TCP Sneaky Peek Day 3: Hugs Needed!

Hello there inky friends!  I'm back with DAY 3 of the TCP Sneaky Peek reveals for November.  Today, we're sneaking a peek of the AHHHDORABLE lovey-dovey set called "Hugs Needed".  This set is a sweet set that includes some cute characters:  a  boy, a girl and a big old bear.  It also includes some scenery.  I think this set calls for a few more coordinating sets like background builders and vignettes don't you?!  I added a few doodles here and there to blend the two character images into one and added some ribbon embellishments and doodly hearts/dots.

After stamping and coloring the images with Copic markers,  I added a few doodles here and there and mounted my design to a blue card panel and then to a red card base using foam squares.  I then tied some red sparkly ribbon around the panel to finish it off.  I really thought these two characters didn't need much to make them shine, so I kept my card design simple and clean.

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop Day 5: Elizabeth Crafts Designs

 Hey there Coffee, Tea, Cocoa Lovers!  I'm back with DAY 5 of the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  Today I'm featuring a cute set from Elizabeth Crafts Designs.  I picked up several stamp sets from this company (for my first time) at the Scrapbook Expo this summer and I have been holding this adorable set in waiting for this hop!  I searched the whole booth for coffee lover stamp sets and this was one of the sets!  LOVE IT!  The animals in this critter set are all dressed and ready for fall/winter!  This set is appropriately called "Winter Animals".  I love the little squirrel!  I think he's holding a cuppa hazelnut flavored coffee.  HEE HEE The sentiment comes from the "Cute Winter Sentiments".

I decided to doodle a tree and some falling leaves.  Yeah, I must have been feeling the vibes from my front yard that is currently blanketed with a whole tree's worth of leaves.  Just gotta get the leaf sucker-upper out there before it gets dark tomorrow.  

I colored the squirrel with Copic markers.  Isn't he cute?

Sunday Sip...Waddle, Waddle, Sip!

Hey there coffee loving crafty friends!  It's my day on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog for another fun Sunday Sip Challenge!  This week, I'm OVER the heat and in the mood for some colder weather!  I decided to use a stamp set I've had since around February (and haven't used) for this post.  I brought out this adorable penguin set from Gerda Steiner Designs called "Valentine Penguins".  While the set theme is Valentine's Day, I can find many other uses for this set...It's so much more than a LOVEBIRDS set!  I paired the cute little penguins up with a hand-drawn image of one of those uber famous mugs popping up all over.  You know who I'm referring to, right ? 

I colored the images up with some Copic Markers (Penguin:  C1, C3, C7, 0, V0000, B0000, B000, YR65, Y32; Mug:  W1, E50, E5).

Adding a little sparkle leftover from my parent's 50th anniversary party and some brown check ribbon to tone down the formality and voila...It's done.  I LOVE IT!

Brrrrrr....Penguin Doodles....

Here's the final Christmas Card design I sent out for 2012.  When I got this little UNITY penguin in the mail (one of my Stamp of the Week treats), I just smiled because I knew exactly who would be getting ONE of these babies...I wonder if she knows it's still sitting on my kitchen table because I lost her address in my missing address book.  It'll wait, wait, wait until I get that address!!!  As for the other 11 penguins in this set, I'm sure they're having a blast tossing those snowballs all over the USA!
