Day 2: Fall Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop: Peppermint Mocha...

It's DAY 2 of the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Fall/Winter Hop and I'm sharing my second project...This time, it's all about the Peppermint Mocha!  Yesterday, I was able to pick up my first Peppermint Mocha (and a free to-go tumbler) from Starbucks to welcome in the holiday season!  I just LOVE Peppermint Mocha and thought it would be fun to whip up one on my card!

If you're new to the Coffee Lover Blog Hops, you're in for a treat!  Cardmakers all over the world come together to share their love of crafting and all things coffee/cocoa/tea and cider!  It's the perfect time to share and inspire each other...and have a chance to win some crafty prizes from our fabulous and generous Super Sponsors!  Thank you to our SUPER SPONSORS for your contrubutions for this fun yearly event!

To join in the fun, you can add your projects to our inlinkz HERE.  Just scroll down to the bottom of the post and add your link.  Once you do, you'll be set with an entry in all the prize drawings!

To create my card, I started out by scribbling some blue colors from my Caran d'Ashe water soluble crayons and then blended them togheter with water.  I then cut the panel and mounted it onto a red base before diecutting and adhering the cute cup/whipped cream from La La Land Crafts.  I also added some fun peppermint embellishments and a rainbow candy cane from Super Sponsor Twiddler's Nook.

Of course, the red/white bakers twine was a must addition and I also included a stitched yellow button to finish off the collage.
No need for a sentiment on this sweet notecard...I love that I'll be able to send it for practically any reason!

Thanks for hopping over and I'll be back again tomorrow with another fun project for the hop!

Introducing: La La Land Crafts September Kit of the Month!

Hello there inky friends!  Today I'm excited to share I'm guest designing for Club La La Land Crafts Kit of the Month for September and the September kit is just too, too adorable!  Check out the newest critter to the pack...A little mischievous mouse!  In this kit, Mr. Mouse is helping out at the lemonade stand.  He's squeezing, shaking, peeling, carrying and slurping sour lemons one right after the other!
I created several projects using supplies from this kit (and additional products from LLLC and I'm thrilled to share a couple of them with you today.  If you're a member of the club, you'll receive a written tutorial of my first card (with link to a private video).  I hope my projects inspire you.  :)

My first card is a little twist on the sentiment "Squeeze the Day".  When I hear that, I immediately think ORANGE JUICE...SOOO...I turned my lemony themed project into an orange juice card.

Such a fun little mouse, right?  I paired him up with a yummy glass of OJ with some crunchy ice cubes.  I mounted my images onto a Scalloped Rectangle diecut.  I also thought a yummy glass of OJ would look mighty fine against a fun plaid background so i stamped my card panel using the JUST FOR YOU background panel.  Yum, yum!
Of course I couldn't leave out a pretty bow!  I used a coordinating orange satin ribbon to add a bit of ME to the card.  :)

Coloring Details:  Copic Markers
Mouse:  C0, C1, W3, RV000, White Opaque Gelly Roll Pen
Juice:  Y11, Y15, Y35, YR65
Ice Cubes:  Colorless Blender, BG53

Next up, a LEMON SQUEEZY card!
I decided for this card I would also highlight the cutie-patootie mice and the yummy LEMONS(ADE) diecut and the lemonade stand diecut.  I cut the lemonade stand to create a little fence instead.  These busy mice are working hard to get that lemon stand up and running.  They've got BIG plans to buy more Copics with the money they earn from their lemonade stand so they're going ALL IN for LEMONDADE!

I started out by creating a "cheesy" polka-dotty background with the super fun double layering stencil SO MANY DOTS After creating the fun background, I moved on to coloring the mice with my Copic Markers.  I layered the pages and even tucked in a few scalloped edges of the larges scalloped rectangle diecut I made.  I knew I wanted to add the pitcher of lemonade so placed it just so at the base of the fence.  They're just a waiting for a little refreshing rest!
I used my Copics to give added to dimension and color to the diecut sentiment. Such an adorable group of cuties, right?!
I mean look at that little fella.  He is working hard gathering the perfect lemons for his squeezy shop.
...and while the other mouse is gathering just the perfect lemons, his best bud is doing a little advertising!  50 cents is cheesy change when it comes to a good 'ole lemonade!

Copic Colors Used:
Mouse:  C0, C1, W3, C7 (for mouse with lemon), RV000, White Opaque Gelly Roll Pen
Lemons and Lemonade Sign: G24,YG13, YG41, YR65, Y15, Y35, Y11
Lettering:  Y11, Y15, Y35, YR65

Thanks so much for hopping over to check out my projects!  I'll be sharing a few more projects in a few days so make sure to hop over to my blog in a few days and check it out!

Happy Birthday La-La Land Crafts!

Hello there inky friends!  Today I'm joining the fun and celebration of La-La Land Crafts 5th Birthday Bash!  Woweee...5 fabulous years!  I'm thrilled to share in the celebration and the birthday fun with all my crafty peeps and look forward to many, many more crafty celebrations to come!

I am honored to have been asked to share in the 5th Birthday celebration by sharing some card-a-rific creations featuring the August Club Kit!  Check it out on the Subscription page HERE!  Take one peek at this fab kit and you'll know it's definitely fit for a partay!  This month's kit will also include a very special surprise giftie for YOU and I know you will just love it!!

I'll share more about the fun Birthday Bash Giveaway on IG and FB groups at the end of my post so make sure to read to the end...It's AHHHMAAZING!  But for now, I'll share my cute projects! Hope you enjoy!!!
My first card was created featuring the adorable critters of La-La Land and the new set called "From All of Us".  They're all dolled up and ready to partay!  Of course I had to give each little critter a party hat to get into the spirit.  I used Copics to help them come to life!

I mean, who can resist this little hammie?  He's prepped and ready for the fun bash and those cheeks prove that his cupcake taste testing skills are on point!

My next card features the newest Marci set called "Birthday Present Marci". Have you seen a Marci with freckles?  Well, she's got 'em here!  hee hee hee...
I used the fun number balloons die set "Balloon Numbers" to create a mask for stenciling a fun background behind Marci.  To help add some sparkle and shine, I added golden washi tape to the top, bottom and middle of the background.  Marci also needed a fun BIG balloon to bring to the party so I popped a cheery yellow balloon from the die "Balloon" onto the card as well.  This die is fun because it includes the balloon and the little ribbon.  I cut the ribbon twice to allow for a central ribbon on the ballon.
I gave Marci a few darker strands of hair to give a little whispy look and to give her a bit more texture in her locks.  The sentiment worked perfectly for this card.
My third card incorporates a little more of a twist on the dies.  I used the same stencil I created for the other card to add number balloons to the background.  I also used the scraps from the yellow balloon I diecut to create a little frame for the statement.
Giving the background a quick brush of white acrylic paint gave the background paper a fun texture and also added to the funk of this card.  I splattered some white paint on the card too.  Adding that fun number balloon was an embellishing touch to finish things off!

Before attaching the card panel to the base, I used my sewing machine to stitch some lines on the paper.  SOOO fun and funky!  Love it!

And there you have it!  Three mighty fun and fabulous cards made with this mighty fun and fabulous Club kit!  You've gotta love it!

Thanks so much to La-La Land Crafts for the opportunity to play with your products.  I appreciate the opportunity to join your 5 year celebration in such a special way!
