TCP Tuesday #372 REMINDER: Animals

Hello there inky friends!  It's REMINDER DAY at The Cat's Pajama's Blog!  We're reminding YOU that it's not too late to play along in our current TCP Tuesday!  Just make sure to add an ANIMAL CARD creation to our inlinkz post on the original blog post HERE and you'll be in the running for a sweeeet prize!

For my reminder card, I pulled out the adorable set "Travelin' Man!".  I altered the car image a bit by snipping off the packages and heavy load that was on top of the car.  After coloring with Copics and fussy cutting that little bugger, I colored some strips of paper using a rainbow of Copic colors.  I assembled these strips together in a fan-like design ROYGBIV style and glued it to a white panel.  I then mounted that onto black cardstock to frame the scene, added some doodly clouds and added a bit of a Copic road.

To finish things off, I added some gray button wheels and mounted the design on a white card base.  I also stamped the sentiment "Life:  Paved with success and a bit of Road Construction along the way" as I thought the sentiment was perfectly suited for the times we are having lately.
Thanks for hopping over to check out my card!  I hope it inspires you to get out a fun critter stamp set and play along!  Remember, you do not have to use TCP stamps in your entry, so get stampin'!  See you again next time!

Sneaky Peek Day 5: It's Magic!

Hello there inky friends!  I'm back with another SNEAKY PEEK!  Today The Cat's Pajamas is sneakin' a peek at the adorable new addition to the bunny club!  This set is called "Get Your Sparkle On" and its such a fun and playful set.  I decided to keep it simple- and skinny...and added a bit of sparkle too!

All of the new sets/dies/etc will be available for purchase on April 6.  Are you making your list?

To create my card, I just stamped the bunny and the sentiment on a skinny half panel of white cardstock.  i then colored the image and added some embossing ink onto the paper in a nice sparkly trail from the magic wand.  I used microfine iridescent clear glitter and clear embossing powder to make the sparkly effect.

Now for the final image, I wanted to make this sparkle embossing powder show up and the only way I could do it was to make the lighting really funky!  I guess the magic will happen for the recipient!  They'll get to tip and twirl this card to make the sparkles just sparkle!

It's quite magical, I'd say!
Please hop. on over to the TCP Blog to check out the other fab magical creations.  Make sure to leave a little comment here and there as you'll have a chance to win the $10 gift from TCP!  See you tomorrow for sneaky peek #6!

Sneaky Peek #4: Follow the Bunny!

Hello there inky friends!  Today I'm joining my fellow TCP Cat Packers as we share another fun SNEAKY PEEK with you before the official release on Tuesday.  Today marks DAY 4 of our sneaks and it includes an adorable Easter/Spring set called:  "Follow The Bunny!". It includes several bunny, chick, egg and floral images as well as some fun sentiments.  I selected a few of my favorite images to create this adorable little treat container.  I made/designed the container using my Silhouette quite a while ago and had it in my stash just waiting for the right time to use it.  Unfortunately, I created this treat container on my old computer that went kaput so I can't access the file anymore.  I guess that means I'll have to design another.  Anyway, I used the little cut piece to create a little treat container.  Before folding and assembling, I stamped it with some easter eggs and the little chicks.

After stamping the container, I glued it together and filled it with green sparkly tissue paper.  Next, I colored the cute bunny and chicks using Copics and colored pencils.  After fussy cutting them, I decided I needed another "layer" on my container so I diecut some flowers using the fun flower die "Petal Posie CutUps"
After cutting out the diecuts, I tied the flower around the treat container using some white seam binding and then attached the images using foam squares.  I then stamped the sentiment on a piece of white cardstock and attached the sentiment to a bamboo stick.  Then I attached a few more of the flower dies.  I placed the sentiment stick into the treat container and proceeded to open a bag of chocolate...for photographing, yeah.  Just for the photo-op!  ;)
So that's that!  I created a cute little Easter treat container and sampled the chocolate just to make sure it was acceptable.  HA HA.

You can purchase the Follow the Bunny set OR the Follow the Bunny stamp/die bundle TODAY!

Thanks for hopping over to my blog today!  Make sure to hop back over to the TCP blog to see the full line-up of inspiration.  Make sure to leave some comments along the way for a chance to win a sweet TCP prize!

See you again tomorrow as we share another sneaky peek you'll just OOOHHH and AHHHHH over!

Now let me share a bit about my Christmas themed card!

I created this fun and festive card using the adorable bunny set called "Your Gift".  I started out by using an awesome new blending brush (COMING SOON TO THE SHOP) to add some light blue on a white card panel.  I also stamped some of the tiny stars onto the background so that I could color them and add a bit of sparkly bling.  I then stamped the bunny tree onto a piece of white cardstock and fussy cut the image before coloring with Copic markers.  After it was colored, I applied some white gel pen to add dimension and give a bit more texture.  I then started arranging the card design.
I thought a whisp of golden thread would add the fine ribbon treatment I needed for this card.  To finish things off, I added a few golden pearls and mounted this panel onto a piece of polkadotty paper (Pink and Main) and mounted this panel onto a green backing.  Next, I mounted the whole panel onto the card base and added the sweet sentiment.

Thanks for hopping over to check out my card.  I hope my teamies also inspire you to start filling your Christmas card stash box with some awesome new cards!

I selected a sweeeeet bunny image for my Summer project!  Kick Some Grass! is such a fun set!  I love the antics of this little bunny!  Bunny is ALWAYS into some mischief or human-like fun!  Here, Bunny is sitting in a patch of posies and has no fear of allergies! HA HA!

I chose to keep this image the focus of the card, not adding much embellishing or layering.
Thanks for hopping over today!  I hope my bunny project gets you inspired and I hope you consider joining the TCP Challenge this month!  :) .

Sneaky Peek...The Cat's Pajamas...Don't be Koi

Hello there inky friends!  Today I'm joining The Cat's Pajamas in a little sneaky peek using the most adorable new set called "Don't Be Koi".  I'm also sneaking another peek of a die set that'll release this month too...Watch for it soon.

This little guy is fishin' for LUUUUVVVVVE!  I love how he's all prepped and ready to head out and hook the big one!

I created a cute little gatefold card and paired the sweet images up with paper from the Echo Park Coffee 6x6 pad.  The images were colored with just a few Copic Colors.  A little taupe seam binding and a coordinating button and voila.  DONE!

Thanks for popping over today to take a sneaky peek.  I'll be back again soon with another fun peek!

National Craft Month FUN!

Hey there stamping friends!  It's Kerry here and I've got a sweet little layered Easter card to share with you today.  I'm joining the fun this month for National Craft Month and you know, I've just gotta get my craft on!  Soooo...Today, I'm sharing a crafty layered card inspired by the challenge "LAYERS" on the Right at Home blog.  This theme was right up my alley as you probably know me and my creations include layers and layers and layers.  I love layers!

Since I only have one collection of stamps from Right at Home, I had to dig into my stash of stamps to find something festive and fun!  I just got this plaid paper pack from Lawn Fawn and knew this print would pair nicely with the scalloped card base.  Next, I dug deep to find a fun little bunny to go with the pastels.  I found it in the cute little HELLO SPRING stamp set by A Creative Journey with Melissa.  To color the bunny and carrot, I LAYERED Copic Coloring with colored pencils to create just the perfect touch of color.

Yes, I love to color so this was fun creating with both medium.  After coloring, I fussy cut the images and mounted them onto the card panel (and the oval diecut). I stamped the little eggs onto the plaid paper and added a bit of sparkle too.
Of course, I just HAD to add a bit of machine stitching on the card layers too!

Sooo...What are YOU doing to celebrate National Craft month?  Come play along and have some crafty fun!  Join the #NCMwithRAH challenge!  Check out their blog every day for new inspiration and fun!  I'll try to play along as much as I can and can't wait to see what everyone shares!   I know it will be quite inspirational!

See you soon and thanks for popping by!

Do the Bunny Hop!

Hey there coffee friends!  Welcome back to my blog.  I hope you're having a grand time hopping along in the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  There are sooo many amazing creations posted thus far and we're definitely on track to smash last season's record!
I thought I'd share a little card I created using an image I drew and digitized.  This is one of my first images digitized myself so it's a bit pixelated and blurry due to the type of pen I originally drew with. Next time, I'll have a crisp/clean image, I hope!

In any case, it was fun to watercolor this image and mount it onto a card.   I'll be sending this card to my parents for Easter, as I know they won't be too picky on the image quality.  LOL

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you come back again tomorrow to see my next creation!  :)  Happy Hopping!
