YNS it!

I'm excited to announce that I was asked to be a Guest Designer for the Your Next Stamp Challenge blog for the month of November and WOO HOO... A stamper NEVER passes up a challenge!!!

This challenge is called YNSC29: YNS it! The challenge is to use at least two of these three items: YELLOW, NESTIES and/or STICKLES...Well, that's not a problem! I've got 'em all! Now, I hardly ever use yellow, but geez...I've got to do it more often so here I am this month, grabbing me some YELLOW!!!

I started out by selecting one of the cutest sets with a little skater dude called Skateboard Dude...Boy cards are few and far between in my collection, so I wanted to make sure I made a card I could send to one of my "boys". Since we're getting closer to one of my favorite seasons, I knew this little dude would make an awesome snowboarder...so I cut out the skateboard wheels and made a little edge decoration to make the remaining wheel lines WORK! I purposfully added yellow in his clothing and on his RADICAL board, so it would fit with the theme. I don't think I've ever seen yellow in a winter card before, but heck...Yellow's a happy color and the sun does shine on the slopes, right?

Adding a little translucent "cardstock" helped mute the slopes a bit to force it more into the background because that DUDE Rocks...and he needs ALL the attention!!!

Now, I couldn't forget the sentiment on the inside! I love that most YNS sets come with a few sentiments you can use to make fabulous cards. I find they are so versatile and can be combined with other sets to make just the PERFECT card for your needs!
