It's HERE!!! World Card Making Day!

I'm excited to participate in the festivities. Here are my creations for challenges...

Challenge 1: LimeTart's 2nd birthday!!! Happy Birthday LimeTart!
Stamp Credits: Just Johanna Hot air balloon. Stamped Hot air balloon on acetate using Staz On. Then painted with lime green, taupe and cream paint, added the brads, attached the acetate to the patterned paper, hand wrote sentiment, added ribbon and Prima flower with brad, then applied that to the top of the acetate. This was then added to the front of the card base and it was finished!

Challenge 2: Grab a cup 'o Joe! justjohanna challenge
Stamp Credits: Just Johanna. Worked with the Thin brown first and assembled all other materials on that. The blue strip is some Glimmer Misted paper in Bolivian blue and Meddeterranean Blue. Stamped snowflakes (to me they are like flowers) on that. added the scallopped circle, the cup and the cute steam sentiment. Then I added the ribbon, doodled a bit, arranged it on the card base and...Voila!

Challenge 3: One Layer Cards: Durcan Designs blog http://durcandesigns.typepad.com/stamping/2007/10/justjohanna-wcm.html

Stamp Credits: Just Johanna: Just a fun and simple card. I kept a mask across the page as I stamped a repeated row of flourishes. Then added the pink strip, scallopped the edge, added some yellow cardstock to make the edge show up, then added the bling and little punches.

Challenge 4: Monochromatic Challenge: Stampingmathilda's blog: http://stampingmathilda.blogspot.com/2007/10/justjohanna-wcmd-monochromatic.html

Stamp credits: Just Johanna. Stamped on acetate with Staz On, then reverse painted with acrylics. Doodled a sentiment on taupe paper with black pen, then attached the acetate to that with a brad. The acetate didn't stand out enough so I added the finishing touches of the faux stitching and the cream acrylic dots on the top of the acetate. Challenge 5: Use Felt or Fabric: Emily's Challenge: http://waterpixie.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/

For this card, I used some new Michael's Studio G acrylic stamps. I had some dupioni silk left over from a class I taught at my LSS so I decided to incorporate that. Isn't that little ladybug cute? Challenge 6: Use 3 Stamps: Julie's Challenge: http://thelandoflostluggage.blogspot.com/
Challenge 7: Recycle!: Kim H's Challenge: http://runningonink.blogspot.com/
Challenge 8: Recipe Challenge: Melissa's Challenge: http://lilybeanpaperie.typepad.com/lilybeans_paperie/
Challenge 9: No Patterned paper or fabric: Marieke's Challenge: http://mariekevermeulen.blogspot.com/

Stamp Credits: Michael's Studio G 1.00 acrylic stamps.

Marieke always has such colorful and "happy" cards so I decided to create a card representing her style. Her work reminds me so much of a famous clothing designer named Betsey Johnson. Her colorful, playful and happy creations just make me smile. While I was working, I couldn't help but feel a sense of "bubbliness" (if there is such a word) come over me.

Challenge 10: Fun Folds: Cathy's Challenge: http://cathystclair.blogspot.com/
Challenge 11: MINE: EARTH ELEMENTS
Challenge 12: Glitter Shine: Marnie's Challenge: http://papertivity.blogspot.com/

Stamp Credits: My Favorite Things. I used the little penguins repeatedly along the strip of white paper, then I added color with gamsol and colored pencils, added some Stickles for sparkle, added the ribbon, stamped and matted the sentiment and added a QK snowflake (Stickled, of course) with a bit of bling on top of the brad.

Challenge 13: Faux Stitching: Tracy's Challenge: http://durcandesigns.typepad.com/
Stamp Credits: Just Johanna. Oh, I think I've about lost it. Anyway, I had fun. I used up some extra VIBRANT scraps from Marieke's challenge to create this card. If you can't read the backward handwriting, it says: "Parlez vous Chickie?" "Peep"...I was trying my hardest to come up with a cute saying and my bran is mush!!!
