Hello there inky friends! I'm joining my fellow Coffee Loving Cardmakers teamies AND the Design Team for SugarPea Designs as we celebrate National Ice Tea Day in style! We're teaming up to bring you inspiration featuring the fun stamp set Pucker Up (DIES TOO) and the yummy die set called Coffee To Go. If you've arrived here from Kathy's blog, you're on the right track!
To create my first card, I started out by using the lemon die to create some lemons with some BoBunny Lemonade Glaze. After the glaze dried, I stamped over those lemons with some mustard yellow ink. I also stamped them on their own on the opposite side of the paper. Next, I stamped and colored the pitcher of tea, cup of tea and the lemon with Copic Markers. I diecut the images with the coordinating dies and set them aside. Next, I diecut an oval for a backing element and then added some twine and sequins (and a button) to the card. I finished off by attaching some bling and mounted this panel onto the card base.
Of course, adding pop-dots was a MUST for dimension!
Next up was the Iced Tea to Go cup!
I used the same Lemonade Glaze to create a yummy yellow textured background and then diecut it to create an oval. I diecut the cup, straw and rim onto white cardstock and then colored the cup (making sure to add some ice cubes). When that was finished, I applied liquid glaze to the cup and straw to make it shiny. Just deelish. After the galze dried, I attached the rim with glue and attached a sentiment. Finishing off the card, I stitched some plaid cardstock to a white panel, flicked some black ink on, attached it to a foamy color (it matches the glitter in the Lemonade glaze) and then assembled my card.
Yummy right? Look at that lemonade glaze...If only it was scented! LOL.
Thanks so much for hopping over. I hope you were inspired by my creations today. Please hop on over to Lisa's blog to see her TEA-RIFFIC projects!
