Shades of BLACK...

I decided to step away from TRADITIONAL COLOR this week and went with a neutral monochromatic scheme with my Copics...Used all my Warm Gray colors, in fact.  I just love the Paint Brush in the DIY set and have been thinking about doing a black and white (with a rainbow of colors on the inside of the card) for a long time and I just thought it would be a perfect time to make it this week.

Since there are SO many different shades of BLACK and gray, I thought it fit PERFECTLY in the monochromatic theme.  Yes, I know black and white are the absence of color but in respect to Copics...they aren't absent of color at all!  The warm grays (as compared to the cool grays) have a hint of red instead of blue...thus, the name WARM GRAY...There's something about a warm gray...I just love it.

I paired up the paintbrush image with some deelish silver/gray stickers from Woodware USA called HINGES.  These stickers are so FUN!!!  Yeah, I know silver is in the COOL palate, but the stickers (and stickle) worked with my design and added a bit of contrast with that warm color scheme.

This week at Woodware USA, we challenge you to step into the MONOCHROMATIC arena and create your own project!  Rememember to post your creation to our blog posting this week so you can have a chance to win a fabulous stamping prize at the end of the month.

Hop over to the Woodware USA blog to see more projects by my fellow DT sisters too.  Don't forget, there's a little video you may want to check out too!!!

  6. Kerry, this is great!! Love how you used the hinges on the card - they go so well with the images you stamped. Also like how you cut the edge to follow along the paint brushes. TFS!
