Coffee Lovers Blog Hop Day 5: Elizabeth Crafts Designs

 Hey there Coffee, Tea, Cocoa Lovers!  I'm back with DAY 5 of the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  Today I'm featuring a cute set from Elizabeth Crafts Designs.  I picked up several stamp sets from this company (for my first time) at the Scrapbook Expo this summer and I have been holding this adorable set in waiting for this hop!  I searched the whole booth for coffee lover stamp sets and this was one of the sets!  LOVE IT!  The animals in this critter set are all dressed and ready for fall/winter!  This set is appropriately called "Winter Animals".  I love the little squirrel!  I think he's holding a cuppa hazelnut flavored coffee.  HEE HEE The sentiment comes from the "Cute Winter Sentiments".

I decided to doodle a tree and some falling leaves.  Yeah, I must have been feeling the vibes from my front yard that is currently blanketed with a whole tree's worth of leaves.  Just gotta get the leaf sucker-upper out there before it gets dark tomorrow.  

I colored the squirrel with Copic markers.  Isn't he cute?

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop Day 4: Super Sponsor RG Avenue!

So while playing with the coffee cup, I inked up the cup with some Tangy Apple and Rich Cactus ink (directly onto the plate) and then splattered some Black Taffy reinker onto the plate and then applied the plate to some Powdered Sugar cardstock.  Next, I cut out the image and used a paint brush to apply some Media Mixer and some Vanilla Cream and some Black Taffy sugar drops reinker along the edges of the cup.  After that, I just flicked some Rich Cactus sugar drops reinker and some Dazzling Pat onto the cup to finish it off before overstamping the design.  

Since it was a few days before Halloween, I decided to grab the pretty and appropriate images from the new Life Celebration set called "Boho Skull".  It matched perfectly to a ceramic tumbler I have in my pottery collection from the amazing potter/artist/teacher named Tony Young (@youngy_03 on Instagram).

I stamped the skull on the cup then distressed the paper a bit with Black Taffy ink.  I then dripped a few droppers of Rich Cherry reinker down the side to create some "bloody drips".  I also added some flicks of black acrylic paint and media mixer/rich red reinker onto the cup before coloring the flowers. 

 I colored the flowers with Copic Markers and then I fussy cut them and rubbed a bit of black ink over them with a blending brush before attaching them to the cup. 

To finish off the card, I applied the sentiment and flicked some reinker on the white panel before attaching the flowers and mounting it onto Nectar Stone cardstock and then mounting it onto a powdered Sugar card base.  I also added a few blingy bits here and there and of course, had to add some ribbon!

Sunday Sip! Day 3 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop...Pink and Main!

Hello there coffee/tea/cocoa loving crafters!  It's Kerry here and I'm back with another Sunday Sip!  This week I'm celebratin' by sharing a card I created for Day 3 of the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  Are you loving the hop so far?  Have you been playing along?  We hope so!  My card today features products by Super Sponsor Pink and Main!

To create my card, I pulled out some yummy Pink and Main products:  Herringbone Stencil, Tea-rific stamp set and the Mum die set.  Mums are so perfect for the Fall season and I just love their pouffy flowers so much!

I colored the teapot image with Copic markers and added some coordinating doodling on the card base.  I also added some real English tea on the center of the mum flower.

Coffee Lovers Fall/Winter Hop Day 2: Super Sponsor Graciellie Designs!

Are you hopping?  It's day 2 of the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and I'm hopping every day of the hop.  The hop will continue until November 8, so please join us and play along.  The only requirement is to post/share a card featuring coffee, tea, cocoa, spirits in a cup...whatever!  Since it's fall, I'm focusing my projects on Fall/and the upcoming winter season.  There are a TON of sponsors (thank you!) and lots of awesome prizes!!!

Today's card features the fabulous digital designs of Super Sponsor Graciellie Designs!  My project includes the newest designs available in Gracie's shop:    Digi Papers "Cozy Christmas" and digi stamp set:  "Cuddle in a Cup" and the circle tag/disc from the "Cheery Cocoa" Mini set.

Now there's one thing I really love:  Patterned Paper.  BUT I don't really like to print it from my own printer.  I like having it handy in a pre-printed pad all ready to go.  I also like to keep my printer working with just black ink- so I am very frugal with my colored inks.  Well, I couldn't resist the papers in Gracie's new digi set so I took the plunge and hit the print button on the red plaid pattern...Welp, it was a womp, womp, womp.  The paper printing was a disaster and I used up a ton of green/yellow and black inks in the process.  UGHHHH.. Check it out!

Well, just imagine a little more...I was DETERMINED to not let this precious ink go to waste so I cut this printed paper out and prepped for a coloring adventure.

I pulled the colors for my digital cup images from the paper that was printed.  I knew I would never get that printed design again as that "running on empty" design was a one-off.  I pulled some Copic Colors and got straight to coloring the image.  Coloring is fun anyway so I was happy to give her a go!

Well, I distressed the printed paper with some red ink and a blending brush and whipped up the card in a flash...well, maybe not that fast.  Here's the result.  I'm pretty happy with it too!

Isn't it FESTIVE?!  I love how it turned out!

Look at the fun tag.  I love that I can digitally add any sentiment to the center of the little tag circle.  

And just distressing the edges of the green printed paper with the oopsie red just helped to make the paper more intentional.  HA HA!  Matching the colors with my Copics helped too! 

I call that a VICTORY!  I still stick to it:  I DON'T LIKE PRINTING PATTERN PAPER!  PLEASE GRACIE: CONVINCE UNITY TO CARRY THIS PAD IN THEIR SHOP!!!  I'll buy several pads!!!

Joy Clair and Coffee....Coffee and LOVE!

I hope you've been enjoying the coffee-licous creations so far!  As a coffee lover myself, I've been waiting for this hop since the conclusion of the last hop!  The Coffee Lovers Blog hops are so fun and full of inspiration (and encouragement to shop, shop, shop) don't you think? 

Today, I'm sharing a card featuring the foam art in the Coffee Talk stamp set.  I'm also featuring the deelish cardstock from Bazzill Basics!

To create this card, I used the following Bazzill Basics Paper: 
Bazzill Basics Bling:  Regal 
Bazzill Basics Pale Rose

I cut a 12x12 piece of Pale Rose Cardstock up so that I would have a 5x5 square card base and a 4x4 piece to stamp on. 
I cut a 12x12 piece of Regal Blingy cardstock so that I would have a piece of 4.5 x 4.5 to use as a layer.  I also used a scrap of printed paper from a retired My Minds Eye printed paper pad called Vanity Fair.  
I started out by cutting my Pale Rose cardstock into a 5x5 card base.  I also cut a panel that was 4x4 so that I could splatter some Walnut Stain Distress Oxide over it.  When I was satisfied with the splatter of the ink and some water, I blasted it with my heat gun so that it would dry quickly.  Then I stamped the heart pattern foam art over it using white ink.  Next, I dried it again and rubbed some Gold Pan Pastel over that.  Next, I used my Misti to stamp the additional heart design foam art with some dark chocolate ink onto a scrap of white cardstock.  I fussy cut the foam art and rubbed it with some Gold Pan Pastel to get it shimmery and started to assemble the card.  

I wanted you to see all the shimmer and shine on this card so I tilted the paper a bit so you could see the deelish metallic sheen on my paper.  Just love how it transforms a regular card into something so elegant.  

After arranging the printed paper and the foam art onto the card front, I stamped the MMMM... sentiment onto the splattered panel, mounted the bling panel onto it and wrapped this panel with a yummy mocha satin ribbon then I attached this panel onto the card base using foam squares. 

And there you have it!  A perfecty gorgeous card to share with a coffee loving friend!  Thanks so much for hopping over and enjoy the rest of the hop! 

TCP Cuppa Sunshine...The Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Hop Day 2

Hey there inky coffee-loving friends!  It's Saturday and woo hoo!  I'm hoppin' along with the Spring SummerCoffee Lovers Hop today.  It's Day 2.  Have YOU played along?  Head over to the main Coffee Lovers Hop post HERE to add YOUR project to the fun!

I pulled out a fun little coffee to-go cup image from the new set Freshly Brewed Heaven  at The Cat's Pajamas and paired it up with the perfectly springy sentiment from the Look for the Rainbows

To add a bit more whimsy to this set, I doodled a springy scene onto the sleeve of the cup and colored in kinder-style with Neocolor II pastels.  After that, I stitched up the background paper on my sewing machine and assembled my card. 

To finish off the card, I added some plaid yellow ribbon, a yellow button tied with floss and some sparkly Silver Saucers holeless sequins.

I'm excited to join along in the hop and feature several of my most favorite stamp/digi sets around.  As I know the hop is B-I-G, and things can get hopping really quickly, I'll keep my rambling short.  HA HA.

I created this little dark chocolate covered coffee beans treat container that features the new set "Coffee and Jesus".  I used some yummy cardstock from Bazzill Basics too.  

I stamped the little wreath (that is included in the set) onto some pink cardstock with some watermelon ink and then colored the leaves with a white Gelly Roll pen.  I then diecut a little pillow box using a die from Fun Stampers Journey.  After assembling the box, I filled it with some dark chocolate covered coffee beans and then I wrapped a piece of Regal Bazzill Bling cardstock around the pillow box and tied that off with a piece of Ecru floss and a few buttons-one abalone shell and one sweet pink!

Next, I stamped and colored the cup using Copic markers.  I tucked that little cup into the "belly band" and now I have a fun little treat to share with a friend!

 I created THREE projects using the fabulous digi set!  I love, love, love that I could print the images in a variety of sizes and could use them for not only cardmaking, but some other fun projects!

My first project is a card.  I loved stitching a whimsical "steamy" background with my sewing machine and the cup was a dream to color with my Copics!  

My next project is a Bible Journaling project.  This digi set worked perfectly for this verse.

Yes, Coffee and Jesus in the morning!  FOR REAL!  a

I doodled a few of the elements from the stamp set that I had to cut off when fussy cutting the flowers from the coffee cup.  I decided to just focus on the sentiment and the flowers for this spread...

Being able to print these images in various sizes allowed me to select and color the perfect size of flower for each panel.  It also allowed me to mix and match some of the leaves so that I could really make my page gorgeously floral (and cover some of my personal journaling)

My final project is a fun little (well, kinda little) magic erase book.

I colored a large version of the digi cup with Copic Markers then cut it out.  I traced 7 additional images on white cardstock then cut those out too.  After they were all cut, I laminated each page and punched holes on the side so I could connect them together with binder rings.  Adding a few bits of ribbon finished it off.  

This is such a fun way to have a book that you can keep forever.  The Sharpie marker is easily removed with stamp cleaner and a tissue and the page is wiped clean.

Hoppin' Day 2!

Hello there coffee loving friends!  I'm back with my second creation for the FALL Coffee Lovers Hop.  This time, I'm sharing a scrappy little Christmas card that features the Joy Clair stamp set called Christmas Coffee.  Yes, I KNOW, I KNOW, this is a FALL hop but I have a reason for this card at this time!  LOL.  It is that time of year when I start cranking out millions and millions of Chirstmas Cards.  Yes, while I'm sipping my Pumpkin Spice Latte and dreaming of cool days ahead, I'm prepping my Christmas basket...So that's, ok, right!?!  

This is a fun set that includes two "sweater-like" backgrounds to fill a coffee mug, some holly leaves, coffee beans and a yummy collection of sentiment parts!  Such a great collection that you can mix and match to create an unlimited amount of unique creations.  

To create the colorful panel, I glued a variety of my cardmaking scrappy strips to a piece of cardstock.  It's fun to use these strips to make striped backgrounds!  I stamped the cup and just lightly stamped a few hints of the sweater background just to give the cup a bit of texture.  After that, I watercolored with a mix of colors that are found in the background and then added the holly leaves and coffee bean.  After that, I stamped the sentiment panel and distressed it with some coordinating colors and some golden embossing powder along the edge.

Seas the Day...Don't Let Go!

I always love to look at stamp sets in a different way, especially HOW I can incorporate them into a COFFEELICIOUS design.  SOOO...This was a fun adventure for me!  I designed an exclusive Coffee Lovers Blog Hop coordinating OCTOPUS CUP image that I call "Don't Let Go!" It works perfectly with the Joy Clair's Seas the Day set.

In my creation, I am featuring the Joy Clair Seas The Day set (A FAVORITE), the Wood Background and to coffee-ize it, I drew up a fun octopus coffee cup.  This octopus is definitely not ready to let go of his cup any time soon!  Hope you enjoy!

I started out by stamping the wood background onto Kraft card base using some brown ink.  After that, I rubbed a bit of white ink along the edges to "weather" it up a bit.  I stamped the jellyfish and sentiment onto white cardstock then colored them with watercolor pencils.  I stamped the waves in the set with some aqua ink then added a bit of sparkle to it, tore the edges a bit and attached them to the card with glue.  I wanted to create a look similar to washi.  

 Don't you think the wavy stamp works well as a faux washi???

I attached some twine along the top and started coloring my hand drawn image (I digitized it so that I could print it over and over again!  After printing the images and coloring the octopus cup with watercolor markers

International TEA Day...

It's International Tea day and I'm here sharing a tasty little tea card I created using some sweet treats from one of my recent Whimsy Stamps order.  I love it that each time I order from Whimsy Stamps I receive a fun little treat freebie in my order!  This time, I received a fun holiday sentiment with a trio of adorable snowflakes.  I cut the sentiment and snowflakes apart and used these cute little snowflakes on my card.

To create this card, I stamped the snowflakes using Fun Stampers Journey inks and cardstocks: Denim Days, Turbo Teal and Cosmic Grape ink onto Whip Cream cardstock.  I love this color combo!  I also added a little rub of the light blue in the Confectionary Days Pan Pastel set too.  I tore a piece of Kraft cardstock, rubbed a bit of Whip Cream ink onto the edges then applied that over the snowflakes.  After stamping and creating the background, I stamped the tea cup from the "Need More" stamp set onto the Cosmic Grape cardstock and the tag onto Kraft cardstock.  

I attached some River Stone satin ribbon and dangled the tea-cup and tag from it.  I like the look of a dangling cup.  LOL
