I'm out from under the pile of classwork!

I've been busy working hard on beginning of the school year stuff and I am just so exhausted. Changing schools and grade levels is quite a challenge to say the least. The new school student population is different and a big adjustment for me.

Anyway, I finally found some free time to post to my fun blog. I have created lots of things this month: some I can post, and some I have to wait a while. I submitted to another dt call (a new company called octoberafternoon). I didn't make the call, but did enjoy making the fun projects for the call. I can now post those creations to my blog. Take a peek and see what I sent them.

This is a collage of pictures I took on my first cruise to the Grand Caymans. I loved riding horseback on the beach and visioned a picture like this in my head (the main image) when I was riding the horse so I decided to take the one time opportunity to snap a shot....I love this photo.

This is a collection of photos for a Halloween scrapbook I made for my neices and nephews. Right now, it holds one of their photos and the other pages will be completed throughout the years. I used a paper mache box that opens like a book. I painted the box black, added pp and other fun stuff then worked to create a book to go inside the box. Boy, I loved how this turned out I ran right back to Recollections to buy two more boxes and some fun patterned paper to make some more. Watch for another box I'm making for my sister who is expecting in 3 months. It will be a box to collect baby memories.
This card was made using two new sets from Technique Tuesday. I used the postcard set and the snow set. I really love both of these sets and had fun layering to create this fun card.

Here are some more creations I've made since my last post...

I was inspired to create this card from a challenge on a stamping friend's blog. Mary Molianen challenged everyone to make simple one-layer cards. I used the new acrylic set from M's for this card. I masked a "row" then stamped all inside it, then added the ribbon as a final touch. I like the black and white on this card.

These four cards were created for a swap I hosted over at Paper Angels (a site for TAC angels). I was disappointed that there were only two people who sent cards for the swap. Because of the low numbers, I decided to use the four remaining Soar With It Collection paper lines so the swap would be complete. Each participant will receive one cardfront from each of the 8 new paper lines.
Phew...That's a lot to upload and I'm not even half way done!
I'll post more later.
