TCP New Release Continues: Cosmic Christmas

Hey there inky friends!  This week I'm featuring projects using the adorable Christmas Space set called "COSMIC CHRISTMAS".  This set is just too fun and lends itself quite well to gorgeous backgrounds and fun interactive elements!
To create this card, I started out by brushing some light ivory acrylic paint onto a piece of white cardstock.  After that, I rubbed a bit of black Nuvo Drops over that, then applied some teal and a little sparkle.  I let that dry and then applied some "poofs" of Shimmer Powder. I spritzed the powder with water and let it do its magic!  Next, I used my heat gun to speed up the drying process and then I applied some stamping (the little star trio in the set) using Versafine Onyx ink.  I added some sparkly silver embossing powder (from Hero Arts) and the beautiful background was complete.
I trimmed up this inky panel and added some foam squares so that I could mount it onto a teal card base.
Just look at that gorgeous background!  So sparkly, so textural, so fun!
Next up, I stamped and colored the astronaut with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and Copics.  After that, I applied a penny, some foam squares and then poked a hole into my background paper so that I could help the little fella spin around in space.  I attached another penny to the back side of the card so that he could spin!  Take a look at the spin action (and disregard the background noise-Mason says HI!!)

I used the star Liners CutUps Die to create a little star embellishment, added some sparkly sequin trim and some black twine and finished my card off with some pretty golden pearls.

See you later this week for another fun Cosmic Christmas card!

The Reason for the Season...Joy Clair Christmas

Hello there inky friends!  Today I'm joining my fellow Joy Clair Designers as we share projects featuring some of our newest Christmas sets.  I selected this new stamp set called The Reason.  I love this set because of the sentiments and images and I had so much fun creating this card with this set!
I started out by working on my background.  I used a dark gray cardstock and applied some Nuvo Shimmer Powder (Storm Cloud, Atlantis Burst, Solar Flair) and spritzed it with water until the powder bloomed perfectly.  I then used my heat gun to speed up the drying process and purposefully move the ink pool over the paper.
Next, I applied a Silver Vintage Frame Peel and Stick Glitter Dust Deco Frame from Therm-o-Web.  I wanted this card to be very sparkly and full of shine so I also added some golden thread, golden pearls and a little strip of gold glitter cardstock.  I Stamped the sentiment onto the panel using Versafine Onyx and then I added some hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder.  Finally, I stamped, colored (with Copics) and fussy cut the two angels and placed them perfectly on the front panel.  This panel was mounted onto a cream card base with some small foam squares.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you enjoy the rest of my team's inspirational projects!

Just like pretty printed paper, it's VERY difficult to cover up this type of die...I just want to see the WHOLE design!  I decided to emboss the image instead of cover it up!
After embossing the panel, I mounted it onto some dark burgundy cardstock and discovered the card was matching one of my favorite mugs!  (@brookemillecchia_ceramics on Instagram).  I grabbed it off my cup shelf so I could use it in my photos!  Love when that happens!  LOL
After adding it to the burgundy panel, I attached a pretty piece of chocolate satin ribbon, some golden threads, Hemptique chocolate twine and some golden ric-rac...then topped it off with a heart shaped veneer!

I'm also sharing this fun card created using the Zen Coffee 1 Cover Plate Die.  I really love the collection of coffee images mixed with loops/swirls/leaves and dots...It's like the images are just floating along on a wave of Coffee!  I wanted to keep the cuts and the frame together so after watercoloring a panel using Nuvo Shimmer Powders, I cut the panel and glued it directly onto a card base.  So easy, peasy!
After gluing it to my card base, I stamped the sentiment "Fall For You" using VersaClair ink.  I think the sentiment works perfectly with the falling coffee cutplate, don't you?!  After mounting it onto some fun colored cardstock, I added a little piece of gray ribbon and mounted the sentiment onto the panel with foam squares.  To finish it off, I added a few metallic pearls that help make the silvery shimmer pop on the card.
Thanks so much for hopping along with us today!  Please hop on over to Katie's blog to check out her gorgeous creation and GOOD LUCK!
