Day 1: Coffee Loving Cardmakers Fall/Winter Hop

Hey there inky friends!  Today is the first day of the FALL/WINTER COFFEE LOVERS BLOG HOP!  WOO HOO!  I'm so excited to be joining all my coffee-loving peeps as we celebrate our love of coffee/tea/cocoa/cider goodness...In crafty form!  All week long we'll be sharing projects we're proud of and we hope you'll join us in the fun!  Thanks to all of our amazing Super Sponsors, we have a TON of NEW and LOVED products on display and our Super Sponsors have once again shared some amazing goodies for our give-aways.  In order to have a chance at any of our Super Sponsor prizes, just play along and share your creations with us HERE!  

I created my first card/ornament combo featuring the yummy new stamps/die/stencil combo from Wendy Vecchi and Ranger called Warm Wishes.  I blended some Wendy Vecchi ink around the edges, stenciled the leaves, vines and berries (Potting Soil, Carnation Red, Fern Green, Leaf Green) and then stamped the sentiment along the edge.  I then splattered some black acrylic paint onto the panel to give it another layer of yumminess.  

To create my "2020 COFFEE LOVERS Ornament, I machine stitched a pouch using a piece of laminated film and then tucked some coffee beans and grinds into the pouch.  After it was all sealed up, I added some ribbon, corrugated paper and some bakers twine/sparkle ribbon before attaching some buttons and a little tag.  I hung this on my cardfront using another piece of baker's twine and a foam square.  I love giving cards that have a multi purpose- and this one does the trick.

Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Hop Day 8: Your Next Stamp

Hello there Coffee Loving crafters!  It's the last day of the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Hop (wahh waaah) and I'm sharing my final card featuring the adorable images from Super Sponsor Your Next Stamp!  This Love and Coffee Set had me the first time I saw it and I just had to pull it out and ink it up again!

I paired it up with the yummy Daisies on my Mind stenciling Duo from La La Land Crafts.  I just love this fun duo and how it can bring any background to life!!! I also used the fun scalloped rectangle dies from La La Land Crafts...my favorite scalloped dies!!!

 I think the sparkly balloons are a perfect fit to help bring the sunshine to this card, don't you think?!

All the Boba of the Rainbow! Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Hey there inky friends!  I'm hopping in to add one more card to the pot!  Are you hopping along with the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Spring/Summer hop?  Check it out HERE! I've got a whole week + of projects ready to share and I'm excited to be hopping along with so many of my fellow crafty peeps!  Whether you love coffee, tea, or cocoa, this hop encourages all to stamp and create using images that tug at our tastebuds!  MMM right?  

Since my other posts today focus on COFFEE, I thought I'd share a fun BOBA card!  I LOVE boba tea and I'm always trying to create my own fruity/tasty recipes.  Do you like Boba tea?  What's your favorite flavor?  I think mine are Taro Milk tea and Pineapple Mango Boba tea!  SO DEELISH.  My card today features Graciellie Design's new Boba set called Bubbly Feels.  I decided to recreate rainbow of deliciousness right on my card!  

Since Gracie's images are digital I can adjust the size of each image and manipulate the design to fit my needs.  I created this little rainbow row of cups by inserting the boba tea cup into an MSWord document then copied and pasted the image into a row.  I then placed the sentiment under the row in perfect position.  

Printing and coloring these images with Copics is a breeze.  No bleed whatsoever!  After coloring, I applied some glaze to give the cups some shine and some dimension.

Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop 2018

Hello there coffee loving crafters!  I'm joining the fun ALL WEEK long as we share delicious creations featuring winter/holiday themed coffee/tea/cocoa cards!  Today, I'm sharing a sweet little peace card featuring Super Sponsor's  Joy Clair's Coffee Talk stamp set and the sentiment from Fruit of the Spirit.  I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and Catherine Pooler's Over Coffee ink.  I colored the image lightly with Copic Markers.  

To make the coffee a bit more realistic, I added some glaze then heated it to create a "bubbly" texture along the edges.  I also added a few dots here and there to help ground the image.  I mounted a bit of black cardstock at the bottom and tied a little black twine across the bottom before mounting to the white card base. 

Pretty CAS, right?  Shocker, for sure.  I'll be back tomorrow with another fun card.  Now, I'm off to hop, hop, hop and get my coffee fix!

Woo Hoo!

It's the first day of Fall, the first day to play with my new Echo Park stamp set and the first day to stamp IN THE DARK with my CutterpillarPro GLO!  WOO HOO!!!  So sad it's the LAST day of the Fall coffee lovers hop!

I was so excited to come home today because I've been waiting so patiently for my CutterpillarGlo (Premium version) to arrive.  It was right on my doorstep waiting for me!  WOO HOO!  I pulled it out of the box and immediately went to work...IN THE DARK!  So fun!

Have you ever stamped in the dark with no lamps and lights?  Well, you can with this little beauty! She's super thin too and fits perfectly on my workspace.  SO FAB!

Of course I had to inaugurate her with a little inky love so I pulled out a new stamp set But First Coffee from my new friends at Echo Park and some Memento inks and started inking away!

Such a perfectly fun fall card on the first day of Fall!

It's time to bring out the hot chocolate too.  Tonight, it's Pumpkin Spice hot chocolate.  Yep, homemade and perfectly deeeelish!

A little bit of bubbly doodling, a snippet of the HOT chocolate sentiment and a little colored pencil coloring on the sleeve...  Those yummy dots kinda remind me of apple printing with acrylic paint but nope, it's the dotty strip in the stamp set.

Of course, my card wouldn't be complete without some pretty satin ribbon and some twine.  Just a fun little ribbon treatment for ya!

Coffee loving with Joy Clair...

Woo Hoo!!!  The hop is HERE!  I'm excited to be hopping along again and have so much to share this week.  My first share is this fun card created using a fun little sentiment from Joy Clair.  The sentiment comes from the Coffee Quotes stamp set.  It's a great collection of quotes that work perfectly as stand-alone sentiments or as embellishing elements on any crafty project.  

I created this card by first applying some watercolor splats using a sheet of acetate.  I just applied some watercolor on the acetate and then laid my paper onto that.  After that, I splattered some watercolor using my brush and my finger.  I stamped the sentiment then watercolored with some watercolor pencils.

I like to add some machine stitching to my cards so I just did a meandering stitch over and over using some white thread.  I think it gives the card a bit more to talk about...Helps it along a bit.  The little piece of Rinea Foil added a bit of whimsy and allowed me to apply some star punches for embellishments.  I added a little bronze ink splatter too.

Mounting the stamped panel onto some coordinating cardstock was the finishing touch before attaching it to a white (topfold) card base.   I had such a fun time creating this card!  I hope you like it!

Coffee and Pretty Things...

Hey there Coffee-Loving crafters!  Today I'm sharing a fun card I created using some goodies from my friend Diana at Latina Crafter.  I love her top-quality stamps and it's exciting to incorporate some coffee sentiments in my creation today!  I have a bonus too...I received an additional sentiment like the one pictured in my card with my last order so I'll send it to one lucky commenter...Just make sure you say THANK YOU in Spanish (in your comment).  

To create my card, I stamped the Woodgrain (Trocito del Bosque) background onto some gray cardstock using white ink.  I then stamped the fun banners (Scallops, Assorted Edges) using some neon/festive colors to match Latina Crafter's color scheme.  After that, I cut the banners out and attached a fun cup veneer with some black twine.  Finally, I stamped the sentiment (Coffee and Pretty Things) with black ink and colored it with some orange ink and added a bit of Wink of Stella.  Popping the sentiment up helped feature the sentiment and make the design flow.  

Isn't the cup just the cutest?  It's a thin veneer (Cafe II Wood Veneers) so it will fit nicely in an envelope!

Sunshine, Jesus and Coffee...

Hey there Coffee Loving Hoppers!  I'm excited to be back hopping along with you on this Summer Hop.  I'll be sharing quite a few projects created using goodies picked up from the previous hop...It's such an enabler!  I'm also thrilled to announce that I am continuing on as a SUPER SPONSOR on my other blog featuring Fun Stampers Journey Products.  Check it out if you haven't already!

I was excited to see that Joscelyn @bossyJoscie created a Jesus and Coffee traveler mug!  I had asked her to create one with scripture quite a while back and she said she would work on it...I waited paitently but didn't know when it would happen.  Maybe it's a coincidence, but when I discovered it on her website a few weeks ago,  I just LEAPED for JOY!  I mean, the perfect cup, the perfect sentiment...Perfectly, perfect for me!!!

As soon as I saw the image and read the sentiment, music was ringing through my head.  Yes, I recognized the song (current by Jeremy Camp) on the cup...

This is the song that rings in my heart...

So as I was creating this card, of course the song played on repeat in my mind.  I stamped the cup onto white cardstock using Broken China Distress Oxide Ink then created the sun rays using Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide and a Blending brush.

 Love this cup so much!!!  Thank you Joscelyn for creating it!!!

Adding a bit of sparkle and shine along the rays finished the card off.  <3 p="">

Sending Matcha Love...

Hey there coffee/tea/cocoa loving friends!  Today is THURSDAY and I'm celebrating 1000+ link-ups in the Spring Coffee Lovers Hop!  WOOP WOOP!  Nothing says celebrate more to me than a tasty homemade Matcha Latte.  I decided to share my process in making one of my most favorite concoctions!  I'm also sharing a little doodled Matcha container that you can grab to create your own Matcha card/tag or project.  Have you ever seen any Matcha related stamps???  I haven't, so I just HAD to create one for myself.  

Here's the process I go through to make the most delish homemade Matcha Latte:  

Add three heaping spoons (the little Matcha spoon) of GOOD QUALITY matcha powder to a glass. Warm some almond milk (I use sweetened Silk) and pour a little bit in the cup.  Lukewarm is a good temp.  Matcha tastes bitter with hot liquid.    

Allow the Matcha time to soak up some of the milk by letting it sit a minute. Stir this slurry up to remove any lumps. I do not use a sieve to remove lumps. Pour the remaining almond milk into the cup.  

I use a bamboo Matcha whisk or a battery operated whisk to stir the Matcha in the cup.  The battery whisk tends to give more foam/creamy foam than the bamboo whisk (and takes less effort).  

After the Matcha/almond milk is stirred, taste to determine proper sweetness.  If it is not sweet enough, I add one packet of Monkfruit sweetener.  

Add some cream and sprinkle a bit of Matcha powder on top.   Enjoy!  

I created this card (I copy/pasted the matcha container onto a Microsoft Word document and cut it out to create the perfect background. 

To create the colored background, I spread Ranger Distress Oxides Ink (Vintage Photo, Peeled Paint and Fossilized Amber) onto a craft mat, spritzed with water and dragged my paper through it. I dried with my heat gun after each pass on the craft mat.

The final touch was adding a doodled Matcha sentiment onto Kraft cardstock, then stamping the "Sending you" and "Love" sentiments from the Butterfly Kisses stamp set from Joy Clair.  They were the perfect parts to create a perfect punny sentiment!

Do the Bunny Hop!

Hey there coffee friends!  Welcome back to my blog.  I hope you're having a grand time hopping along in the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  There are sooo many amazing creations posted thus far and we're definitely on track to smash last season's record!  

I thought I'd share a little card I created using an image I drew and digitized.  This is one of my first images digitized myself so it's a bit pixelated and blurry due to the type of pen I originally drew with. Next time, I'll have a crisp/clean image, I hope!  

In any case, it was fun to watercolor this image and mount it onto a card.   I'll be sending this card to my parents for Easter, as I know they won't be too picky on the image quality.  LOL

Sunday Sip and Share...Fill Me Up!

Hello there Coffee Loving friends!  It's Kerry here for another installment of Sunday Sip and Share! I hope you've been having fun hopping along with the Spring Coffee Lovers Hop!  I've been so inspired by the many awesome creations posted thus far and can't wait to see more!

Today, I'm sharing a project created in my Journaling Bible.  Hope you enjoy!

The sentiment on the coffee cup "Stir Up My Heart" inspired my search for the perfect Bible Verse and I found it in Hebrews 10:24-25.  This verse was a good reminder to me.  This stamp set called Fill me Up from Sweet n' Sassy (Creative Worship series).  I stamped the cups onto white cardstock, added some watercolor and cut them out. After that, I watercolored the pages and highlighted the scripture.

Embellishing came last.  Adding some texture by using pink tissue paper (this set came wrapped in the tissue paper!) and some sparkle washi tape and corrugated paper.

A few sketchy journaling elements and doodles over the watercolored layer helped me finish the panels off.

A closer look at the scripture helps encourage me to stir up myself and others...Be good, do good things.  Encourage others by demonstrating faithfulness and a true heart.
