Rejoice in the Season!

The other day, I went to my stamping table and set out to do something with some strips of white paper...  I didn't have anything in mind in particular, other than incorporating some white strips of paper in my design.  So I got busy cutting some strips...Five in fact.  When they were cut, I pulled out some dark teal cardstock that would be used as my base.  I liked that combination together...After that, I picked some coordinating ink that would work well with the design (Broken China Distress Ink).

Selecting the perfect stamps was the next step and I found them in my Heartfelt Creations set called Snowflakes Medallions .  I then stamped the snowflake repeatedly on the white strips.  Distressed the edges and glued them edge to edge on a piece of cardstock.  Stitching them around the edges with brown thread pulled it all together.  Before applying the desgn to the card base, I added some ribbon from http://www.clearbags.com/, then used my Spellbinders Snowflake Wonder Shapeabilities die to cut out some snowflake designs.

Of course, you know me and Stickles.  We're best friends!  I added some Silver Stickles to the background design and the snowflake then chose my sentiment.  Cardinal With Holly Berries provided the perfect sentiment!  I love the sentiments and the font in this set!

I love how this card turned out and will be making more of them to send to family and friends this year...This is just simple elegance at it's best, don't you think!

Make sure to stop over at the Heartfelt Creations Blog on Wednesday to check out all the designers creations this week.  I know you'll find at least ONE project that'll knock your socks off!
