TCP Sneaky Peek Day 4: Spring it ON!

Hello again inky friends!  I'm back with another TCP Sneaky Peek!  Today, the Cat Pack is sharing sneaky peeks of the new set called Still Life!  It's a beautiful set that combines large sketchy floral clusters, simple single sketch floral elements, two vases and a few fun sentiments!  I decided to create a card that brings back all the spring gardening vibes...prepping the soil, gathering the pots and planting the seeds...Oh and waiting...lots of patient waiting.  HA HA.

Make sure to hop over to the TCP Blog to check out all the other inspiration and leave a comment on our blogs for a chance to win a $10 gift prize from TCP!!!

This set also is available in bundle form (complete with stamp and coordinating die set) so I used the vase dies to cut out my colored vases.  I colored them lightly with an ombre effect from the side to help intensify the light/shadow effects.  After coloring, they were diecut and I added some pop dots.  I stamped the florals directly on the "tag" form so that I could lay the pots directly over them.  After finishing the tag, I punched a hole on the top and threaded some burlap ribbon and tied that off with some twine.

This card called for a little crumpling because I wanted it to look like those bits of trash you compile on the ground when you are working on your gardening masterpiece.  You know what I mean, right?  Well, that crumpled layer was attached with that same twine to create that perfect finishing touch.

Thanks so much for hopping over to check out my card today.  I hope you'll pop over tomorrow for another fun project featuring Sneaky Peek #5!  See you then!
