Wintery Hello...design-seeds inspiration

Oh drats!  I was so wishing for the big snowstorm to hit my area this week.  I just LOVE snow and I'm really missing it this year.  I hope the snow fairies come around again and sprinkle a little love dust here...

Until then, I'll just have to settle with the cool color combo above and a little time in my stamping room.  Hmphhhh...
A few banners, some ribbon, and new stamps from Red Rubber Design, help create this cozy little card.  Using up some assorted scraps and some shabby stitching complete the project.
Stamps:  Red Rubber Designs:  Victorian Hearts
Patterned Paper:  The Paper Loft:  Serendipity-#SD108 Destiny
Cardstock:  Old scraps, Bazzill Vintage, Sea Salt
Crepe Paper:  Melissa Frances
Ribbon from stash
I'll be back tomorrow with some additional treats made with the RRD Victorian Hearts stamp set!  Stop in!

Colorful Challenge at Woodware USA!

Let's get in the spirit of the holidays...or maybe not!  This week, Woodware USA is hosting a color challenge.  You have the chance to win PRIZES too...Just post a card or project using these three colors:  RED, GREEN, BROWN...in any shade or tone!  The design team has created a lot of fun cards to get you in the MOOD for Christmas, but in my case, I'm not quite there yet...I'm still thinking of Thanksgiving and fall.  I bet you too can think of other ways to incorporate these three fabulous colors too.

Today I used one of the newest stamp sets to Woodware USA.  It's called Pretty Lables.  As you can see, there are three circle stamps and a variety of useful sentiments and little posies to spruce up your cards.  I initially ordered this set because I wanted to use the set for making Christmas tags for presents, but it's getting even a better workout than that!  I've been playing around with it for weeks and have found some fun ways to use this set.  You'll see more ideas in the future.

This has to be one of my new favorite sets from the newest USA release.  I love these circles!!!  When stamped and embossed on plain cardstock, they create fabulous background patterns.  I simply cut out the center of the circles (That's simpler than masking!) and stamped away.  Adding a bit of Vintage Photo Distress ink to the eges of the paper really made the embossed image pop.  I love this technique.

Pairing up this set with these colors and my The Paper Loft (Serendipity) paper, makes this card cry a little country and a little chic at the same time.  I just had to add a little bit of velvet ribbon too...You know me...I LUUUVVVV that touchy-feely stuff on my cards.  Oh, and I can't forget about my button...It's not naked..NO SIREEE!!!
Hope you enjoy your week, and come back soon, I've got more to show you this week!
