Sneak Peek Week Day 1: Beary Christmas!!!

Hello there inky friends!  It's the first day of SNEAKY PEEK WEEK at The Cat's Pajamas and we're celebrating this month with CHRISTMAS IN JULY!  The full July release is stocked full of fun and whimsical images that will help you get a head start on your Christmas cards this year.  I'm so excited about this fun collection and can't wait to share all my fun little projects with you!

**Remember, during Sneaky Peek Week, you can purchase each stamp set/die (or bundle) for the set featured each day and the whole collection will be available for purchase when the New Release Hop goes live on July 28.  Sooo...whether you decided to buy just your favorites on the days they release or wait to purchase the whole collection on the 28, I know this collection will be a SUPER HIT!

***Make sure to comment on each of the sneaky peek blogs for a chance to win a Sneaky Peek $10 Gift Certificate to shop.  A prize will be awarded each day of sneak peek week!

I started off by stamping and clear embossing the images and sentiment from the Beary Christmas set with Versafine Onyx ink and clear embossing powder.  I colored the images with Copics and then fussy cut them.  I attached foam squares to the back of each image and set them aside.

To create my card, I used an upcoming die (to be sneaked tomorrow) to create a hole in my white cardstock.  I then used a Scotch laminating pouch to help my sequins float like snowflakes before laminating the page.  Next, I attached foam tape around the hole on the backside of the paper and dropped some little "snowball" Minnie Pearl prills onto the page and the colored sign with foam squares before attaching another piece of white cardstock to contain the snow and turn it into a shaker.
After mounting the laminated shaker panel onto the light blue card base, I attached the image and tied the sentiment (no foam squares-but with a small hole to attach ribbon) to the top of the page with some red/white bakers twine.  SO FUN!

I just love bears and have collected them for years.  My childhood nickname is Kerbear so everytime I see a bear stamp set, IT'S MINE!  I'm so thrilled that this set is available!!!

Thanks for hopping over to check out my card.  I hope it inspires you to get an early start on this year's Christmas card stash!  Please hop over to my fellow Cat Packers for some additional holiday inspiration with this adorable set.  Make sure to leave a comment for a chance to win today's prize.  The winner will be announced tomorrow on the blog!!!

See you tomorrow for SNEAK PEEK #2!

The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peek Day 7: Year of the Rat

Hello there inky friends!  Today I'm joining my fellow Cat Packers as we sneak a peek at the new set "Year of the Rat".  Since my Chinese Zodiac animal is the Rat, I thought it was just perfect to play along with this set.  I love that it also includes a coffee cup...YUP...had to include that in my design!

This set and the coordinating dies are available today STAMPS HERE DIES HERE.
Make sure to hop along and check out all the sneaks of this fun set and leave some comments along the way for a chance at a great TCP Prize!

To create my card, I started out by stamping the mice on Neenah Solar White Cover Stock #110.  After stamping, I colored with Copics.  Next, I colored the "floor" and added some black microfine pen marks.  Next, I Used a blue Copic marker to color the "wallpaper".  After coloring, I added some "roses" with my copics and then embellished those with white Gelly Roll Pen.
To finish off my card, I stamped the sentiment and attached it with some pink Hemptique twine and then mounted the whole panel onto a white card base.  I love that the design completely fills the page.
Thanks for hopping over and I hope to see you tomorrow as we launch the brand new collection.  Do you have a favorite?

TCP Sneaky Peek Week...Day 7: From Us to You!

Hello there inky friends!  I'm back with my fellow Cat Packers as we sneak a peek of another cute new set called From Us to You.  Check out the lead post at the TCP Blog to see the complete line-up of inspiration.  If you're playing the In It To Win It challenge, make sure to comment on all blogs today for a chance to win the TCP Prize!

This set is such a fun little tree full of critters ready to celebrate.  The sentiments and added tiny embellies are fun too...but wait...Mr. Yeti (Yeti Christmas) wants to join the fun too!  He's even bringing his own tree to the party!  Hee Hee.  These two stamp sets work great together, don't they?!

From Us to You

Yeti Christmas
To create my card, I started out by stamping the tree on white cardstock.  I then added some Copic color and then finished the image off with a .03 Staedtler microfine pen.  I think it adds a bit of texture to the tree and some additional dimension.  After that, It was time to fussy cut.  It took forever, but it was so relaxing.
After that I hunted for the perfect paper to coordinate with this image.  I found it in an old 6x6 pad called Darling Deer by My Minds Eye.  It's retired but it's nice to work through my stash!  I assembled the background panel and arranged my tree on it to see what else I needed to add to finish off this card.  I decided it needed some grass.  Yeah, it's winter, but grass grows in some places in the winter- so it works.  HA HA.  After using Copics to make the grass, I fussy cut it again and added some jute ribbon and a bow to finish that off.  I mounted it onto the cream card base then got to work on stamping and coloring the Yeti images.

I wanted Mr. Yeti to be coming in to join the fun so I offset the image and trimmed it just so.  I popped him up on pop dots so that he could stand out and then glued the hand/tree down to the paper.  Since this was a pretty busy scene, I opted to include the sentiment on the inside of my card.

Thanks so much for hopping over to check out my card.  I hope my project inspires you to create something fun!  Make sure to stop by tomorrow as we hop, hop, hop and launch the new release!

Please make sure to leave a comment today for your chance to win the TCP In it to Win it prize.  One lucky commenter from all the participating blogs today will be the winner!

Sneaky Peek Week at The Cat's Pajamas...Folk Art Flowers and Folklore Flowers and Flutter By Die

Hello there inky friends!  I'm back with another sneaky peek!  Today I'm joining some of my TCP teamies as we share a little sneaky peek of some of the newest stamps and dies coming to the shop May 28th!  This week is SNEAKY PEEK WEEK and today, we're offering up (and you can buy it today too) a peek at an adorable set called "Folk Art Flowers-coordinating dies- BUNDLE  available too! and the fun die called Flutterby.  I'll be sharing more of the "Flutter by" die soon!
I decided to create a fun and cheerful can 'o posies.  I think there's nothing says cheer like a bright yellow so I paired up some yellow posies with some red buddy florals.  Since I don't have a green thumb, these posies are the perfect pick for me!  How about you?  I paired them up with some lime green twine "vines" and made a cute little scene with my images.
Tucking in a few little leaves here and there and adding some fun distressing made the frame just pop!
The sentiments in this set...PERFECTION!!!  :)  I added a cute little red ribbon bow because, well... bows are necessary.  HEE HEE.

Thanks for hopping over today.  I hope my happy card brought a smile to your face and gave you a little inspiration for this fun set.  Please hop over to the TCP blog for a full line-up of the sneaks today!
