It's the first Wednesday of 2012 WAHOO! Hope you're having a great week! I'm back to school again and now the countdown to Summer Vacation has begun. I haven't quite made up my mind about when or WHERE to go...but there are several ideas swimming around in my head...I know for sure It'll be a summer of TRAVEL!
So let's speed up the year a bit... I'm getting into the February mood....You know, that lovey-dovey month? Not really my favorite month, but I do LOVE to make cards, so I make LOVEY-DOVEY ones for February anyway.

Ranger Tea Dye, Antique Linen ink
Copic marker: R29
Kaleidoscope Transparent Embossing Powder
Ribbon (Sherry Red)
Melissa Frances Crepe Paper
Jolee's Valentine's Day Dove (Postal kit)
White Cardstock
Black Card Base
Directions
Stamp Love sentiment onto white cardstock. Heat emboss with clear ep then color heart with Copic marker. Stamp assorted flourishes around the border of the paper with Ranger distress inks. Crumple/uncrumple paper and distress with distress ink. Attach a strip of pleated/crumpled crepe paper to upper edge of design. Attach to black card base (slightly smaller than standard A2). Apply Glossy Accents to colored heart then attach the dove embellishment onto the bow.
So yeah, I've been hoarding these adorable Valentine embellishments for about a year now. I found them about Christmastime last year and haven't found the perfect opportunity to use them until THIS CARD! The little love dove works perfectly, don't you think???
January and February are difficult months for me. I begin to get cabin fever! Your card brings a bright spot shining through all the cold and snow!
