Beat the heat...It's Christmas All Year Long!

Phew, it's so hot here. I'm ready for WINTER! School just got out and I'm ready to celebrate! To get into the MOOOD, I made a card for Christmas. Yep, it's never too soon for Christmas! I'm getting my stash built up this year so I won't end up like last year...In a mad dash to make cards for family and friends.

Every month, I am challenging myself to participate in the
Magnolia-Licious Christmas All Year Blog Hop. I guess you could say it's a bit selfish, but I need some motivation to keep me going or I will end up spending the first few weeks of December making cards for family. Fellow Magnolia Friends are also participating in the hop so please take time to view their creations (your comments are a wonderful gift).

So here is this month's creation. I got this Cardkeeper in the mail this week from my friend and I was so excited to make something with it. I decided I would use it for my Christmas cards. It holds A2 cards, so I've gotta step out of my 6x6 box and make some Maggie cards using the A2 format. I'm not quite done with it yet but I wanted to get it posted tonight for the blog hop.

I LOVE this cute little Maggie. I've had her for a long time and her knitted cap is what made me want her so badly. I use her often too. I hand drew the tree (Kinda Charlie Brown) and the little pine sprigs. I just got finished teaching for the summer so I had to hurry and make this up last night so I'll make sure to show you the finished book when it's completely done.

Details:
Stamp: Magnolia, The Angel Company (sentiment)
Ink: Memento, Versamagic (lt. blue behind head)

Diamond Stickles
Board Book: Cardkeepers.com

Now that you've seen my creation, please hop over to Lauren's blog.

I'm headed to the National Scrapbooking Convention and a class in Chantilly tonight so I know I'll be back with some fun new tricks and goodies.

  12. Kerry, I love your card! Love the clean look of it. The colours you've chosen are wonderful--I like those particular shades of red and green. Terrific background scene you've drawn--I never miss watching A Charlie Brown Christmas every year...LOL. Great card.

  14. What a fabby card - maybe I should join this blog hop too. At the beginning of the year I said to myself that I would make 1 christmas card a week, now the thing is that it didn't last and I only have 4 and we are already halfway through the year. Do you think I need to panic ?!!!!
