Pretty in Pink...Joy Clair's August Mood Board Challenge

Hello there Joy Clair friends!  Today I'm joining my fellow Joy Clair designers as we introduce our monthly "Mood Board Anything Goes Challenge".  This mood board gets me all kinds of mushy.  I love the girly colors, the woodgrain, the florals, those tasty Macs and...that yummy drinkie-poo.  I thought about making myself some of my own rose water macarons and a lavender martini and then slapped myself and said...I need to make a stamped project.  Ahhh...I guess the foodie items will come a little later.  ;)
Check out this month's gorgeous mood board and come play along with us this month!  You just MAY win a fabulous prize if you play along!  Add a link to your creation on our August Challenge page HERE and wait patiently to see if you're the winner!
Do you see that photo #2 next to the wondows?  Well, THAT was my inspiration...I challenged myself to dig through my Joy Clair stamp set stash for the perfect little stamps to create the nine billion itty bitty flowers to make this gorgeous cluster.  I found the image in the Born To Sparkle set.
I started out by stamping the background using the drippy sparkles/glitter shower portion of the stamp set.  I didn't mount my stamp on a block as I just wanted to ink up a sprinkling of those sparkles- as to mimic how these flowers hang so drippy from the tree.  I used a new ink pad/color from Fun Stampers Journey that works perfectly for this color theme.
After stamping the background- and adding a little sparkle washi tape, I moved on to stamping the flowers.  The little starburst image would work perfectly for the insides of the flowers!
After stamping the flowers, I started cutting them out.  I knew that many would say "THAT WOULD TAKE FOREVER!" so I thought, heck, why not, let's time how long it takes me to fussy cut all those flowers....

Just about TEN MINUTES!  Not bad.  It seemed like it went by in a flash.  Next up, I had to form the florals- I laid the little circles onto my Misti foam and used my FSJ tool to cup each one of the little circles.  How long would that take???
I pressed the timer again (I didn't delete the previous time).  So...about seven minutes to get those little flowers flowerific!
next up was assembling the flower cluster.  I forgot to press the timer this time so I have no idea how much time passed.  Probably hours.  ha ha...
I didn't have any more little flowers to fill in the white space so I just said- let's move on to the leaves and I'll fill that white space with sparkle.  ;)  Sparkle always works!
Yeah, SPARKLE!  It' works.
Before I added a few tendrils for added texture and attached a stem then glued the whole thing to the paper,  I stamped the sentiment from the Scriptures of Love stamp set on the card base (using my Misti for a crisp image).  Voila.  It's done.  Don't ask how long it took.  I have NO idea- I was lost in creative bliss!
