Take Note little Leprechauns...It's GOLDEN!

Hello there inky friends!  Today I thought I'd pop in and share a little project I created for me!  As a Kindergarten teacher, I'm constantly using sticky notes.  I have sticky notes everywhere!  I decided to create a little sticky-note free reminder notebook that I can keep tucked in my pocket (with a Sharpie).  The good thing about this notebook is that it is erasable, isn't bulky and eliminates the need for stickie-notes!  WOO!

To create my cute little "March" notebook, I used The Cat's Pajamas brand new March digital files here:
Leprechaun and Pot of Gold $2.49 USD

Irish Coffee Digi Set $2.49 USD

Sitting Shamrock Gnome Digi Set $2.49 USD

Half Rainbow Digi Stamp $1.99 USD

I started off by creating a background "Paper" image using MS Word.  I then overlaid the images and sentiment I wanted to create the cover and inside page designs.  After that, I printed the panels on white cardstock and colored them with my Copic markers.  Next, I laminated the panels using my cheap old Scotch laminator and cut them to size.  I cut the corners round so that they wouldn't be "pokey".  HEE HEE.  After that, I used my coil binding machine to cut the holes and bind the pages together.

The great thing about using a Sharpie on laminated paper is that you can erase the ink with hand sanitizer...and these days, hand sanitizer is All OVER MY CLASSROOM!  SO...easy, peasy, lemon squeezy!

I just love using digis to create my fun projects for my classroom too.  I'll be making more of these little pads for sure.  Thanks for hopping over to check out my project!

You can get these files at 20% off all month long!  Hop over to the shop and scoop them up!

Sneaky Peek Day 5: Puppy Love...

Hey there inky friends!  It's Day 5 of Sneaky Peek Week at The Cat's Pajamas and we're sharing inspiration today from the adorable little Boston Puppy set called "Live, Love, Bark".  How have you been enjoying the inspiration thus far this week?  Do you have a favorite set yet?  How about those adorable little critter dies yesterday (sorry I wasn't sneaking a peek...my project is being held for New Release Day...as it didn't quite fit with my Valentine's Day theme)...Sooo...I'm in LOVE with this little pooch so I decided to create a little valentine mail with him.

I paired up the sweet Live, Love, Bark bundle with the fun Nested Hearts Die and a real standard sized envelope to help bring this sweet love Valentine life.  I also added a few bits of scraps from previous projects (love using my stash) and a little ribbon on my table.

Notice that brown sentiment?  It's a scrap of a toilet paper roll!  I have a few thin rings cut and sitting on my scrap table from Christmas crafting extravaganzas (I saw this cute little yarn stocking cap ornament that was made with it and I wanted to make some...but I got as far as cutting the toilet paper rolls.) I didn't make those ornaments so I think I'll make some Valentine ones and put them on my tree.  Yes, I still have my Christmas trees up and plan on turning them into LOVE trees.  HA HA.

Anyway, I finished this little Valentine off by attaching some red/white striped washi on the edge.  I think it reminds me of air-mail so I thought it worked well.  Thanks for hopping over to my blog.  I hope my card inspires you to create something SWEET with this set!!!  :). Remember, make sure to leave some love on all my fellow teamie's blogs for a chance to win a TCP prize!  See you again tomorrow for more Valentine inspiration!

The Cat's Pajamas Sneaky Peek Week Day 1: Yeti To Party!

Hello there inky friends!  Today is the day we've all been waiting for!  This is the first day of The Cat's Pajama's SNEAKY PEEK WEEK!!!  There are SO many adorable sets in this new release and I'm excited to help share the sneaks ALL WEEK!

Our first sneak is an adorable and LOVABLE monster BUNDLE called "YETI TO PARTY!".  It's a fun little set perfect for friendship and LOVE!  Check out the dies too!   I just love all the little monsters in this set but I decided to create a card featuring the luvvvvvable monster!  Isn't he CUUUUTE?!

I created my card by starting out with a fun Gel Press background.  I used blue, red and yellow acrylic paint on my Gel Press and blended it with a foam dauber.  I then applied some sewing machine thread over the inked plate to create swirly fun design.  Next, I pressed my white cardstock over it and lifted the paper to reveal the fun background.  To finish the background off, I doodled and dotted the paper, splattered some ink on the panel and set it aside to dry.
I colored my monster to match my background paper.  I pulled some Copic markers and went to town coloring the monster and the balloons then added some colored pencil to give some added shading.  After I was satisfied with the coloring, I fussy cut the images and started working on assembling the cardfront.
Since I had some ripped book paper from a previous project on my desk, I decided to add that to my card.  I love the contrast of patterns this paper provides on my design.  I then stamped the sentiment and doodled a fun edge before cutting and mounting on the page.

Just look at that fun color!  I just love how this card turned out!!!  Thanks for hopping over to check out my card and I hope you stop by again tomorrow for more fun sneaky inspiration!

Remember,  Leave a comment on each of the blogs sharing sneaks and you could win a special sneaky-peek prize from TCP!

See you tomorrow!

New Release Hop! The Cat's Pajamas

Hello there inky friends!  I hope you've been enjoying the inspiration shared for the September Release!  I know there are so many sweet images and dies that have hopped right into your hearts...and hopefully, your carts!  Well, today, we're closing out the release shares with our September New Release Hop and I know you're going to love what everyone is sharing today!  If you're hopping here from Brenda's blog, you're hopping right along.  If not, you can find the complete hop listing at the bottom of my post.

I chose to highlight the fun Stitched Tree Duo die and the adorable character/sentiments from the Simply Blessed set.  I also used the cloud slimline die from the Slimline Suburbs die set to create some stenciled background clouds on the blue paper.  I just made sure to use some white ink and blended over the stencil several times to create the cloud effect.

I colored my images with Copic Markers and added some black curls on the boy so that his yummy hair peeked out more from the cap.
I made sure to mount the stitched rectangle around the framed tree so that it would highlight the scene.  :)

Thanks so much for hopping over.  I hope you've enjoyed seeing all my creations for this hop!  Please hop on over to my teamie Deborah's page so you can check out her project!  Thanks!

Sneaky Peek Week: Day 7: Bears!!!

Hello there inky friends!  It's Sneaky Peek Day 7 and I'm sharing this adorable little baby card featuring the cutest little Stitched Bear Die ever!  I diecut him from white cardstock and then colored him with Copic markers.

I paired this cute image up with the fun new Cloud Slimline die from the Slimline Suburbs die set.  I created a little card that I could place the bear on and then mounted that little card onto the printed paper panel.  I also used the curved stitched line die from the Slimline Basics Die to create the bottom border of the blue paper.

My pattern paper collection is from an old 6x6 pad from My Minds Eye.  I have TONS of old patterned paper that I've hoarded over the years and I'm enjoying rediscovering these beautiful prints!

To keep the tiny card closed, I secured it with some color coordinated hem tape and tied it off with a button and some twine.  To finish things off, I attached some pearls and cut the corners of the panel using a corner rounder.  I then mounted this panel onto a white card base (that I corner rounded too).

Thanks so much for stopping over to check out my card.  I hop it inspires you to create something adorable!  See you again tomorrow for RELEASE DAY!!!

Sneaky Peek Week Day 6: HOO HOO

Hello there inky friends!  It's Day 6 of The Cat's Pajamas Sneaky Peek Week and today we're sharing inspiration with some adorable dies and stencils.  Check out this cute, cute, cute Stitched Owl die and the fun Clock Stencilz.  I created a fun little Halloween card featuring these products as well as the fun LONG Fence die from the Slimline Suburbs die set.

I pulled some old fun Halloween patterned paper from my stash and inked up the stencil with white ink and a blending brush.  I then fussy cut the "moon" and the funky owl from the same paper pack and attached it over the paper.  Next, I diecut the owl twice and colored the nose and toes with yellow/orange Copic before attaching all the parts together.  I also gave him a pair of glasses (that's his costume!).
Next, I diecut the fence and then attached some ribbon before attaching everything to the card base.
Thanks for hopping over!  Make sure to check out all the inspiration for today's dies/stencils and stop back again tomorrow for another sneak peek.  See you soon!

The Cat's Pajamas Sneaky Peek Week Day 4: The World Is Yours!

Hello there inky friends!  Today I'm joining my fellow Cat Packers as we share inspiration for the new September release:  "The World Is Yours"!  This adorable sketchy image of a fox is just too cute for words and I had so much fun imagining what this little fella and his peep friend were sitting and pondering.

This adorable set contains a sweet image, three tiny falling leaves and three sentiments that are perfect for inspiration, encouragement and to welcome fall!  I love it!  I created my card pretty simply- so that I could focus totally on that adorable image.

I added Copics and watercolor pencils to my little fox and peep and then added more watercolor pencil for the sky.  It's pretty soft and subtle so that the little critters take center stage.

Thanks so much for checking out my card and please make sure to hop over to my fellow teamie's pages or the TCP BLOG HERE to check out all the remaining inspiration!  I know this set is going to be one you will treasure for years!

The Cat's Pajamas Sneaky Peek Week: Alice...

Hello again my inky friends!  Today I'm joining my fellow Cat Pack teamies as we share another sneaky peek for the September lauch of stamps/dies from The Cat's Pajamas.  This sneak is all about the fun set "Alice".  You know who she is!

I decided to go a different direction with this set because I'm not that into the story.  I know, GASP!  Well, there are a few stories that just don't get me...but I love the stamp sets nonetheless.  I particularly love the poison bottle!!!  SOOOO...I created a fun little Halloween card featuring this image.  I also included. peek-peek of a new stencil that is debuting this month too.

Of course, when making my card, another FUN die popped into my mind.  I needed a spider web and I found it in the Halloween Tag Duo die.  I stenciled the background and popped it up against some neon green cardstock.  I then added the cute poison bottles...I also clear embossed the stencil on the black background paper so it has a yummy shine!

Adding the little bat onto the card was the finishing touch before attaching it to the card base!  So fun!  Thanks for hopping over and see you again tomorrow for another sneaky peek!

The Cat's Pajamas Sneaky Peek Week Day 2: Follow Your Arrow

Hello there inky friends!  I'm back with another sneaky peek!  Today at The Cat's Pajamas, we're sharing some fun sneaks of the adorable new fall set "Follow Your Arrow"!  This is such a sweet set that includes woodland critters, a teepee and some forest elements to help build a fun scene.  The sentiments are inspiring and encouraging...PERFECT for these images!

I created this cute card by starting out with a watercolor sky background.  I used my Tombow aqua blue marker on a plastic sheet and added some water.  I then placed my paper over that to let the marker pool all over the paper.  After drying, I mounted it onto a piece of cardstock to make it more sturdy and then stamped and colored the whimsical deer.  After using a green Copic to add osme grass, I stamped the grass stamp onto that with black ink.  I then added some Lawn Fawn (kinda punny I picked that paper!) plaid paper to the bottom and tied some green ribbon across that.  I mounted this panel onto a light aqua card base and attached the deer, and a sentment "doodled cloud" to finish things off!

Thanks so much for hopping over to check out my sneak today.  Make sure to stop back tomorrow for another fun sneak!
