Hello Coffee Lovers!
Today's the day to CELEBRATE our love of COFFEE! I'm joining tons of my fellow coffee lovers and stampers in celebrating this special day with a blog hop like no other. Java Junkies far and wide have worked tirelessly (cup 'o joe in hand) stamping away these past few weeks. We're ready to share some yummy love with you. I thought I'd go shopping for some NEW coffee - I LOVE BOLD, RICH, DARK roast coffees with just the slightest touch of cream. I wanted to stamp a DEELISH card to go with my new treat. I selected an oldie-but-goodie stamp for my project. Actually, I have had this stamp in my HouseMouse collection for YEARS and I don't think I've ever used it. Sinful, just sinful, I say!
It's a Mouse Party! WOO!!! I just love these little mischievious fellows. This is a 2005 stamp (and sentiment) of the month and it is STILL available on the internet. If you're interested, here's a link to one I found online: MORNING JUMP START. Yep, it's a beauty! The sentiment is a bit harder to find!
For this card, I used a combination of Prismacolor pencils and Copic markers. I used a TON of Copic colors (primarily tans, creams and browns) and didn't keep track of them as I just colored aimlessly. I added a bit of glaze over the beans to give them a bit of dimension.
Bazzill cardstock was used for the card base and the image was stamped using Versafine Onyx ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. It was colored, then mounted on black cardstock.
I hope you enjoyed my little playful card. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you come back soon! As a thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment, I will be drawing one name from all comments. I will be sending a special stampy- coffee prize to someone special and that just might be YOU! I'll post the winner of my prize on WEDNESDAY morning- so please come back to see if you have won.
