Let's start the fun with the creativity and remember that we always have a $25.00 prize up for grabs for one lucky hopper!  All you have to do is comment on our blog HERE and on ALL the designer blogs during the hop.  Make sure you let us know what your FAVORITE set is too.  We're interested to know what you think!

Have fun and get inspired!!!

I selected one particular stamp set because it sang to my heart...Yes, IT REALLY SANG!  You see, I have this thing with scriptural sentiments...  They literally connect musically and I hear songs that are perfect matches...Check out what I mean!
This set is called Chain Breaker.  When you see this set and read the sentiments, does it sing to you?  Do you hear music?  I do...This is what I hear...
An exact representation of this song, right?

So I listen...and then... This is what my muse hits me with:
a soundwave....of bliss...  Can you see it?
I used the soundwave panel (after creating the stippled wave, I used some circle diecut stencil and rubbed some light blue and shimmery gold PanPastel over them)  as a backdrop for the sentiment that "got me".  Yes, this sentiment "There is POWER in the name of JESUS"...YES indeed!
I added a bit of sparkle and Apple Nuvo Drops to give a bit of dimension too.
Notice that little "Play" button?  It's from the Jesus is my Jam set that was released last month.  I also highlighted the sentiment just to give a bit of zip...

And if that isn't enough...

I connect these sentiments...and the song to scripture...and I found a perfect connection in Psalm 107:10-15.  So I brought out those chains and broke 'em up!
After applying white gesso to my panel, I stamped the sentiment and the chains with clear pigment ink then embossed with silver embossing powder.  I colored the chain with my gray Tombow marker and then rubbed gold PanPastel over the page.  The PanPastel "stuck" to the ink and then I rubbed some blue on it too.  Reading the scripture, HEART echoed through and through so I incorporated those too by doodling a few and coloring with Tombow Marker.  I also added a bit of sparkle, 'cuz you know how I feel about that!  ;)
The final touches were a few silver circle punches and a sewn strip of metallic cardstock to strengthen the page.  A little tab on the corner will help me return to this page too.
My reflections and thoughts are always scribbled in on my pages...They're usually covered up under layers and layers of paint but this time, there are a few peeks here and there...

Alrighty.  Love this set?  I bet you do!  I know it's such a fab set and I can't wait to share more with it.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find inspiration in everything you see today! Please head on over to Helen's blog for her take on a fun new set!

Sunday Sip and Share...Happy New Year!

Hey there Coffee friends!  It's 2017 and I want to wish everyone a healthy, happy and prosperous new year!  I hope you have plenty of time to enjoy all your life's treasures.

I'm back again with another Sunday Sip and Share (so happy to extend my time on the Coffee Loving Papercrafters Design Team) and can't wait to see what fun and inky challenges are uncovered!  Let's welcome in 2017 with the first card and sketch shall we?

I created a quick little greeting to ring in the new year and to wish you well.  If you're in Australia or wayyy down under, I hope you're enjoying a beautifully sunny summer day!
I selected one of my newest stamp sets from Whimsy Stamps.  I picked up this set about a month or so ago and it's having an inaugural ink-up!  WAHOO!  I love this little Holiday Sweet Treats stamp set and it was just too cute to not jump right into my shopping cart!  I love the shape of the mug, the marshmallows teetering on top, and the candy cane handle.  The sentiments aren't to shabby either.  I think by now, you can probably tell that I currently have a LOVE AFFAIR with Whimsy Stamps. LOL

I used just a few simple tools to create this card.  Ranger Embossing Ink (Clear), FSJ Embossing Powder (Black), Pan Pastel (Pewter, Ultramarine Blue Shade and Magenta) and FSJ Silks (Shimmer Gold, Silver and Outrageous Pink).  Working from a kraft panel helped soften the colors and make project shimmer and shine.

This card is quite CAS in comparison to the cards I usually create but I have to say, I love how it turned out.  I had tons of fun rubbing shimmer and shine onto the cardstock and watching the card come together so quickly.
If you know me, you know that I can't call a card finished without adding a little ribbon or twine so that's just what I did.  Black Journey twine and a stamped/embossed snowflake (from the same stamp set) tied on like a button.  :)  Cute embellishing touch!
Such a simple and cozy card, 'eh?  I just love when things turn out so perfectly!  I hope you have a warm and cozy winter!
I'd like to also ring in the new year with the announcement of the clcsipandshare sketch challenge winner for the month of December.  As promised, this participant will receive a yummy coffee-loving treat from me in the mail.  I'll reach out for your address soon.  Congratulations to:

Won't you join all coffee loving papercrafters in playing with the first sketch of the new year?  It's simple and quick...and YOU TOO could win a deelish coffee-loving prize!  I'll select a winner at the end of January, so you have plenty of time to pick a January sketch that inspires you!

Remember:  To be eligible to win, you must include a photo of your card/coffee loving project in our inlinks below.  When sharing on social media, use the hashtag #clcsipandshare and tag @coffee_crafts so we can find your fab creation!
