Hello there inky friends! Today is a super special day!!! I'm joining Ranger and Wendy Vecchi as they launch the newest TWO stamp/die/stencil sets in the Wendy Vecchi line! I'm so excited to be joining along and LOVE Wendy's products so it is such an honor and privilege to be able to join in again on the reveal fun!
I will be sharing projects for several days to come and am thrilled to share the first group of projects with you. It all started with that fun collage paper I stamped above...and from there, I created these three fun little Autumnal gifts using the NEW AUTUMN GREETINGS set...Perfect for the season!
My first project was to use a torn band of my stamped paper (featured above). I attached it to a band of corrugated cardstock and then wrapped it around the fun little jewel box. It's kind-of like a belly band for the gift box. After sliding it onto the box, I added some yummy olive ribbon and then blended some Wendy Vecchi Blendable ink onto a piece of cardstock then stamped over it to create the beautiful leaves. I diecut them with the coordinating dies and attached them to the belly band using foam squares. I also stamped the sentiment (love this type font!) and tucked a little sentiment into the bow. To finish things off, I carefully covered the ribbon and flicked some black acrylic paint on the box and set it aside to dry.
I just love the little blackbird so I had to tuck him into the design somewhere!!!
My next project also used a bit of the stamped collage paper from above. I layered a piece of it onto a piece of burgundy cardstock and then tore the edges to create a nice texture. I then stamped the sentiment and splattered a few bits of color here and there before adding a machine stitched piece of gold cardstock across the top edge of the design. I tied some jute and a bow around the card then inked, stamped, diecut and fussy cut the leaves/acorn before tuccking them under the bow.
I mounted the decorated panel onto a piece of corrugated paper and then mounted that onto a darker piece of burgundy cardstock before mounting on a cream card base (with my favorite topfold), To finish things off, I added a few bits of gold bling and flicked some black ink onto the card. I also made sure to add the sentiment...Love that architectural design font!Just look at those leaves and acorns...So easy to just ink and blend with Wendy's blendable ink and then diecut lickety-split!
So finally, I was on to my third project in this crafty sitting. I decided to go a different way in the color arena so I pulled out the gorgeous BLUEBIRD ,ORANGE BLOSSOM and RED GERANIUM, I wanted to create a somewhat "BATIK" style background so I blended a bit of ink in both colors then used the extra little cut-out frond from the stencil set. I love that these little pieces are kept with the set and not discarded. It's so nice to be able to create a negative AND a positive of the design.
After creating the batik-like backgorund, I blended some color on cardstock so that I could stamp a few leaves and pumpkins. I had a few extras from my previous project so I was able to incorporate them too.
I thought adding a bit of sparkly ribbon would help take this card to the "fancy" aisle of the card department so I rubbed a bit of the sparkle off to give it a bit more of a shabby hint. I then stamped and mounted the sentiment before mounting this panel onto a piece of blue cardstock and then onto a white card base! SO PRETTY, I think!
Thanks so much for hopping over to check out my projects today. I'll be back again tomorrow to share a few more projects featuring the new Warm Wishes set.
