Joy Clair and Therm-o-Web...Collaboration Fun!

Hello there Joy Clair friends!  It's Kerry here and today I'm sharing a few fun creations featuring the gorgeous stamps from Joy Clair and the deeelish products from Therm-o-Web!  I created a couple fun cards and I thought I'd share how they were made...Take a peek!  

My first card features the stamp set Thankful and Blessed.  I stamped the flower and colored using Copics and Leisure Arts Colored Pencils.  After coloring, I cut the stem/leaves off so that I had just the flower head.  Next, I used the I-Craft Ultra Bond Adhesive Pen to doodle the word "Fall" and some random squiggles onto some pumpkin colored cardstock.  After that, I applied some brand new Amber Watercolor Deco Foil and ran it through my laminator.  When it was done, I distressed the edges using some Pumpkin colored ink.  

To add some fun embellishing, I applied a strip of Deco Foil Stick on/Iron on Border Trim Elements (leaves) and then trimmed the edges.  I like this embroidery element because it is self adhesive and provides for an amazing textural element to my cards.  Give it a try sometime!  I attached this panel to a Bazzill Bling cardstock card panel (burgundy) to give it a nice fall look.  After tying on some black twine, I attached the flower image and then attached this panel to the white card base using the I-Craft Dries Clear Ultra Bond Adhesive.  To finish things off, I attached a coordinating sentence and my card was done!  

I thought this flower reminded me of some tiny sunflowers I collected once so I colored the image using yellows, oranges, browns and greens.  

Look at that shine!  I love Deco-Foil and how it just makes everything so fancy!  

Next up is my second card.  It's a bit more playful but incorporates some of the same doodly aspects when applying Deco Foil.  For this card, I drew some "grass" on the card base and applied some BRAND NEW Emerald Watercolor Deco-Foil to make it shine.  Next, I stamped the sentiment onto a pre-cut kraft shape and then stamped and colored the turtle buddies using Copic Markers.  

Aren't these turtles the cutest?  I stamped and colored the turtles from the stamp set Best Buds and then fussy cut them.  Next, I selected some aqua cardstock to mount the "grassy paper" onto and then mounted this cardfront onto a lime green cardstock.  If you take a peek, you'll notice I also added some decorative flowers.  Such a fun treasure hidden...and rediscovered in my stash!  
Just a few squiggles/strikes on the paper with the I-Craft Ultra Bond Adhesive Pen and I have a fun/shiny grassy background. 

 

So delish.  Love the shine, love the smile this cute card provides!

Fresh Start...Gracie's Newest Digi set!

As I work through grief and the sudden loss of my sweet boy Mighty Mason (my 6.5 year old teacup mini Schnauzer) this Saturday, I'm finding comfort and escape in creating cards.  Art therapy is a beautiful thing and I'm so grateful God has given this gift to me (us) to help ease some of the heartache.

I loved the polka-dots (and the orange) of the printed paper selection so much so I decided to pull that design right onto the cup.  After polka-dotting the cup up, I used Copic markers to color the flowers.  Hints of orange and pink were the perfect combo for this design.  After coloring, I added a few highlights here and there with a white gel pen.  

Next, I assembled the card panel (adding in a bit of the reverse pattern from the paper and then added some black satin ribbon before attaching the sentiment flag.

So pretty.  So floral, so fun!  Hope this inspires you to get crafty!  

Be Authentic...A fab new Graciellie Digi Bundle!

 I created this card using MS Word.  I started out by laying down some florals in a cluster then lightened them up to create a watermarked image.  After that, I laid out the larger flower and inserted the leaves too.  These leaves were placed behind the larger flower.  After creating the design, I printed it and cut it out to fit an A2 card layout.

After cutting out the panel, I colored the images using Copic markers.  As I wanted to help keep the background florals very light and "watermark-like", I chose the lightest peach I could find in my Copic stash.   

To finish up the card, I glued a golden piece of cardstock along the right edge of the colored panel, attached some vibrant orange satin ribbon to the kraft card base and popped the stamped panel over that.  I added five flat-backed pearls to the card and called it DONE!  

I was able to create two additional cards using digital images I had included in my original MS Word document.  I love that I can create multiple cards using just one sheet of white cardstock!  For my second and third card, I created a leafy background by laying out the leaf cluster image onto my word document.  I then included one loose leaf and a smaller single floral image.  I also included two sentiments.  

To create the first leafy background card, I cut the leaf panel so that it would fit nicely on an A2 card base with a double mount of lavenders.  I then colored the images with Copic markers.  Next, I cut out the floral and the separate leaf cluster then attached that to my sentiment banner.  

As with most of my cards, I include ribbon, twine and other embellishments.  I just can't get enough of  ribbon!

 A closer look at the flower will give you a hint of the sparkly bits on my pretty flower!

 Leaves, leaves, leaves!  Love 'em!

For my third and final card, I incorporated the use of the remaining portion of my leafy background.  I tied in the sentiment and a fun diecut border frame.

 I added a bit of black splatter to tie in the black on the images.

 Of course, adding a pretty bow with the remaining ribbon was necessary.

...a reason to smile...That makes me think of YELLOW!  Sooo...I tied in the "smile with a yummy yellow button and a milky yellow card base.  HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY!
