exciting News!

Hello there stamping friends!  I'm popping over here on my "all-stamps-are-fabulous" blog to share some exciting news with you!  I was invited to be a part of the Coffee Loving Papercrafters Design Team and I'm so thrilled to be a part of such a talented group of designers.  Have you been following the new Design team announcements on the COFFEE LOVING CARDMAKERS blog?  If so, you can probably see why I'm so excited to be joining such an amazing team.

There are a few more to announce too but you'll have to wait a bit.

WOWSERS 'eh?  I'm so honored to have been asked to join such a talented group of cardmakers and designers.

So to share in my excitement, I brewed up a pot of extra-strong coffee, added some Italian Sweet Cream and headed to my stamp room to create a deelish card...With a stamp set I received from the most recent Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog hop!

Melissa, owner of A Creative Journey with Melissa sent me this TASTY set of stamps to play with as winnings in the recent blog hop.  Don't you just LOVE the variety of cups and sentiments in this set "Coffee Is My Liquid Therapy" ???  The hearts, beans and smiley are a perfect little add-ons too!  LOVE this set.  They ink PERFECTLY too!!!
I started off by stamping the cup using Colorbox Chalk Charcoal ink.  I love this ink when I stamp with clear photopolymer stamps because it allows for a crisp and bleed-free image.  After stamping, I colored the image using an overlapping brushstroke pattern using my Copic markers.  You will find them listed in the photo below.  When done coloring, I added a few dots here and there to give some contrast and fussy cut the image.
I decided I wanted the cup to be the primary focus of the card so I accentuated it with a watercolor background (a wash of Shimmer Gold Splash and Watermelon Color Splash) on Canson Watercolor paper that allowed the cup to just float along in a sea of bliss...  I embossed a few hearts using FSJ Clear Pigment ink and Journey Gold Embossing Powder.  I also added a few splatters of Gold Silk
To help "contain" the cup, I attached a bit of Natural Thread to the handle and positioned it to the far left -almost off the page with a little foam dot.  I added a tiny pearl (colored with gold silk) to the bow of the thread.  After embossing and assembling the panel, I punched a circular punch and stamped the sentiment -popped it up on the panel and attached the panel onto graph paper and then onto some Oatmeal Cookie cardstock.  A simple white card base finished it off.
I used the following Copic colors on my cup:
Thanks for popping in today to share in my excitement.  I'm also sharing another coffee-loving card on my Fun Stampers Journey Blog, so if you're interested in an extra shot of java today...head over THERE!
