New Release Hop! The Cat's Pajamas

Hello there inky friends!  I hope you've been enjoying the inspiration shared for the September Release!  I know there are so many sweet images and dies that have hopped right into your hearts...and hopefully, your carts!  Well, today, we're closing out the release shares with our September New Release Hop and I know you're going to love what everyone is sharing today!  If you're hopping here from Brenda's blog, you're hopping right along.  If not, you can find the complete hop listing at the bottom of my post.  

I chose to highlight the fun Stitched Tree Duo die and the adorable character/sentiments from the Simply Blessed set.  I also used the cloud slimline die from the Slimline Suburbs die set to create some stenciled background clouds on the blue paper.  I just made sure to use some white ink and blended over the stencil several times to create the cloud effect.  

I colored my images with Copic Markers and added some black curls on the boy so that his yummy hair peeked out more from the cap.  

I made sure to mount the stitched rectangle around the framed tree so that it would highlight the scene.  :)

Miss Ink Stamps NEW RELEASE: Beautiful Destination...

Hello there inky friends!  Today is the day!  It's the official NEW RELEASE LAUNCH!  We're sharing inspiration using some of the newest sets at Miss Ink Stamps!  Today, I get to share a card I created featuring the new Beautiful Destination set.  This set is a gorgeous collection of stamps that can be assembled in a variety of ways to create a tall slimline card.  

Now this set is quite fun, for sure.  You can pick and choose these scene elements to create a gorgeous mountain/stream scene or you can choose to create a prairie with a stream.  It's totally up to you!  I decided to create a fall scene using the mountains for the background and added some fall trees in the background too.  

I just love Black Eyed Susan flowers so I colored the little flowers at the base of the stream like that.  I also added some hints of green to my stream.  I can just look at this scene and take a big deeeeep breath.  That place would be Heaven for me right now!!!

I added some stitching to the edge of the image to give a little texture and to finish off my card.  As you can see below, I'm not a planner when it comes to coloring with my Copics so I just kept pulling more and more colors to bring this scene to life.  HA HA... I was sooo into coloring, my coffee went cold.  BAHAHA.  In the zone for sure.

The Cat's Pajamas Sneaky Peek Week: May the Forest Be With You...

Hello there inky friends!  I'm back with another SNEAKY PEEK from The Cat's Pajamas!  Today, we're featuring the fun critter tree stamp set called "May the Forest Be With You".  All the critters hare having a grand time gettin' ready for fall! 

Take a close peek at all the fun cuties in the tree!  I love the little bunnies and the birds!  

I've paired up the image of the tree with the new stencil called Birch Forest.  I used the stencil to create the falling leaves with Copic markers.  I then traced over the leaves to create some lines.  To color the tree, I used Copic markers and then over colored some areas using colored pencils.  To add a bit of grounding, I added a diecut Grass Cutupz die.
