TCP Tuesday #372 REMINDER: Animals

Hello there inky friends!  It's REMINDER DAY at The Cat's Pajama's Blog!  We're reminding YOU that it's not too late to play along in our current TCP Tuesday!  Just make sure to add an ANIMAL CARD creation to our inlinkz post on the original blog post HERE and you'll be in the running for a sweeeet prize!

For my reminder card, I pulled out the adorable set "Travelin' Man!".  I altered the car image a bit by snipping off the packages and heavy load that was on top of the car.  After coloring with Copics and fussy cutting that little bugger, I colored some strips of paper using a rainbow of Copic colors.  I assembled these strips together in a fan-like design ROYGBIV style and glued it to a white panel.  I then mounted that onto black cardstock to frame the scene, added some doodly clouds and added a bit of a Copic road.

To finish things off, I added some gray button wheels and mounted the design on a white card base.  I also stamped the sentiment "Life:  Paved with success and a bit of Road Construction along the way" as I thought the sentiment was perfectly suited for the times we are having lately.
Thanks for hopping over to check out my card!  I hope it inspires you to get out a fun critter stamp set and play along!  Remember, you do not have to use TCP stamps in your entry, so get stampin'!  See you again next time!

SNOW DAY! Gnome for the Holidays

Hello there inky friends!  I'm excited to be sharing my first SNOW DAY CARD today!  WAHOO!!!  While it sleets and rains outside (and ice piles up all over), I'm toasty warm inside sipping my coffee, cleaning, making soup and...creating a few crafty cards.  Yes, I'm also still in my jammies! WAHOO!  I love days like this!

I created this card that features the most adorable gnome set from TCP called Gnome For the Holidays.  I inked up the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored them with Copics.  I also did a little dotty-doo on the base panel and spritzed it with some Snow Shimmerz Spray to give it some shimmery shine.  I added some Pearl Nuvo Drops and some no-hole sequins to add to the layering.

Taking a little liberty with the images,  I doodled up a string of lights on the tree as well as a nice pile of snow for them to play on finished off this fun and playful card.  I used a Staedtler .01 Black pigment ink for my doodle marks.
A few dots of the white Gelli Roll Pen helped give their snowy outfits just the adorable vibe it needed.
Fussy cutting these images is quite relaxing and I love to pop them up to let the lighting and shadows just play off of the page.  :)

Happy Snow Day!

Sunday Sip...I guess I'll just have to make my own!

Hey there coffee loving friends!  It's Kerry here and I'm back with another fun Sunday Sip.  Today I'm sharing a fun little RECIPE for you....HA HA...
Take some Coffee Liqueur (I'm using Coffee Liqueur from a Virginia Distillery called Vitae Spirits) and pour some (I don't measure) into a coffee cup or a stemless wine glass (even better- a handmade ceramic wine tumbler like mine from TMDCeramics).

Fill the rest of your cup up with Dr. Pepper...Seriously, Dr. Pepper...
Enjoy!

Now back to cardmaking....  Does anyone have a wine tumbler stamp?  I need one... Like NOW... So I guess I need to draw one up real quick...
So, yeah, I doodled up a tumbler like the one I was drinking from and of course I added some coffee beans for good measure.  I threw in a fun new candy corn treat for you too.  After all, this IS TREAT WEEK!

Now, I had to find the perfect stamp and sentiment pairing for my tumbler so I dug around in my stash and found the perfect fit in the Hero Arts set called Peace and Joy.  Ahhhhh....Coffee IS definitely PEACE AND JOY!  :)

Creating a pretty simple layout was important...I think it turned out well...

Since it's TREAT WEEK, I thought I'd share a little treat with you.  If you want to play with my tumblers, feel free...Just save the image below and you'll be able to print it out lickety split! Mwah! On Monday, I'll also attach the PDF along the sidebar...for easy pickins...
Hope you enjoy.  If you feel so inclined, please use it in coordination with my sketch challenge!  I'd LOVE to see your play on my sketch...and doodle-dee-doo!  Please make sure to add your projects to our inlinkz below so we can OOH and AHHH over them!  Happy Halloween!
