TCP Sneaky Peek Week Day 2: Loads of Love

Hello there inky friends!  It's DAY 2 of Sneaky Peek Week at The Cat's Pajamas and today we're sharing fun inspiration featuring the newest stand alone dies in the collection.  Today we're sharing inspiration with the EASTER BASKET and the cute FLOWER WAGON stand alone dies. I decided to take some liberties with the FLOWER WAGON die and turned it in a wagon for Valentine hearts.  I used a few of the flowers in the diecut for the inside and outside portions of the wheel area.  I diecut the whole thing with white cardstock and then colored with Copic Markers to customize this fin die.

I used some liquid inks to create the fun drippy background and then added some splatter to finish it off before stamping the sentiment (from the new SUN PLEASE stamp set)

Since I didn't have any tiny hear dies, I decided to hand color and cut the hearts using fun colors.  I then attached them to the backside of the cart before gluing the whole cart onto a piece of white cardstock for stability.  I fussy cut the whole cart to give it some extra bulk before attaching it to my card.

This is such a fun and versatile cart and I can imagine it being filled with goodies for each holiday making it the most well loved die in my stash.

Thanks for hopping over to check out my project.  Please pop over to my fellow teamie's blogs to check out their inspiration and make sure to leave a comment for a chance to win a TCP Prize.  See you again tomorrow for another fun sneaky peek!

TCP January Sneaky Peek Week DAY 1: Hello Gnomie!

Hey there inky friends! Today is the first day of The Cat's Pajamas Sneaky Peek Week and we've got some adorable stamps and dies to share with you this week.  Are you excited to see some. cute stand alone stamp sets and dies?  Get ready!  You're going to flip!

Day 1 means we're sneaking a peek of the cute little gnome set called WELCOME GNOME!  It's a collection of great gnome images and sentiments for ALL seasons.  I decided to jump right in to all the LURRRVE and dressed up my gnomes for Valentine's Day!  The little heart elements are so fun and make these little gnomes a perfect fit for the lovey-dovey day on Feb. 14.  I paired the stamp set with the fun new GRASSY PATCHES die that is perfect to add that little patch of green to your cards.  I fussy cut my gnome images but you can purchase the CUT FILE HERE.
I love that you can create your own cute little sentiment by combining a few of the words in the set.  I also love that you can arrange them just so to create a whimsical or formal look...Whimsy for me!  I colored my tag with some Pan Pastels and a blending brush before coloring the stamped images with Copic Markers.  I blended quite a few purples blues and pinks to get just the color I was looking for.

After stamping and coloring the heart confetti, I stamped the heart banner on the gnomes hands and the heart dangling from the string on that tall hat gnome before fussy cutting all the gnomes and mounting them on the tag.  I added some ribbon and then mounted it on a white panel before mounting on fuschia and aqua paper.  Adding the grass allowed me to add one more tiny little gnome to the center of the card.
I so love these little guys!  Don't you?  I hope my card inspires you to create something adorable!  Please hop over to my teamie's blogs to check out their fun projects too!  Remember, leave a comment on each blog to have a chance to win a TCP prize!

Happy February! Love/Smitten by RG Avenue

Hello there inky friends!  It's the first day of Feburary and that means it is the first day of the onslaught of lovey-dovey creations!  Are you ready?  LOL!  Today I'm sharing the first of my LOVE collection.  It's a card I created with the Love/Smitten and the Gain Balance stamp sets from RG Avenue.

To create my card, I used some Sour Watermelon cardstock and stamped the background using Sour Watermelon and Black Licorice ink.  After that, I started creating the decorative layered piece for the top.  I cut some striped paper into a pennant shape and attached a little golden candy wrapper to the back.  I then attached some crocheted lace.  I stamped some hearts (onto Rich Cherry cardstock) with Simple Syrup ink and applied some Gold Embossing powder.  I then stamped the little leafy things from the Gain Balance set) with Nectar Stone ink and fussy cut all of the pieces before assembling them together.
I finished off the card by attching the LOVE sentiment and the natural thread, some pearls and some diecut hearts from the So Smitten die.
Splatter a little black ink and then mount the panel onto Sweet Cane cardstock before mounting it onto a Powdered Sugar card base.  DONE!

Thanks for hopping over to check out my creation!  I hope you have a fab. weekend!  See you soon!

Bears and BRRRRRRR....RGStudio360 reveals today's bundle!

Brrrrrrr....When I saw this sweet bear with roses I KNEW I had to turn him into a polar bear!  It's the perfect time of year for it!  This sweet bundle has been a BLAST to create with and I just ADORE these bears!!!
I started out by coloring with my Copics.  I also cut some strips of Powdered Sugar Cardstock, rounded the corners and doodled them up with a few blues and a few gray Copics to create a nice "igloo" for him to stand in front of.
Isn't he the cutest?
I assembled the "ice blocks" onto some Nectar Stone cardstock then splattered a bit with white paint.  Next, I cut the digi sentiment out using a banner style format (my favorite way of using digitally printed sentiments).  Next, I doodled a little snowy grounding to help this bear stand tall in front of his igloo.
Mounting this panel onto some Powdered Sugar cardstock, then onto some Sweet Pink cardstock and then mounted this whole panel onto a Nectar Stone base.  To finish off the card, I added some pink and gray twine and a little button at the top!  :)

LOVE LOVE LOVE this set so much!  I'm NOT done with it.  I'll be back this weekend with a few more projects.  Hope you have fun with your set!

Best Buds...Happy Valentine's Day!

Hello there stamping peeps!  Happy Valentine's Day!  I created these cute little Valentines for a little girl who wanted to pass out some valentines to a few of her best buds.  She picked out this stamp set from Joy Clair (Best Buds) and I stamped and colored the cutie-patootie animals with my copics and colored pencils.  After coloring, I fussy cut them and attached them to some adorable sparkly heart card bases that I found in the Target Dollar Spot!  Such an inexpensive way to tweak a notecard set and make it yours!
After coloring the turtle buddies, I added some Glossy Accents so that their shells would shine.  :)  Love these little cuties!
I have no idea if this is a real color for a bunny but I liked playing with colors and who the heck will know? Right?!
Are these little guys guinea pigs or hamsters? Whatever they are, they're stinkin' cute!  They just needed some browns and grays to make them come to life...  LOL
And last,  I added a few kitties to the batch!  I'm not a kitty lover but I can take them from a distance! Hee hee.  These little kittens are best buds for sure!

Such a quick and simple way to create some adorable Valentine's, right?!  I'm glad my little friend will have fun sharing these special cards with her friends!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Gettin' Sketchy...

Hey stamping friends!

I had such a fun time getting back into my stamping room for the MFT Sketch challenge and decided to do it again this week.  It's a SNOW DAY for me today (Not sure why because we have just a dusting of snow) so I headed into my stamping room with my pups and hunkered down for some all-day fun!

So here's the sketch:
Here's my first card:
I just love the Pure Innocence stamps and they always put a smile on my face when I color them. This one is called "Better Get Better" and of course, it's retired.  I seem to only own retired MFT stamps right now GASP, so I know that's going to change this month.  I've already filled my shopping cart up a million times over!  LOL
I colored this little girl with Copic Markers.  These images don't take much time to color at all! Usually, I select the paper first- and choose Copic colors to match but this time, her dress and tights just called for a pinkish peach color (E01, E93, R22) and a little blue (B12, B97).  Teddy and her hair were colored with several brown colors (E09, 31, 33, 35, 37).  I used some standard peach colors for her skin (E21,50, 53, YR20).  Her shoes were colored with some warm gray colors (W3, 7) Teddy's bandages needed a bit of color too so I used Boooo and B52 to help them out.
I popped the sentiment banner up on an oval Spellbinders die/coordinating scalloped die. Distressing the oval with Pixie Dust VersaMagic ink helped to add some depth and soften the appearance of the card.  The paper, well, that's from my stash.  I selected a piece of paper from the 6x6 My Mind's Eye "A Beautiful Life" paper collection that I've been hoarding for-ever!

My second card was created with the sketch elements swapped around enough.  After cutting out the scalloped oval for the previous card, I was left with a scrap perfectly suited for this card!
I stamped the xoxo sentiment with Versamark and heat embossed with clear EP.  Distressing a bit with a dry Onyx Versamark pad helped bring out more of the sentiment.  The background chevron image is from Recollections, and probably a few years old and hiding out in my stash-never used!  I stamped that image onto some lime green cardstock and clear embossed that too.  YUM!
The sentiment "LOVE" and the "xoxo" is also from a Recollections set I've had for a couple years and never used.  Coloring the sentiment with red watercolor and adding a bit of Stickles helped set the image.
I'm not one to use sequins on my cards but I find them quite fabulous on everyone elses cards, so I added a few here just for kicks.  :)

I hope you enjoy viewing these cards and I can't wait to check out all the other creations that are posted for this challenge!  See you later and thanks for stopping by!

Rays of...LUV...FREE STAMP SET DRAWING...

Hey stamping friends!

One of my FB stamping friends alerted me to a steal of a deal at Michael's this week and I decided to head over there to pick up some stamps.  I had NO Tim Holtz stamps until that day...

I'm sure Michael's is preparing for the newest releases so they had all his older sets on sale for $5.00 each!!!  That's a steal for the sets I got.   I picked up quite a few sets (one for me, one for friends) and plan on sending some over to OZ to a stamping friend.
I'm also offering one of the sets I used in the cards today to one lucky blog reader.  I accidentally picked up THREE of these sets, so I'll have an extra one floating around after I send one off to my friend in OZ.  ***If you would like a chance to win this set (Grunge Cirque), just comment below and I'll pick a random winner at the end of the month.  You have until January 31 to enter, no strings attached! ***

Just thought I'd spread the LOVE...

Victorian Hearts...

Hello Friends,
It's a long Inauguration and MLK, Jr. weekend and that means I have some extra time to spend stamping and crafting.  I received a special stampy prize from Red Rubber Designs when they held their most recent "First Thursday" blog hop and I just had to cut up the stamps and get them inky.  I love these Victorian Hearts and the possibilities for lovely cards and projects are just endless.
For this creation, I just sat down at my craft table and let the stamps take control.  I pulled some pink, red, and vintage inks and some scraps from my desktop and just went along for the ride.  The result, a simple, yet lovely little Valentine to send to someone special.  Wonder who that'll be???

Hope you have a fabulous week!  Back later!

Hey stamping friends,

I'm here today to share a little card I made this weekend with my new UNITY Stamp of the Week set that came in the mail on Friday.  I know there will be LOTS more posted in the future with this fabulous "Happy Couple"  Set (set #2 in the Stamp of the Week collection).

When the announcement for the special UNITY Stamp of the Week promotion began, I jumped at the opportunity to get such an inexpensive treat in my mailbox each week.  A few weeks ago, my first installment arrived (FIRST EVER UNITY PURCHASE/STAMPS) and I was WOWED by the quality...and the PERKS!

SO today, I hope you enjoy this little treat I created.  Stop by in a few days for more of my UNITY creations.

Happy Hearts Day...

As a proud SINGLE LADY...I'm sending my LUVVVVV to all my family and friends around the world today.  Thanks for all the LUV and friendship through the years!!!

This week at Woodware USA the theme is EMBOSSING...Any way you choose it!  You can use dry embossing, wet embossing, and even embossing STICKERS like the ones you can find at Woodware USA and in Europe.  Here are a few cards I made for the challenge.  Of course, they are full of LUVVVVVV...

My first card is FULL of yummy goodness I have been loving to work with and has VERY LITTLE stamping (only the sentiment is stamped with Versafine Onyx and clear embossed).  It is created using a hodge-podge of embellishments and see that dry embossed circle thingie there?  That's from a TESSLER embossing die I picked up at a stamp show.  It's called Gotta LOVE their dies!!!  I just put it through my Cuttlebug and POOF...no more stylus embossing necessary!
Stamp Set Used:  Circular Greetings
Embossing Die Used by Tessler
Want a closer peek at the details?  Here ya go:

Don't you just love that Jolee's key and the yummy patterned paper??? I LOVE it!!!  Gotta add my favorite black bling too!

I felt a bit guilty making the card above...Yes, I did.  After all, this is a WoodwareUSA stamping challenge so I thought it necessary to make a card with MORE stamping so here's my second project:
Stamp Set Used:  Circular Greetings
This time, I stamped the circular sentiment over and over with Versafine Onyx ink then embossed with this silvery iridescent embossing powder (it's pretty clear, with holographic sparkles) then decided to hand cut some hearts and emboss them with about five layers of the same embossing powder.  They work well on the "Sucker" stick don't you think?   The card was distressed with Ranger Lipstick Red Distress ink too.

Here's a closer look at it:

Come join the fun at the WoodwareUSA blog where you will find more inspirational work from our fabulous designers AND challenge participants.  Wanna participate?  Upload your card (blog post) to the inlinkz and you'll have the chance to win a fabulous stamping prize!!!

Hope you have a fabulous day.  Don't eat TOO much chocolate and remember...you are loved and appreciated not just today, but EVERYDAY!!!
