Coffee Lovers Spring/Summer Blog Hop Day 3, Part Deux!

Hey there coffee loving crafters!  It's Kerry here and I'm back with another fun project for the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  This time, I'm featuring FUN IN THE SUN with COCONUT CONCOCTIONS and FRESH SQUEEZED LEMONADE and SUN TEA!!  Thanks to Super Sponsor RG Avenue for supporting the hop and I hope you enjoy this fun and festive card!
This fun in the sun card was creating using a ton of summer sun images in the "Summer Vibes" set.  I also used the fun "Bold Burst "die to create the sun rays in the background. I also created a fun coordinating tag to attach to a summer fun gift bucket.  This will be a great gift for a special person in my family, I think!
Isn't it fun?  I just LOVE all the fun Summer images in this set!!!  This time on the tag, I incorporated a few glasses of Sun Tea,  fun red/white/blue ice pop, a slice of ripe and juicy watermelon, a fresh strawberry, some lemons to add to the sun tea!  No sugar please!
And oh yeah...It's just so shiny and sparkly!  Dontcha just want to take a bite/sip?!  Yummy!
To create my card I started out by diecutting the Bold Burst die onto some bright yellow cardstock and then, using the diecut negative as a stencil, I glued down the pieces to a white cardstock panel to create the rays.  I flicked some white acrylic paint onto the panel and let it dry for a fun water kissed effect.
After that, I machine stitched around this panel and then started coloring all the fun summertime images with Copic markers.  After coloring, I fussy cut them and applied some foam squares.  I attached the white panel to a blue card base that matched some of my colors and then mounted all the fun little images.
Dontcha just love that lemonade?  It has some cute little cherries hanging from the side.  Also...Gotta love the blue Hawaiian in the coconut!  NOM NOM!  To finish everything off, I added some glaze and then sprinkled some microfine glitter before flicking some Dazzling Pat onto the card to make it shimmer and shine.  That's it!  FUN IN THE SUN!

Thanks for hopping over to check out my card.  RG Avenue is having a quick sale this long weekend so now's the time to pick up this fun set...remember...When you purchase ANY RG Avenue stamp sets, you receive the digital version FREE!

Rainbows...Winner, Winner Chicken Dinner!

Hey there inky friends!  Today I'm sharing a little card I made using some FUN FUN FUN products I won from Pink and Main!  Last month, I took a chance on Stamp Junkies (FB Group) and commented for a chance to win the May release from Pink and Main.  I loved all the goodies in this release from the rainbows to the babies to the flowers...flowers and more flowers!  Stamps, Dies, Papers...OH MY!  Sooo, I joined the masses and commented "my favorite flower" and moved along to being inspired by so many other beautiful cards in the feed.

As time passed, I carried on with my cardmaking (and posting) adventures and stamped, stamped, stamped away.  When the winner was announced, I had no idea it was me.  One of my crafty friends tagged me in excitement and I jumped for joy when I found out I was the BIG WINNER!  Can you believe it?  REALLY!!!

Now that I am on summer vacation, I have some extra time to play and create so I decided today that I would dig into that pink bag full of goodies!  My first card was created using the following stamps, dies and papers:

Stamps:Bright Side

After stamping the images using my Misti for precise stamped images, I cut them out and colored them with Copic markers.  Next, I stitched a white panel onto the polkadot paper with my sewing machine so that I could stamp the sweet sentiment.  I tied some sunshine yellow Hemptique twine around the white strip and then assembled the rainbow layer.  To finish off my card, I mounted the panel onto a white card base and added some glossy accents/microfine glitter to the sun.

Such a fun and happy card dontcha think?!  Thank you SOOO much Pink and Main for this absolutely generous and sweet gift.  I'm planning on spending my summer break playing with these new goodles and can't wait to share more projects soon!  :) .

I selected a sweeeeet bunny image for my Summer project!  Kick Some Grass! is such a fun set!  I love the antics of this little bunny!  Bunny is ALWAYS into some mischief or human-like fun!  Here, Bunny is sitting in a patch of posies and has no fear of allergies! HA HA!

I chose to keep this image the focus of the card, not adding much embellishing or layering.
Thanks for hopping over today!  I hope my bunny project gets you inspired and I hope you consider joining the TCP Challenge this month!  :) .

TCP Cuppa Sunshine...The Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Hop Day 2

Hey there inky coffee-loving friends!  It's Saturday and woo hoo!  I'm hoppin' along with the Spring SummerCoffee Lovers Hop today.  It's Day 2.  Have YOU played along?  Head over to the main Coffee Lovers Hop post HERE to add YOUR project to the fun!
I pulled out a fun little coffee to-go cup image from the new set Freshly Brewed Heaven  at The Cat's Pajamas and paired it up with the perfectly springy sentiment from the Look for the Rainbows
To add a bit more whimsy to this set, I doodled a springy scene onto the sleeve of the cup and colored in kinder-style with Neocolor II pastels.  After that, I stitched up the background paper on my sewing machine and assembled my card.
To finish off the card, I added some plaid yellow ribbon, a yellow button tied with floss and some sparkly Silver Saucers holeless sequins.

Thanks so much for hopping over.  I'll see you tomorrow for my special Sunday Sip feature...and a little treat!  :)

Summer's End...

Well, only a few more weeks remain until I head back to school for the year. I'm excited to start the school year again with the same group of amazing kiddos. I'm lucky to be looping for the first time in my teaching career.

I've been busy soaking up the last bits of my summer and have been stamping too. Over my vacation a few weeks ago, I stamped and colored tons of images so I'm madly trying to pair them up with the perfect card layouts. I don't usually work that way. It seems a little backward in my mind, so it's been a bit difficult. I prefer to pick papers then pull colors for my images from the paper.
I'd like to share one card I finished today. I recently purchased a few stamps from a former OBP team member who recently started selling her own adorable stamps (Sparklecreationsrubberstamps.com) and with her new August release just the other week, I thought I had better get this stamp inked before the new stamps arrive in my mailbox. This is Swimming Lucy...Isn't she cute? I also used WoodwareUSA's sentiment set: Mixed Greetings
I totally used scraps for this creation!!!

PS...I've got some great news to share too... I received an email today stating that I am one of the semifinalists in the Design Team search for Heartfelt Creations! I'm so excited! I will be receiving some stamps that aren't released yet and I am to create two items with them, then email them the pictures...and we'll see if I make it to the finals! Wish me luck!

Later-
Kerry
