Heartflet Creations Alumni Hop...

My card was inspired by the tragic events that happened in the Colorado movie theater a few weeks ago.  I felt horrible about that event and my heart broke for all those touched by that senseless act of terror.  I pray that all those impacted by that dreadful event will be comforted by the love and support of their family, friends, church and community.    
I began by stamping the yellow Bazzill cardstock with Memories Yellow ink. I had a strip of cardstock by Crepe Paper and decided to cut it up into little strips so I could assemble the strips front and back on a cream cardstock layer.  I wanted the patterned paper layer and the ribbon to show completely on this card so I modified the sentiment layer by cutting the scalloped oval and tucking it under the strips.

Heartfelt Creations:  Vintage Word Background, Trust in the Lord
Bazzill Cardstock:  Yellow, black
Crepe Paper patterned paper
Watercolor Paper
Versafine Brown ink
Memories Yellow Ink
Ranger Tea Stain Distress Ink
Spellbinders Die Large Scalloped Oval
Black Gingham ribbon
Pop Dots

    Beautiful Card!! love the patterned paper strip under the ribbon... very creative. I know how you feel about the Colorado shootings... just don't know what is wrong with people any more.

    Well done. Love the scripture cause it is so true. I liked the paper in strips. Very creative and the yellow makes me think of leaves turning.
