Feeling GREEN???

I sure am! This week's challenge at Woodware USA is to create a card with a MONOCHROMATIC scheme. Oh yeah, I jumped way out of my color comfort zone this week with this card, but I guess I have a good excuse!

I did something terribly painful to my back on Friday and boy I'm one sore puppy! Over ten years ago I had back surgery and ever since then, things have been great...until yesterday! OUCH...I'm so afraid I messed it up really good. Hopefully, the long weekend will help cure my aches and the muscle relaxers, pain meds, ice pack/heating pad rotations and rest will help ease the pain. Now, if you know me really well, you know that I hardly EVER take medicine but for this, I'm pulling out the good stuff!!! GOTTA GET THIS FIXED!
So right after taking my first dose of meds, I worked through my pain to create today's card...Yep, it's a GET WELL SOON card!!! I need it. I decided to head to my clear acetate too since I don't use that much. Here's the card and hopefully, by Monday morning I'll be in tip top shape!

Happy weekend! Now, I'm off to bed!

Buttons, Buttons, Buttons!

I love buttons!!! Here's my take on the Buttons, Buttons, Buttons challenge over at Woodware USA. Hope you take part in the challenge...There may be a stamp set in it for you...FREE!!!

I love buttons, and anyone who knows me well knows that one of my pet peeves is to see a "naked button". You know, those beautiful buttons with nothing done with the holes...It's like they are naked to me. Now, I know, there are MILLIONS of people out there who have NAKED BUTTONITIS, but I'm not one of them! No Siree...I mean who has ever seen a button on a shirt without something to hold it there? Or how about that singular button holding up your jeans? Can't stay up for long without something stitched through those holes, right?

SO...This week I challenge YOU to steer clear of the naked button! Have fun stamping, and oh- be sure to show us what you've made...

For this week's challenge, I decided to make a tag card. I wanted to use a lot of circles (because of the buttons) on my design so I grabbed a few WoodwareUSA sets that would work perfectly.

I also made some tiny rolled flowers from the stamped circles. It's a hodge-podge of circles, but it works for the theme Buttons, Buttons, Buttons.

I didn't forget about the inside of the tag card...
