CLC Sip and Share...True Love!

Hey there coffee loving cardmakers!  It's Kerry here and I'm back for another Sunday Sip and Share!  I decided to play around and profess my love for the almighty coffee...Yes, I'm truly, madly, deeply in love with this delish concoction and cannot imagine life without it!
I started off by creating a little sewn-and-shabby heart using some scraps from a quilt I'm making.  I stitched up some strips and then dipped the fabric into some coffee to pick up a light coffee tint.  After it was dry, I cut it out into a heart shape and set it aside so I could work on the card.
I think this card took a "Valentine-ey" turn with the red, black and kraft colors, but I love it nonetheless.  I love the paisley medallion stamp I used in the background (Fun Stampers Journey:  Ornamental Dream) and I think it goes well with the coffee cup (Hero Arts: Hipster at Heart) and sentiment/hearts (Hero Arts: You Are My Happy) I used. I stamped the cup using Versafine Onyx ink, heat set it, then colored with Copics (R29, R32, RV42, R0000, E23). When finished, I added a bit of Journey Glaze to give it some shine.
I particularly love the scripty font on this sentiment! It is so elegant and lovely, don't you think? After assembling the card onto Kraft Cardstock (and adding a few pearl embellishments, I set off to create the sketch. Hope you enjoy!
Remember,  we're always looking for awesome interpretations of our sketches! Please join us and share your creation with us! When sharing on social media, please include the hashtag #clcsipandshare so that it can be discovered in search easily. Make sure to also add it to our link-up HERE:

  1. I adore the boldness of this...I don't tend to design with red much and this has me inspired!

    1. Thanks Amy. I'm not that much of a red designer either...The sentiment made me wanna use red. It's all lovey-dovey don't you think?!
