Hello there inky friends, I'm joining my fellow Coffee Loving Cardmakers Designers for a fun feature celebration of the newest Graciellie Design digi set called Stay Strong. This set is available in Gracie's Etsy shop and it includes a great new frappe image as well as a beautiful flower bloom and seven fun and inspirational sentiments. Click on the image below to purchase your own copy of this awesome digi set!
A modified version of this set is also available at Unity Stamp Company. If you prefer red rubber stamps instead of digi stamps, this might be the option for you! It contains the man flower, the heart and the frappuccino cup as well as a selection of five sentiments. You can check it out HERE.
I created a few cards featuring elements in this set. The first card features the frappe cup, a little acrylic paint (brushed onto and lifted off of my Gelli Plate), some gold leaf and a little pop-a-licious inking on the sleeve. A little gloss on the heart seals the leaf and gives added shine.
I used the following Copics to add color to the cup. Copics: E50, E57, YR31, Y32, V000, V95, RV95, R000, R32
My second card features the cute flower and a sentiment that inspires. I chose to keep the background a bit plain for this card so that the sentiment and flower are the focus. I love that I can enlarge and shrink the images/sentiments in digi sets so I shrunk the flower down a bit so it would become a button-like element.
To color the flower, I used the following Copics: BV00, BV02, V15, C3, YG25, YG61, YR65. After coloring, I applied gloss and some micro glitter to give it some shine. Of course, I had to add a sweet little ribbon bow too!
Thanks for popping over to see my creations. Thanks Graciellie Designs for always providing exceptional designs to work with. I really enjoy playing with them!
Kerry, both of your designs are gorgeous! I always love the details you add to your designs!
ReplyDeleteThank you Amy. It's always fun to sit down and just let the stamps speak to me. So relaxing too! :)
DeleteKerry... they are absolutely amazing and beautiful cards.
ReplyDeleteLove your mixed media idea for sure!
Thanks Helen. I just can't get enough of layers, layers, layers. Whether it be with paper or inks...I've gotta slap it all on!

ReplyDeleteLove the way you colored the flower and the layout on the second card!!!
Pretty cards!!
Thank you. I get a chuckle from the gold foil...I accidentally forgot to turn the fan off that was facing my workstation and had a whole mess of gold foil fly all over when I opened the box! HA HA!
DeleteWow, Kerry, I love the spotted coffee card. Great color combo.
ReplyDeleteWonderful idea to just use the flower and a sentiment. Great inspiration. Thank you.
Thank you Hetty. A flick of ink here, a flick there, a little brush here and there and voila...:)
DeleteWonderful cards, Kerry! Love the focus on the sentiment on your second card.
ReplyDeleteTHanks so much Donna. I always love her awesome sentiments and sometimes I feel they aren't given their proper stage and are overshadowed by the gorgeous images...I wanted to give them some love too! :)
DeleteI love the gold flecks and sparkle! Such beautiful cards!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I love viewing the gold on the heart. It looks as if it is suspended in mid air!
DeleteWow great cards! I really love how you have the gold flecks and the colors of Pink, Gold, Yellow and Brown used for the first card! And the second card I also love the colors you chose for it too! And I like how you tour a piece of lined paper to add to the White, Pink, and Green cardstock really a very beautiful look!
ReplyDeleteThank you Cindy. This set (and all of Gracie's images) are so fun to play with. I often gravitate to pinks and blues so this card didn't diverge too much from my "sweet spot"!
DeleteClever designs, love the sparkly elements!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Cindy. Of course, I am a sparkle lover too!
