The Christmas Card RUSH!

One would think that when you are a memeber of a monthly Christmas card challenge group, a member of a monthly Magnolia Christmas Card Hop group, a Winter Lover, a lover  of all things BLUE, and a card maker, you would have your Christmas cards done WAY before the week of Christmas, right?  WRONG!  I haven't finished making my cards AND I haven't mailed one yet!

Maybe it's because I procrastinate, maybe it's because I can't find my address book, or maybe it's because I hand make specialized cards for each and every person in my life...Hmmm...I think it's all three.  Either way, I'm late once again!

So I sit here this weekend trying to finish up on all my cards.  Here's another one I created for a special person in my life.  I hope they enjoy it!

I first inked up the Basic Grey embossing folder with Brown Versacolor ink.  Then embossed in my Cuttlebug.  After that, I distressed the edges a bit with some distressing ink to make the embossing really shine!   I stamped the dotted circle from the Woodware set called Tiny Frames and then the tiny snowman from one image in the set A WINTER'S DAY.  Next, I had to use my white pen to color the snowman.  After he was dry, I over-stamped the snowman again to darken the black lines.  I punched the stamped circle out, adhered it to the snowflake with a sticky dot, and added some sparkly ribbon to the snowflake.  Quick and simple!  Sure, it'll take one and a half stamps to mail but, I love bumpy cards!    PS...I found the snowflake ornaments (in silver and white) at Michael's.

**A little reminder...My free Woodware Sentiment Set Challenge will end on Monday so make sure you post a card...Just do something fun-and different (alter) with a Snowman image!!!

Now I'm off to make more Christmas cards!

  2. I love the colors you used in this card! Cute little snowman for sure and I would have never thought about "over-inking" the snowman.
    For sure cute snowflakes too.
