Getting Sketchy at Woodware USA...

This week at WoodwareUSA it's all about interpretation of this SKETCH:

Now, there are no measurement or color stipulations, just create a card using my sketch.  Have fun and make sure to post your creation on the WoodwareUSA blog so you have a chance to win a fabulous Woodware USA stamping PRIZE awarded each month to one lucky participant!

So I had TONS of fun creating a card using this sketch.  I can say that I now have about four or five basic layouts (minus the focal image) ready to turn into cards...I just had the hardest time making the perfect one for the image I colored so it took me about five tries at this layout to find something "acceptable".  Anyway, here's my finished card and all the close-ups...
I used a couple Woodware sets with this card.  Ted in the Garden (so cute!) and Leafy Swirls I also used some patterned paper Dawn sent me to use on future projects!  Of course you know me and ribbon, I used two colors since I still have almost 1000 yards of those colors in my stamping room.
Take a close look too and you'll see that I added some stickles to the watering can (water) and the leaves in the background.  Ted is colored with my copics...I didn't keep track of the colors.

The card needed a sentiment so I added a little tab on the side too!  There you have it, a fun little card for someone special!

Check out all the other designs created by my fellow design team sisters too.  You just might find something that makes you SMILE!!!  Check back in a few days (April 28) because I'll be participating in a Stamping-Scrapping/WoodwareUSA blog hop that you won't want to miss!!!

  3. first of all, *thank you* for designing such a great sketch! and secondly, this card is adorable! I love what you did with the leafy swirls set, the glitter makes it look like manufactured patterned paper!
