Coffee Talk with friends...

Hello there Joy Clair and Coffee Loving papercrafter fans!  It's Kerry here and I'm joining my fellow Joy Clair designers and my fellow CLC designers for a special hop today featuring the deeeelish coffee/tea/cocoa sets from Joy Clair.  They're the perfect additions to your drink collection and we hope you find our creations inspiring!

To celebrate this hop, Joy Clair is giving away $25 gift certificates to TWO lucky winners.  Leave us a comment by 11:59 EST on 5/18 for your chance to win!  Winners will be chosen at random from all the comments received and will be announced on the Joy Clair blog on 5/31 and on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog on 5/19.

**And as an added bonus, one commenter on MY post will receive their very own custom stamp from Joy Clair.  Yes, they provide custom stamps too,  so check 'em out HERE!

For this hop, I created two fun little cards featuring the new Coffee Talk set and the ever popular Tea Party Background stamp.

I used pretty much the same layout for both of these cards.  To create this first card, I stitched the background paper to form a "steam" design then stamped the latte cup (and the Lion foam art) using my Misti and Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I cut my Tea Party background stamp so that I could have two strips of images.  After cutting the strips, I cut out one rose teacup and one plain teacup so that I could make this background stamp more versatile.  After stamping the two tiny mugs, I colored each mug using some of my softest Copic colors.  To finish things off,  I added some Nuvo Drops Pearl and Black and flicked a bit of Nuvo Clear Shimmer on for good measure.  I also stamped the mmmm sentiment and mounted everything onto black cardstock before mounting it with foam squares onto a white card base.
I just love the Lion Foam Art!  So unique and so awesome! Faith and Coffee...Hand in hand!  :)
The stitches just make this card so deelish!
Now this second card is a layered delight.  I created the background using a stencil from Fun Stampers Journey.  I distressed some Memento color onto the stencil and then applied a few pieces of washi tape onto the panel then, stitched away!  I stamped and colored the latte mug and Lion Foam art with Copic markers.  Last up was applying some kraft paper bag.  This added a bit of dimension and gave a nod to my love affair with texture.
I layered a scrap of green cardstock onto the stamped panel then added another kraft layer to make it appear to be a stack of papers.  I love this effect!
And yes, COFFEE IS my love language.  Is it yours?

Thank you for stopping by!  Please head on over to Helen's blog to see her gorgeous creation!  If you're lost and want to get back on track, I've provided the complete blogroll below.  Have a GREAT rest of the hop!  Have fun!
