Birthday Greetings Featuring Joy Clair's Let's Celebrate!

Hello there Joy Clair Friends!  It's Kerry here and I've got something F.U.N. to share with you today!  Since It's my birthday month (I'm an April Fool's Day baby!) I was excited to be able to create a card for myself...and another for my little sister!  Yes, I have a sister that was born on my birthday! Just imagine that!  It's true!  For real!  No joke!  SOO...This new Let's Celebrate set came just in time to play!

So the first thing I did was create a fabulous background for my card(s). Each Joy Clair set comes with a little acetate sheet on top of the stamp set so that it can glide easily into the packaging. This little sheet is the perfect tool to transfer ink! Since I recently got the full set of Ranger Distress Oxide Inks and reinkers, I was excited to play with them once again. Just placing a few drops of color on my non-stick sheet, spritzing with water then laying the acetate over the top created the yummiest color blend. I lifted the acetate carefully and laid it onto a sheet of white cardstock to transfer the ink. YUM!
Isn't it just too, too delish?  I just love it! You really have to know when to say when! Don't go crazy with rubbing the ink into the paper, just lay it gently on the paper and lift. Perfect every time!
After that, I stamped, cut, colored and cut out the cupcakes. I also wanted to create some "Sprinkles" for the card so I swiped a few colors onto some scrap paper.  I cut these scraps up to mimic the look of sprinkles.
I thought I'd give you a closer peek at some of the yummy color blends that were created with the yummy ink:
You can see a few of the little sprinkles on the kraft banner and under the Kraft banner. I also added a little bit of tissue paper to accentuate the party vibe!
This is such a yummy set! The adorable balloons were colored and are ready for the other card but when I applied them to this card, they just disappeared into the background color. I know they'll take the spotlight in the next birthday card I create!
Thank you for stopping by to see this fun card! Don't be scared to make a mess...add some sprinkles and have some fun!  :)
