Day 3: Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop...Warm Wishes

Hello there inky friends!  It's DAY 3 of the Fall Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  Have you hopped with us yet?  Have you found some awesome inspiration?  I sure have!  I'm hopping along trying to keep up with all the fun posts and have identified several FAVORITES so far.  I'm so inspired.

Join the fun and hop along with us!  You can upload any crafty project that relates to our theme...and must contain coffee/tea/cocoa or cider theme.  :). Play along by sharing your project HERE.  Thanks again to all the SUPER SPONSORS who are contributing some amazing prizes!

Today, I'm featuring a card created using the fun images/ink and papers from Super Sponsor Richard Garay 88 and Clear!  As Richard transitions his company to a new brand "88 and Clear", he has begun sharing fabulous new RED RUBBER to the stamp collection.  Not only can you purchase RED RUBBER, you can also purchase clear stamps and digital images!

I'm playing with this adorable new RED RUBBER set called "Merry Merry".  It's a cute set that includes this adorable snowman, a cute Reindeer, a sweet cupcake, presents, snowflakes and sentiments too.  Choc full of FUN!

I created the fun background using the snowflakes and Tangy Berry, Sour Watermelon and Sour Crush  sugar cube inks on a piece of Tangy Berry cardstock.  I then created a tag by stamping the spiced drink mug and snowflakes onto some Powdered Sugar cardstock.  I stamped the snowman onto Powdered sugar cardstock, colored it with Copics and then fussy cut the image so that I could attach it to the card.

I wanted the sentiment to stand out so I stamped it onto a separate tag and attached it to the main tag before attaching everything to the top of my white card base.  Of course, I have an infatuation with buttons and ribbon, so I made sure to include those on this card.  :).

Thanks so much for hopping over to check out my card.  I hope it inspires you to create something yummy!  I'll be back again tomorrow with another fun project inspired by super delicious mocha chocolate!

Heartfelt Creations October Alumni Hop...Inspiration Galore!

Hello there inky friends!  I'm moving way past Fall and making a mad dash to WINTER!  Is anyone with me?  WOO!  Fall and Winter are my most favorite seasons and I am already over raking leaves and wet leaves from the yucky rain, so let's move on to winter, shall we?!

Today, I'm joining my fellow Heartfelt Creations DT Alumni as we share some fun inspiration and fun this month!  Every month, the Alumni DT members get together for a fun family gathering in blogland and share our love of stamping and creating with each other.  It's so amazing to be a part of this inky/creative family!  If you've arrived here from Candy's blog, you're on the right track.  If not, you'll find the complete blogroll at the bottom of my post to help you along your way.

Remember,  one lucky commenter will be chosen from one of the blogs to be this month's prize winner so you'll want to leave some love at every hop spot in order to have a chance at the goodies!  We appreciate your comments and know that your visit will continue to inspire us to create with Heartfelt Creations products we all love!

I created my wintery card using the adorable stamps Merry Moments (On sale now!) Cling set and the Candy Cane Cottage (On Sale Now!) Cling set.  I paired it up with the pretty Poinsettia & Holly Clusters Cling set/Dies and Shaping Mold to make a fun and festive shaker card.
I started out by stamping the gingerbread house onto white cardstock and then colored it with Copics and watercolor pencils.  I fussy cut the colored image and then glued it to a light blue piece of cardstock (5 1/4 x 4).  I then took some ivory acrylic paint and washed a bit over the top of the paper to dull down the image and coloring.  I added  a colored polar bear/panda image with a foam square then some foam around the image panel before filling the area with microfine glitter, styrofoam "snowballs" and some Blue Suede Shoes Prills and Minnie Pearls Prills and mounted a laminated panel to the top and tested out the shaker with a shake, shake, shake!  Perfect!

Next, I cut a piece of light blue cardstock and freeform cut the inside to create a fun frame.  I rubbed the edges of the panel with my finger to fuss it up a bit and then stamped the holly leaves with embossing ink then used some white embossing powder to make the holly leaves show up and make the blue panel blend well with the scene.  After that, I mounted it over the laminated sheet and attached the whole shaker to the front of an A2 card base (topfold).  To finish things off, I diecut some poinsettias, pressed them in the mold and assembled them.  I added some glitter to make them shine then mounted them on the card.  I added some acrylic flats to the center of each flower and my card was complete.  Can't wait to send this card to someone special!

Thanks for hopping over to my blog to check out my card.  I hope it inspires you to create something amazing and please stop by again.  Make sure to hop over to Amarilys' blog to see her inspiring creation!  See you next month and good luck!

TCP New Release Day!

Hello there inky friends!  Today is the day!  Today is NEW RELEASE DAY at The Cat's Pajamas!  WOOP WOOP!  Have you enjoyed all the awesome reveals this week?  Do you have a favorite?  I have quite a few and today, I'm sharing a card I created using three of my favorite things!  Join all of us today as we share inspiration with our favorites!

I created this card featuring the new Peek-A-Boo Frames Die and the beautiful Oh Christmas Tree set.  I also incorporated the warmest wishes sentiment from the cute Warmest Wishes bundle.  It's the perfect size for the inside reveal!

I wanted my card to be fun and fresh so I used Versaclair inks to create some yummy crisp images.  I then diecut the "greens" using the coordinating dies from the Oh Christmas Tree set and then arranged them on a green panel that I diecut with the circular Peek-a-Boo.

Thanks for hopping over!  Check out the other inspiring works from the team:

TCP Sneaky Peek Day 5: Christmas Tree Lot

Hello there inky friends!  Today is Sneaky Peek Day 5 at The Cat's Pajamas and today we're sharing inspiration with the fun set "Christmas Tree Lot".  I created a pint-sized card that fits perfectly in a standard mail envelope...You know, the old school envies!  I call it a REVERSAL of the Slimline trend.  HA HA.

I love the filigree designs in this set so I started out by creating a red panel with stamped sides.  I then tied some black seam binding around it and stamped/colored the fun tiny tree.  I fussy cut the tree and turned it into a little tag to hang from the seam binding.
After that, I mounted it onto a few different teal cardstock panels so that it would fit (with a little white edge on the top and bottom) of the pint-sized card base.  After adding some bling, I stamped the envelope a bit with the same stamp set so that it could play nicely with the card.  I can't wait to send this card to someone special!
Thanks for hopping over to my blog today.  Please make sure to visit my fellow teamies' blogs and check out their creations. Leave some love at each stop for a chance to win a TCP prize!

TCP Sneak Peek Week Day 4: Pattern Builder

Hello there inky friends!  I'm BACK!  Hee hee.  Today is Day 4 of The Cat's Pajamas Sneaky Peek Week.  We're sharing some fun inspiration featuring the brand spankin' new stencil called "Pattern Builder".  It's a pretty fun collection of pieces and parts to mix and match when stenciling fun plaid and linear patterns.  I chose to layer the thinnest stripes stencil three times (once with lime green and twice with cranberry red) to get my fun plaid pattern.  After stenciling, I added some black lines with my Staedtler Multiliner .01 pen and placed a dot at each intersection.

I decided to pair up this plaid with one of my favorite holiday die sets from The Cat's Pajamas.  J*Y is a fab trio of dies that when put together, create the perfect "Joy" sentiment.  Adding a little sparkly snowflake was just what this card needed to bring it over the top!
Thanks for hopping over to my blog to check out my project today.  I hope it inspires you to get your stencils out and make that plaid!  This stencil collection is available TODAY so hop over to the shop and pick one up HERE.  Also...  Make sure to visit each inspiration Sneaky Peek blog and leave a comment.  You just might win a fab gift certificate from TCP stamps!

TCP Tuesday... Make it CAS!

Hey there inky friends!  It's the start of the new TCP Tuesday Challenge  at the Cat's Pajamas!  TCP Tuesday Challenge #360 is all about that CLEAN and SIMPLE!  SO, yeah, it's a challenge for me!

I pulled out the cute Sketchy Santa set from the July release and decided to give ol' Santa a spin!  I love the skiing Santa so that was what would take center stage on my CAS card.  How'd I make it work?  Well, I grabbed a Kraft cardstock base (from the dollar spot at Target) and used some white acrylic paint to paint a hill-o-snow.  After that, I traced the edge to clean it up a bit and then stamped the snowflakes and trees with black acrylic paint.  Next, I colored the trees with colored pencils and stamped the snowman onto white cardstock.  I colored him with some colored pencils and Copics.

To finish off the CAS design, I flicked some "snow" onto the card panel and then popped the fussy cut Santa onto the card to call it DONE!

So there you have it.  A successful CAS for my Christmas stash.  WOWEEE!

Remember, you have until the end of August to join in on the challenge!  Just create something CAS and share your creation with us for a chance to win a $50 TCP gift voucher!!

TCP Sneaky Peek Week...Day 7: From Us to You!

Hello there inky friends!  I'm back with my fellow Cat Packers as we sneak a peek of another cute new set called From Us to You.  Check out the lead post at the TCP Blog to see the complete line-up of inspiration.  If you're playing the In It To Win It challenge, make sure to comment on all blogs today for a chance to win the TCP Prize!

This set is such a fun little tree full of critters ready to celebrate.  The sentiments and added tiny embellies are fun too...but wait...Mr. Yeti (Yeti Christmas) wants to join the fun too!  He's even bringing his own tree to the party!  Hee Hee.  These two stamp sets work great together, don't they?!

From Us to You

Yeti Christmas
To create my card, I started out by stamping the tree on white cardstock.  I then added some Copic color and then finished the image off with a .03 Staedtler microfine pen.  I think it adds a bit of texture to the tree and some additional dimension.  After that, It was time to fussy cut.  It took forever, but it was so relaxing.
After that I hunted for the perfect paper to coordinate with this image.  I found it in an old 6x6 pad called Darling Deer by My Minds Eye.  It's retired but it's nice to work through my stash!  I assembled the background panel and arranged my tree on it to see what else I needed to add to finish off this card.  I decided it needed some grass.  Yeah, it's winter, but grass grows in some places in the winter- so it works.  HA HA.  After using Copics to make the grass, I fussy cut it again and added some jute ribbon and a bow to finish that off.  I mounted it onto the cream card base then got to work on stamping and coloring the Yeti images.

I wanted Mr. Yeti to be coming in to join the fun so I offset the image and trimmed it just so.  I popped him up on pop dots so that he could stand out and then glued the hand/tree down to the paper.  Since this was a pretty busy scene, I opted to include the sentiment on the inside of my card.

Thanks so much for hopping over to check out my card.  I hope my project inspires you to create something fun!  Make sure to stop by tomorrow as we hop, hop, hop and launch the new release!

Please make sure to leave a comment today for your chance to win the TCP In it to Win it prize.  One lucky commenter from all the participating blogs today will be the winner!

TCP Sneaky Peek Week...Nature's Christmas Tree

Hello there inky friends.  Today I'm joining some of my fellow designers at The Cat's Pajamas as we give you a little sneaky peek of what's to come in our new release.  I'm featuring the gorgeous new sketchy Christmas set called "Nature's Christmas Tree" and a few other goodies coming to the shop!  You're going to FLIP!
NEW!!! Nature's Christmas Tree
NEW!!!   Great Outdoors Stencilz
NEW!!!  Big Beautiful Blending Brush
NEW!!! Clear Holographics
To create my design, I started out by using the fun four-sided Great Outdoors stencil to create a cloud background.  I used Distress Oxides for their beautiful blending capabilities and for the ability to give that "Snowy" effect with water.  The Big Beautiful Blending brush is AHHHMAZING in helping create a seamless blending and fun design.
After creating the blended background, I stamped the snow dots and stars and naked trees onto the panel.  I also stamped some of the sketchy trees with some embossing ink so that I could add Hero Arts Puffy White embossing powder.  I think it gave the trees a snowy texture.  I also dipped the bottom edge of the stamped panel into the embossing powder so that I could create a little snowy ground.

After that, I stamped the deer and the little bird and colored them with Copics.  I also stamped a few additional stars so that I could add some here and there on the card.

To finish the scene, I added the cute little sparkly snow sequins onto the card.  They pick up a lot of the teal in the photograph but in reality, they are like a glossy icy color.  So yummy and perfect for a snowy scene!

Thanks for hopping over to check out my creation.  I hope my card inspired you today!  One more Christmas card down, a million more to go!  WOOP!
